“Once again Bryce was a great dogsitter for my black lab Ruby. This was my second time bringing Ruby to his house and when she saw him she jumped over wagging her tail and ran into the house with him without looking back. She looked great and was in good health and good spirits when I picked her up . 100% would book again in the future .”

“Pixie came home better trained than when she left. She also got lots of love and Jeanette found a food my dog would eat reliably. That’s something we have struggled to do. Thank you!”

“Gabriela is totally awesome, she took excellent care of my two dogs for three and a half days and sent me awesome vids and updates throughout the entire time of them playing in the yard. Highly recommend her to pet sit, thank you some much!”

“Xan watched our 11 yr. old Maltese twice and we could not be luckier to have found her. She is definitely an animal lover and her pups are adorable and very well behaved. My little guy isn't the most social but he got along very well at Xan's apartment. I would highly recommend her and we will be asking her to watch Yeyo again.”
“Luna had a great stay with Jacqueline. I highly recommend this sitter. She was giving us updates and pictures. Jackeline is a dog lover, everything was clean and organized. I was delighted and I felt very relaxed knowing Jackeline was taking care of Luna.”

“Our 1 year old Rottweiler, Maggie, stayed with Maya for 4 nights and had a great time! Maya was accommodating, responsive, and sent daily photos and updates. We felt completely at ease on vacation knowing Maggie was getting plenty of playtime, constant supervision, and lots of love and attention. It was clear she was treated like family. We will definitely be back to see Maya! 🐾💕”

“Cammeron did a wonderful job watching our dog Timmy. She took care of him as if he was her own and Timmy seemed very happy. Communication with pictures was very comforting and the property was perfect for dogs. I would definitely use her in the future to watch Timmy again!”

“Our dog is twelve but still active. She loves people, but not always other dogs. No kennel, not even a free range dog facility, was the answer. I pored over the Rover entries; I kept returning to Kelly. What a good choice! Kelly and her son love dogs. Both of them were concerned with her happiness and safety. Kelly sent pictures and updates, which amused and reassured us. We returned to a happy dog!”

“Benny had a great vacation at Jennie's home. They took such wonderful care of Benny and were very thoughtful, as they sent me updates on how he was enjoying his stay and many pics. throughout his stay. Benny can be a picky eater and she followed the directions perfectly too . It is clear when you meet Jennie that she's a very caring and lovely person. If you ever need someone to take really excellent loving care of your dog and you're lucky enough to get Jennie you'll be so happy.”

“Bri and PJ took such great care of our Titan! He got to play in their yard with a pool and was even taken on outings. I also loved that they have a big dog who Titan could play with. We received great photos and updates during his stay and we were never concerned about whether or not he was ok. That peace of mind really allowed us to enjoy our short but much-needed weekend trip! 10/10 recommend!”

“Erin is amazing. She treated our boy like he was her own. Daily updates and pictures of him having fun adventures with her pups put our family at ease. I’m so glad we found her, and we will definitely ask her to watch our boy again. Highly recommend!”

“Emmy offered a wonderful, caring oasis for our dog Leo I highly recommend her services. She is very responsive and kept us updated with pictures and texts about his stay. She has two wonderful friendly sweet dogs of her own so there is lots of play time both inside and outside in her very dog friendly property. I felt so comfortable leaving Leo in her care and will definitely use her services again.🐾”

“My little Shassi just loved being at Cathleen's and watching TV with her. Shassi is an anxious dog and Cathleen made her feel right at home. I could tell, from the pics Cathleen shared, that Shassi was content and had fun and was taken care of as well as I would do. Thank you Cathleen for being you! <3”

Maddy did an outstanding job caring for both of my dogs while I was away. From the start, she was professional, communicative, and clearly experienced with dogs. She kept me updated throughout their stay and made sure they were well cared for, comfortable, and happy. Both of my dogs took to her immediately, and it gave me great peace of mind knowing they were in such capable hands. When I picked them up, they were relaxed, healthy, and clearly well looked after. I highly recommend Maddy to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and caring dog sitter. I will absolutely be booking with her again in the future!

We had a wonderful experience with Federica! Our pup had such a great time staying with her and Bella over the weekend—it was clear he felt comfortable, happy, and well cared for. We really appreciated how flexible Federica was with scheduling and how she kept us updated throughout the stay with messages and photos. It gave us peace of mind knowing our dog was in good hands. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!

We are so grateful to Loida for stepping in for a last-minute, full-day pet sit. She was kind, communicative, and incredibly understanding of our dogs’ needs, especially with one of our pups who has some specific behavioral quirks. Her dog training experience really showed and gave us total peace of mind. We loved getting photos throughout the day. It was so fun to see what they were up to and know they were happy and in good hands. Thank you so much, Loida! Highly recommend! 🐾🐕

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
