“Sarah took care of our two boxers for a long weekend and she's definitely going to be our go-to sitter! The dogs definitely got lots of play time, because they were exhausted when we picked them up. We loved getting the videos and pictures throughout their stay!”

“We were so happy leaving our dogs with Arleen and Daniel. We are planning a trip in October and we wanted to try an overnight for our kids first, to see how they would do. They kept us updated with pictures, made us feel totally at ease, and even though one of our little babies had some separation anxiety, they didn’t seem bothered by it at all. They understood it was their first time away from us since we had them. We are looking forward to using them in the future. They were the perfect match for our crazy teenagers.”

“If you want your furry babies to be loved when you "have to" go on vacation... this is who you need to contact. Absolutely, the best. We had a quick meet and greet before our scheduled date and they were so accommodating. Both Callie and Maverick were so happy to be in their company. Already planning another vacation so our doggies can go to Laura and Evan's house.”

“Pablo (and Javier) were the greatest care-givers our beagles could ever ask for! They were so easy and pleasant to communicate with, sent lots of happy updates of our pups while we were away, and they made sure our old doggies got all their medicines and treatment they needed. They also bathed our dogs and they were so happy with Pablo and Javier when we picked them up— even though they normally are terrified of strangers! LOOK NO FURTHER - this is who you want to entrust your sacred doggies with! 10/10!”

“Jason was wonderful with our dog, Sparky! He was caring, thoughtful, and enthusiastic! He sent us updates, videos, and photos multiple times throughout the day! Sparky interacted with his dog, Cooper, like they were best friends! In fact, we have agreed to allow Sparky and Cooper to maintain their friendship through playdates on a regular basis! We would definitely have Jason care for Sparky again should the need arise and recommend him to anyone who needs a reliable and excellent boarder for their dog!”

“Destini provided many pictures of Comet during his stay. After seeing how relaxed and well cared for he was, we felt very comfortable with our choice. The large fenced yard provided plenty of space for Comet. We will definitely use Destini in the future and recommend her services.”
“Maggie was taken care of really well. She was played with and loved. I really love the pictures that were sent, and they really ease my anxiety for leaving Maggie May. Only the second time in her five years of living. I would highly recommend any one to use Meltem, as I plan to in the future.”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats of all ages and breeds. I’ve raised puppies and taken care of senior pets. Unfortunately I do not have any pets right now, I lost our senior dog a little over a year ago and my heart is still recovering.. My goal with my own animals and with my guests is to provide a safe, balanced, and fulfilling place for them to come and have some fun! They will be exercised, basic training (sit, stay, loose leash walking) will be worked on and lots of love! I understand that your animals mental health is just as important as their physical so I strive to make it a well rounded experience for your special pet! I am currently self employed and have a lot of time during the day to take care of your pets needs. I homeschool my 2 daughters (8 & 9 years old), who are very knowledgeable in animals and the handling and care of pets. I am an animal person through and through and I love when I have new friends around to play with and learn from!! The flexibility in my schedule gives me the ability to be able to do “field trips” with the doggies several times a week which is great for our puppy friends that need as much exposure to new things as possible ( 100 things in 100 days!)!! I understand how unnerving it can be leaving your dog or cat with a stranger while you’re away, I used to feel the same way which is what made me want to help others have a safe spot for their animals, free of doubt and worry. Each animal gets one on one attention and there is someone with them at all times. I want your pet to feel like they are at their second home when they are with me and want you to feel confident that they are well taken care of and loved.
“Mrs Diana took very good care of Kali. She made sure to send videos and pictures of Kali during her stay. Diana was super quick with responding regarding any questions. HIGH RECOMMEND!!!!”

“Melisa was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Leo! She spent so much quality time with him….playing, walking, and really making sure he felt comfortable and cared for. I could tell he was happy and well loved while I was away, which gave me so much peace of mind. It means a lot to find someone who treats your pet like their own, and Melisa truly did that. I would 100% trust her with Leo again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter! 🐾💛”

“Emma kept Belle for 6 nights. She picked her up and dropped her off on time. She sent us photos daily. Our dog came home without any digestive issues. She even protected her during storms. ⛈️”

“Tia was amazing. She took great care of our fur babies. We are travel nurses and we take our dogs everywhere. Unfortunately, they were unable to come with us this time. Tia was able to manage and give lots of love to our Pomeranian that has very bad separation anxiety. Tia sent us updates, pictures and videos everyday. We are so happy with her. If we are ever back in Omaha I will totally and with all the trust in the world leave my fur babies with her again. We 100% recommend her and I’ll be sure to recommend her to all our travel nurse friends.”

“Viviana and her husband were great with our little Milo; I wasn't sure that he wanted to leave when we picked him up. Viviana sent pictures and was very communicative during Milo's stay. I highly recommend her as a sitter and will leave Milo with her again if the opportunity arises.”

“Summit took great care of my active lab, he arranged meet and greet, was very prompt in responsing to questions and overall very enjoyable to talk to. He has 4 adorable and friendly dogs, big fanced backyard and clearly loves to host dogs in his house. My pup looked sooo happy in picture and videos and came come healthy and happy! I would use Summit for long and short stay without any hesitation. Thank you again!”

“Ashlee is a God send. We had been to a lot of dog sitters and this is the first time that our dog came home really happy. I could tell that she really cares for dogs and genuinely loves what she does.. we will be coming back Ashlee!!! Thank you for taking good care of Sparky.”

“Lori and her family are wonderful. She took great care of our little girl. She was constantly in touch, sending pictures and texts. If given the chance I'm sure our dog would prefer to stay with them, there were great. Lori is flexible and accommodating. We will definitely be using her again.”

“Tracy was great with our dog, Wylie! She treated her like her own and sent updates of pictures and videos. Our dog came home tired and happy! Thank you for taking such good care of her! We will definitely use Tracy again in the future.”

Tara did such a great job taking care of my dog, Brixie! She was very caring and kept me updated, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I felt comfortable knowing Brixie was in good hands. I would definitely trust Tara to watch her again and highly recommend her! ❤️🐾

Jason took excellent care of my kitten, Eren! He kept me updated throughout the stay with plenty of photos and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear that Eren was comfortable, well cared for, and receiving lots of attention and affection. I truly appreciated the communication and would absolutely trust Jason to watch Eren again. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Natasha was absolutely amazing! I went to do a meet and greet with someone else before I met with her and I was in tears and could not leave my baby with them. This left me wary when I met Natasha, but she quickly put me at ease and Mickey fit right in at her home! Natasha sent me updates daily and I knew my dog was safe and having a blast with her and her family! Thank you, Natasha and Gaspare.

This was our first booking with Karen, and we couldn’t be happier with the care she provided. She took exceptional care of our senior dog, making sure all of his needs and medications were handled with great attention. Karen sent us daily updates with photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that our dog was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We truly appreciated her kindness and communication. We will definitely be booking with her again in the future!
We had an awesome experience! They were incredibly friendly, kind, and easy to work with from start to finish. Communication was great, and I felt completely comfortable leaving my dog in their care. It’s clear they genuinely love animals and go above and beyond to make both pets and owners feel at ease. I would absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter!
Sport has stayed with Brianne and her family many times and absolutely love him and treat him as their own. I’m very picky with Sport being he’s like a human to me ;) And it makes life easier when he returns home to us. Brianne is so accommodating with my requests for him. She’s the best!

Cayce and her daughter were awesome for our Buddy. He’s a rescue with separation anxiety, so we were nervous, too! Cayce and her daughter put us all at ease with lots of little notes and photos. They made our daughter’s wedding weekend extra perfect! Thank you Cayce!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
