“It was my first time to hire Jessi and I was happy to have entrusted my kitties to her. She came on time, followed my instructions and replied quickly. My kitties warmed up to her, she sent me updates and photos. Will definitely keep her for the future.”

About: I've run a dog rescue that placed 1000+ dogs in new homes in 3 years, worked as a live-in animal care taker at a dog and cat boarding facility, and trained several service dogs for a national service dog organization. I've had dogs and cats of my own for over 20 years, and am often the person's friends and family call when they have a dog/cat question instead of google. I've seen and done it all, which means I know how to manage a wide variety of dogs and cats (and more) with all their personalities and quirks. I work full time, but with pretty flexible hours with enough heads-up. I have dogs and cats of my own, so I already have an easy routine of caring for them and it's quite easy to add another. I move my work schedule around to maximize the best times for hikes/outside time for the dogs depending on the weather. I try to take at least one of my dogs for hikes at the Clemson Experimental Forest 2-3x a week. I have a fenced yard with a small (fully enclosed and secure) chicken run. Any visiting dogs would have supervised time to play in the yard or the fenced back deck several times a day. I have 3 friendly dogs who would love to play or just hang out, or can be kept fully separate from any visitor if the visitor needs their space. They are used to mixing or staying separate from any visiting dogs/cats. I also have two cats who are dog friendly, or remain completely upstairs to themselves if any visitors aren't cat friendly. Visiting pets are setup in my home office with a crate of their own (if needed), plenty of windows, and room to play or bed to nap on.
About: Hi! My name is Savannah! I have two young lab mixes named Rocky and Whiskey. We are very active and enjoy hiking, swimming, and going on walks. I think it’s important not only to physically exercise a dog, but mentally exercise them as well. I enjoy creating puzzles and games for Rocky and Whiskey that stimulate their brain. As I was searching for a boarding kennel nearby, I noticed the lack of quality boarding kennels. I wanted Rocky and Whiskey to be able to have a similar schedule to our own to help follow what we’ve been working on in training classes. If you board dogs in a home, you can control a lot more of the atmosphere and that can help ease your dog’s anxiety while you’re away. I understand that pet owners want updates to ease their own anxiety and I’m happy to provide photos and updates. I enjoy meeting new dogs and their owners! As you can see from my photos, I have experience in a wide variety of dogs of different shapes and sizes. I would love to take your pup on a hike, go swim in the lake, or just play fetch in the backyard. I would love to keep your dog's routine as similar to their home life as possible. I would also love to match their activity level. My dogs are very high energy and needs a lot of walks and playtime during the day, but I understand your dog may not join us for all of them. I have a fenced in yard, rocky and whiskey are happy to keep your dog company! Rocky and Whiskey both have a lot of energy and loves to play and is crate trained so he can be put up easily if your dog needs a break. I normally wake up around 6:30 AM and let Rocky and Whiskey out to go to the bathroom. After their breakfast, we go on about a mile walk in the neighborhood. I leave for work at 8 AM and am back by noon. During lunch, Rocky, Whiskey and I will play with the Chuck- it. When I get home at 4:30 PM, I let Rocky and Whiskey out to play and they spends the rest of the night out of the crate. I try and take them on a run, or to a spot nearby where they can swim. On weekends, we like to go hiking and play in the backyard. I have a fenced backyard and dogs that will love to play with yours! We play a LOT of fetch and go on a lot of walks because my dogs are both high energy.
“Nicole was wonderful! She responded at the last minute (great communication) and took great care of our boy Teddy! We will definitely use her again when we are back at Clemson! Thank you so much!”

“Keri was awesome! She communicated consistently and effectively, came through on very short notice, and was wonderful with our two dogs. On top of that, she was flexible, adaptable, and helped out when some issues came up while we were out of town. I’d recommend her to anyone and would happily request her services again. I’m sure that her students love her as much as our pups do. -Erik & Alea”

“Phenomenal job with communicating and taking care of our pups while we were on vacay 😊 so thankful to have Tatum to help us out with our fur babies and will definitely be using her in the future!”

About: I have personally owned and cared for neighbors' dogs and other pets since I was 10. I have extensive care experience with puppy and adult small and large dogs, including bathing, walking, feeding, and general pet-sitting duties. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have also taken care of neighbors' and friends' pets. I give individualized care for each pet and parent's needs and appreciate that every dog is different. No request is too extreme! I am a graduate student at Clemson, so my schedule is flexible in the mornings and the afternoons after 3 PM, as well as on weekends. I can also accommodate mid-day potty breaks and walks! When it comes to your home and pets, my top priority is safety. I always use a leash when walking dogs and encourage them to remain close to me (their walking buddy!). For in-home pet sitting, I prefer to stick to your pets' usual routine so that your furry friend stays happy, even when you're out of town. I will also respect all of your personal property and will follow instructions to a T.
“At the very last minute I asked and Heidi responded with a "yes" to check on my dog while I attended a funeral. I was so grateful. She sent me photos and let me know how things were going. I would love to have her check on Layla again. I highly recommend her!”

My aunt is a vet so I would often go into her clinic and visit the animals there, I would also take my family member's dogs for walks all the time. About: I’ve been caring for animals for most of my life, growing up with both dogs and cats and continuing to pet sit regularly since I got my driver’s license. Over the years, I’ve worked with a variety of personalities—from high-energy, playful pets to more shy or older animals that need a calmer, more patient approach. What sets me apart is the level of attention and care I bring to each pet. As a graduate student, I have a flexible schedule, which means I can spend more quality time with your pet rather than rushing in and out. I’m very attentive to routines, behavior changes, and individual needs, and I make sure each pet feels comfortable and safe in their environment. I’m a graduate student at Clemson University with a flexible schedule, which allows me to be available for pet care throughout the day and week. I can easily adjust my routine to fit your pet’s needs and provide consistent, reliable care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent as possible, this includes feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific care instructions. I make sure pets feel comfortable in their own space by giving them plenty of attention, patience, and companionship.
“The animals are always in good hands with Courtney! She has excellent communication and always sends pics of the animals. Have used Courtney multiple times and will continue to do so when she's available!”

Elena was wonderful and took good care of my two boys. I got routine check-ins from her each time she came by and spent good quality time with them. She saved my skin before I was due to be on holiday for 2 weeks in Europe. I would definitely recommend her and would gladly book her again to stay with my dogs.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
