“We left our buddy with her and it was his first time ever being away from mom n dad and we were so blessed to find Gulcin she is wonderful with him and would recommend her to any pet parent we got pictures and videos and updates that helped us with the separation”

“Maggie was taken care of really well. She was played with and loved. I really love the pictures that were sent, and they really ease my anxiety for leaving Maggie May. Only the second time in her five years of living. I would highly recommend any one to use Meltem, as I plan to in the future.”

“Cesar was amazing with Hershey! From the moment we met, I could tell he genuinely cares about animals. He kept me updated throughout the stay with pictures and messages, and Hershey looked so happy and comfortable. It meant a lot knowing my dog was in such good hands. I highly recommend Cesar and would absolutely trust him with Hershey again. Thank you for taking such great care of my baby! 🐾❤️”

“Olga is a great provider. Our dog had never been boarded (and he is 2 years old) and she put all my concerns to rest. He did great. I will definitely be using Olga again!”

“We had an out-of-state family wedding before we recently got our puppy Scooter. Not being able to take him with us, and having no one to watch him, we searched on Rover.com. We are extremely happy we found Tara. She was willing to meet with us first just to get acquainted with him before our trip. He did wonderfully. Tara took such very, very good care of him. She truly loves what she does and it shows. We trust her 100%. Do not hesitate to leave your family member with her. Tara is the BEST!!”

“Diana took care of my Frenchie and did a great job. Offered communication at every step, with pictures and videos. She was available to answer questions all the time. I would recommend her services to anyone.”

About: We’ve cared for many dogs over our lifespan- combined of 36 years. From small to big, high energy to very little, our house is the perfect fit. We’ve crate trained and potty trained all our dogs and no longer use a crate for any purpose however still have one available. We go on several walks a dog around our neighborhood and have a spacious lanai patio and fenced in backyard with a pool. With part time hours and someone always typically being home, the only time we are out are for sports Saturday mornings for a max of 2 hours. Pets are always welcome to join us if appropriate as we are always at a pet friendly park and our pup loves to join. Morning and afternoon walks are a must as we are an active family and spend our days outside anyway. We have a fenced yard and a lanai in our backyard. We have gates for indoor if needed as well as a crate. Water bowls are available all over the house!
“Cynthia and her family did an amazing job watching AK during our long weekend trip. Cynthia sent daily updates, videos, and photos during AK's stay in their home. Cynthia took the time to ask all important questions to ensure AK was well cared for and adjusted to her know in a comfortable manner. Cynthia was kind to adjust the stay and allow AK to stay another night due to delay in travel plans. When arriving home after picking up AK Cynthia included a sweet picture of AK during his stay in her home. We will definitely be using Cynthia and her family's services again.”
“Destony was absolutely amazing! From the moment we met her, she was kind, professional, and clearly cared about our dogs as if they were her own. Throughout their stay, she kept us at ease and made sure they were well cared for, comfortable, and happy. What stood out most was how attentive and loving she was with them. Hearing that they were sweet, well-behaved, and that she wouldn’t mind watching them again truly speaks to the positive environment she created for them. She also went the extra mile by keeping us informed and reminding us about their evening feeding. We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter and would not hesitate to book with Destony again in the future. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely passionate about animals, Destony is the perfect choice. Highly recommend!”

“VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER! Our Dog Nova (a lab mix) stayed with Emily and Aaron for a little over a week and they treated her like family. They made sure she had plenty of play time, company and got her medicine. They were very easy to communicate with, quick to respond and sent regular updates. Honestly I hope they are always available when I go out of town. :) Thanks you guys!”

“LuLu had a blast with Claudia and her family!! Claudia sent me photos throughout the whole stay to let me know how LuLu was doing. Claudia is so sweet and communicative throughout the whole stay! I really felt at ease with LuLu there!!!! LuLu will def. Be staying with Claudia again!! ❤️”

“Tia took such good care of our puppies, that they were spoiled! I can imagine that caring for 2 active dogs is not an easy task but we really appreciate knowing that they are in good hands. Tia picked them up and dropped them off which is an extra service that makes handoff so much easier for us. Tia is also a veterinarian so we rest assured that if anything happened to the our puppies she would know exactly what to do.”

“Tracy took amazing care of my dog for a couple of weeks and went above and beyond throughout his stay. She was reliable, attentive, and treated my dog like one of her own. She also shared regular photos and videos, which really put my mind at ease since it was the first time I had left him for an extended period. I would absolutely book Tracy again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter who truly shows love and compassion for the dogs in her care.”

“Vilma was very thoughtful & caring with my puppy. She followed instructions & willingly sent updates on our pets progress throughout our trip which was reassuring. Would use her services again if needed.”

“We loved our experience with sarah. She took amazing care of Lyla over Christmas, and we had total peace of mind knowing she was so well loved. Couldn’t recommend her more and would 100% book again”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
