Information Jerald S. would like to know about your pet

What is great about the "Meet & Greet" is that special needs are communicated and also each dog gets accustomed to the environment and the "lay of the ground" of our home, so they are all familiar with us and our home prior to initial drop off.

A typical day

I do regular walks with each dog and go the distance and pace according to the limits each dog is comfortable with depending on age and physical stamina. We also do regular trips to nearby parks.

Pet care experience

My wife and I moved to Cape Coral from Eden Prairie, Minnesota over 7 years ago and have been providing individual dog care for over six of those. I am not interested in operating a "kennel" type operation, and only take one client at a time. This allows for a calm, happy and non-threatening atmosphere for your pet. Each guest dog has the "run of the house", and are free to hop up on the furniture (or bed) if they are inclined to. I enjoy daily trips to the local parks. including J C, Horton, Rotary and Cape Harbor. A typical exercise day would include morning walk to empty out, 2-3 hour park trip at noon, and evening walks. If you check out my profile pictures, you will get a feel for how each dog displays and reflects a happy and satisfied experience.

I have left my dog with Jerald once before for a weekend and it was fine. This time was not. I know there are a lot of decent reviews for this sitter but I will never book with Jerald again. I picked Jerald since they only take one client at a time. That was false. My dog is on a special diet, he’s older, and not social. Upon drop off, there was another dog that was “leaving the following day”, when I went to pick him up today, that dog was still there along with 2 more dogs. My dog looks like he didn’t eat much and dropped weight. That could be due to him being with other dogs and possibly not being able to eat his food or getting his food eaten. I got updates on the dog for the first 2 days and then nothing. Finally, the icing on the cake. They bring out the dogs bed and it was dirty. Fine. Then my dog comes out and he had what looked like dried up stool all over his butt. These were clumps of poop dried up all over and their answer to that was, “oh, he was pooping yesterday and it got stuck. I tried to wipe it with a leaf”. His butt and rear area is all swollen. I’ve never seen anything like it. I have opened a case with Rover. This is not what I expected to come back to.

The process was very easy! It was my first time leaving my dog with people I didn’t know so I wasn’t comforting to have a meet & greet. They sent pictures and gave me updates, such sweet folks! Thank you

I would definitely recommend Jerald. We let me older Westin with him for 9 days. I received updates through out the week and my dog was content upon pick up. Will definitely use Jerald again.

Jerald and his wife Sharon took excellent care of my little Schnoodle, June. I could immediately tell they loved dogs when June snuggled up to them during our meet and greet. Jerald also provided me with updates and photos. 100 percent recommended!
