About: I grew up with both cats and dogs, which gave me early experience with daily pet care. This included feeding, walking, grooming, and playtime. Over the years, I’ve provided pet sitting for friends and neighbors while they were on vacation, caring for a variety of pets and making sure they felt comfortable and loved while their owners were away. Playing and spending time with animals is something that brings me a lot of joy. I understand the importance of giving pets the attention, care, and affection they need to feel safe and happy. I currently work full-time Monday through Friday but it is very flexible and mostly working from home. I am available for walks and drop in visits every day of the week. I offer walks and drop-in visits at clients' homes. I can also feed, play and cuddle with your fur babies so that you can have peace of mind to carry on with your day knowing your pet is well taken care of.

About: I’m an experienced pet owner and have cared for my own dog for 13 years now. Along with dogs I have owned/cared for cats, rats, and lizards. When I was younger I worked on a farm and developed a deep love for animals. I live a very active lifestyle and would be stoked to take your pet out for walks, runs, hikes, and beach day swimming! I have a large vehicle which has easy transportation for bigger dogs. I take the time to establish a genuine connection with your pet and want to foster a bond built on mutual understanding and respect. Having trust from you and your pet is an important relationship to have. I want you to be sure that your furry loved one and your home is being taken care of in the safest and best way possible for you. I am a full time worker and van-lifer. My home is on wheels which makes it easy to move around to meet your home sitting needs. My normal work week is Monday-Friday in Capitola. I’m not able to host animals in my home. Coming to your home is the best option, and making your pet feel safe and comfortable is #1!

“Allison is great! I needed someone to do some drop-ins while I was on a short work trip. Allison came by right on schedule, took care of everything with no problems, and was sure to send me photos and updates. And you can tell she genuinely enjoys getting to spend some time with the animals. I felt like my dog was very well taken care of.”

“Melanie did another amazing job caring for our chickens! She is especially gracious when it comes to handling our fiesty rooster, and I greatly appreciate her dedication to making sure all of our chickens are safe and cared for!”

About: Since I was a kid, I have loved all animals. I was fortunate enough to learn how to take care of multiple pet cats and rabbits in our home. I previously volunteered assisting in husbandry tasks for a bird rehabilitation center, and interned with a sea turtle conservation group in order to help save hatchlings. I also assisted my family in training our pit bull mix, who was adopted as an extremely anxious and reactive year old puppy. With compassion and patience, he is now a confident adult dog. I hope to provide that same compassion and patience to other animals in addition to my own. I have taken care of a variety of pups, from pit bulls to cane corsos. I love spending my time with animals and will make sure I do everything to keep them entertained and at ease. I’m currently in graduate school, so while I am taking classes and working part-time, my schedule can be flexible. I am happy to accommodate you and your pets’ needs. As of now, I am in class from 9am-5pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, but am available on those days in the early morning or evening. I have availability throughout the day on Mondays, Wednesdays, and weekends. I am flexible and hope to meet the needs of each individual pet and owner. I am happy to come to your home, or take your pets outside in various parks or beaches around town.

With regards to house sitting, I am trained and certified to administer injections, oral medications , and comfortable with pets who may need extra care (e.g. animals that are blind, feeding tubes, etc) . I am also open to more questions with regards to my training and background, so please do not hesitate to ask. I have random opportunities during the day and open on weekends. I am a full time practicing medical provider but do have cancelations and typically know my schedule ahead of time. I like to understand the pet's routine and safe spaces. If they have triggers or routines that help them, I would like to know about them.

“Rachel is AMAZING!! She is the peace of mind you need when choosing someone to care for your animal family. I have two very different cats with very different eating habits, as one can imagine, this comes with a cluster of instructions which she was sharply receptive and happy to do. Whether it’s one day or multiple days, she’s attentive and caring the whole way through. I know this because every time I return home, the energy from them feels as if I never left. Couldn’t be happier to have found her.”

“Matthew is a funny, kind hearted individual who is driven and overall a pleasure to be around. I worked with him for 2 years as his colleague in the cardiology department at VCA SFVS and Oakvet. I first met him when he was very new to the field but he had a yearning for learning and quickly learned the department and how to handle animals, with stress free handling. Matthew already has amazing customer service, so him growing into being a proficient well rounded cardio tech which lead to cardio lead tech and a service coordinator in various specialty and emergency departments. He also has great knowledge of biology and various medications, so he’s be a great sitter for dogs who require medication administration.”
