Hallie dropped in to check on Layla while I was away for a long afternoon. She sent pics of Layla and encouraged her to go outside for a little break.....however, in the 97* heat Layla didn't want to go.:-). Hallie was given some directions on how to access the house and she found everything easily. She has a kind personality and I will definitely use her the next time I need pet help.

Cathy was a God-sent for our fur baby this past winter season. Being new to the area and new to leaving our 5 year old lab, Hudson, we were SUPER nervous about a week long trip. Finding Cathy's profile was the beginning of a reassuring and down-right comfortable vacation away. She came over prior to our trip and we loved how quickly she acclimated into our home. She not only followed our detailed dietary and training directions, but NOW Hudson is expecting full-body massages after his walks! I received at least 30 pictures per visit of all their activities together and an overview explaining Hudson's behavior, meals, potty breaks, and play times. It is normally expensive to find such quality care from life-long animal lovers with the knowledge and experience required to accommodate efficient at-home visits... but with Cathy, we got that peace of mind. And a peace of mind is priceless.

Samantha and Max did an excellent job with our pups. We have two rescue dogs, one of which is afraid of new people. Because of this, we were concerned about leaving him for the first time with someone new. Samantha and Max assured us that they would be able to handle him and they were amazing with him. They were even able to get a leash on him to take him outside, despite his usual timid behavior. They followed our detailed instructions perfectly and were very patient and kind with our dogs. After the visit they sent several pictures so that we had peace of mind that the pups were okay. We will absolutely use them again.

Lauren went above and beyond yet again. We have a rough old girl that has issues with humans. However, Lauren came in, took her time, and our girl loves her. She took care of our home when accidents happened and she was always communicative about what was going on with our babies and our house. I can't say enough about the great job she has done for us.

Graham has done stop-in visits for our sometimes ill-tempered Havanese this summer and she does a wonderful job. He is old and often cranky and she took on the challenge to bond with him. Lots of effort there. She is very flexible and reliable. Great communicator. Really love and appreciate having her.

About: I’ve been an animal lover since I’d first discovered them as a young child, it never mattered the type or size, I’ve always been drawn to them. I grew up in the PNW where I spent many years in 4-H, showing horses and participating in our local county fair. Last year we took the leap and moved to South Carolina with our 2 senior dogs, 4 cats, and bearded dragon, and have been loving how beautiful it is. Since our move, we have acquired 3 more cats that were picked up as strays, bringing our total to a whopping 7 cats! I truly wouldn’t have it any other way. I have experience with all sizes, breeds, and energy levels of dogs, as well as behavioral issues. One of senior dogs struggles with reactivity while on leash, and I make it a point to make sure he is always comfortable and safe while out. I also specialize in pets with special needs who may require a little extra attention and care. One of the kittens we took in is completely blind, amongst other things, and had required daily medication at times. She also suffers from behavioral issues which is why I’m so adamant on being patient with animals. They are learning every day, just as we are. If given the opportunity, I promise to treat your animals as I do my own, with love and grace. I’ve been blessed enough to have a very open schedule and can pretty much fit any time a pet may need into my day. Whether it be weekdays or weekends, I’m flexible and have reliable transportation. The safety and comfort of your pets are my top priority and I plan to treat them the way I treat my own. I’m very mindful of securing doors and fences to insure your babies are safe and secure where they are supposed to be. I speak to all animals the way I would speak to a friend because I believe, while they may not be able to understand all the words, they can understand tone and intention.

About: I have a Bachelor's degree in Zoology, and Associates degree in Science and have cared for other peoples pets since I was 17 (August, 3 2026 I'll be 22) besides caring for my parents dogs and cats. I have expireance with special care needs like diabetic pets who need to be given insulin shots, elderly dogs with oral pills they would rather not take, and bouncing puppies who need to let out alot of energy. I also have owned many animals since I was little with minimal parental help. These animals include dogs, cats, snakes, mice, rats, fish, birds, spiders, and frogs. I have experience in highschool vet care and college lab and field experience in herpetology, ornithology, and ictheology. Your fur babies will love spending their time with me when you can't be there. I just graduated college and would love to make money doing somthing I'm good at; careing for animals. Since I just graduated and don't have another job currently I'm free at most times and would love to be of service to you. I will give my undivided attention to make sure your animal is happy and well cared for. I can take your dog to the dog park, and if you want I can bring my dog over for them to play. Dog/cat's needs and feed schedules can be precise. When I was caring for my aunts Diabetic cat I had to feed half of a 1/4 cup give him his insulin shot then feed the other half, this had to happen at 6am and 6pm exactly. The shot had to go into his opposite hip every time (left morning, right afternoon). I hope to offer your pet similarly the best care imaginable.

About: With years of experience caring for pets, I’ve developed a deep understanding and love for animals. I currently have a dog and a cat of my own. My dog, adopted at 2 months old, is now 1 year old and I’ve trained her through all of puppyhood, and my cat is 4 years old, who I’ve cared for since she was 3 months old. Friends, family, and neighbors trust me to care for their pets while they’re away, and I walk and care for a dog for an elderly lady in my town multiple times a week. I also have experience with training dogs and providing attentive care for elderly pets, ensuring each one receives the special attention they need. My dedication and hands-on experience set me apart as a compassionate and reliable pet sitter. I currently work part-time and remotely with a very flexible work schedule. I am available almost every day to care for pets, and am very flexible with my hours. In my home or yours, your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I maintain a pet-friendly, secure environment with constant supervision and plenty of affection. I follow all safety protocols, including secure leashes and harnesses for walks, and I ensure a clean, hazard-free space for your pet to explore and relax. Your pet will always receive personalized care tailored to their unique needs, ensuring a happy and stress-free experience. Trust that your furry friend is in capable and loving hands with me.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sandy Springs. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
