“Every time Murphy is with John I know he’s in the best hands. Sends frequent updates. This time Murphy was sick with some GI troubles. John updates regularly was comfortable caring for my baby the way I would. Would give higher rating if possible. Thank you John!!!”

“Randy & Karen did a FANTASTIC job with our Franki (Pug) for the 11 days! Kept us updated with pictures. Would definitely recommend him and will be using him again on our next adventure.”

“Cynthia and her family did an amazing job watching AK during our long weekend trip. Cynthia sent daily updates, videos, and photos during AK's stay in their home. Cynthia took the time to ask all important questions to ensure AK was well cared for and adjusted to her know in a comfortable manner. Cynthia was kind to adjust the stay and allow AK to stay another night due to delay in travel plans. When arriving home after picking up AK Cynthia included a sweet picture of AK during his stay in her home. We will definitely be using Cynthia and her family's services again.”

“Vetra was amazing with my girls and I highly recommend her! I have already rebooked for a second stay. Vetra kept my girls on their routine and sent me pictures and messages to let me know they were doing well. I was able to fully enjoy my trip knowing that they were being well loved and cared for while I was gone.”

“Olga is a great provider. Our dog had never been boarded (and he is 2 years old) and she put all my concerns to rest. He did great. I will definitely be using Olga again!”

“This was the first time we used a pet sitter. Jessica did a great job of communicating how Sunny was doing while we were gone. She even sent photos! I would recommend her to other pet families.”

“Natasha was amazing! She gave us updates everyday and sent pictures as well. Lulu was so happy in all the pictures. When we picked Lulu up she was trying to take Natasha home with us; making sure she was following us to the car. I will definitely be rebooking with her and everyone should leave their fur babies with her. She is so loving and caring.”

“I love them for my puppy! I got updates very often, wasn’t hard at all to get in contact. She knows how to handle dog very well! My dog came back healthy and happy thanks to them! The really helped me while i was away on a business trip. She had other dogs so my dog was able to socialize and be able to get all his energy out bc he’s playing with other dogs! He also picked up a couple of good habits while he was over there! I DEFINITELY TIPPED & I will be returning if i ever need a sitter !”

“Erika (and her daughter!) were absolutely wonderful with our puppy, Covey. She sent plenty of photos and updates throughout his stay, and it was so clear that they both genuinely enjoyed spending time with him. They treated him like family — playful, loving, and attentive to all his little quirks. It gave us total peace of mind knowing he was in such caring hands. We’d trust Erika and her daughter with Covey anytime and can’t recommend them enough! 💛🐶”

“Thank goodness we found Diana. We are from out of town and needed an overnight stay for our dog. Diana and her sons took great care of Pork Chop. I don’t think he even missed us.”

“Outstanding and excellent care. We’ve only had our rescue dog from Mexico for a few months, so we’re concerned how she would handle a 13-day stay at Jackie and Russ’. We planned this cruise two years ago so couldn’t cancel. She had a great visit! The care given was loving, caring and optimized making sure our dog overcame her fears and anxiety of being left for so long. Our dog came home calm and happy and looked great. Can’t say enough about the terrific care our dog received. ThNk you, thank you, thank you!”

“Claudia was able to watch Bug last minute and sent plenty of pictures to make us feel comfortable after recently rescuing her! Claudia treated her as if she were her own and we are forever thankful!”

About: We’ve cared for many dogs over our lifespan- combined of 36 years. From small to big, high energy to very little, our house is the perfect fit. We’ve crate trained and potty trained all our dogs and no longer use a crate for any purpose however still have one available. We go on several walks a dog around our neighborhood and have a spacious lanai patio and fenced in backyard with a pool. With part time hours and someone always typically being home, the only time we are out are for sports Saturday mornings for a max of 2 hours. Pets are always welcome to join us if appropriate as we are always at a pet friendly park and our pup loves to join. Morning and afternoon walks are a must as we are an active family and spend our days outside anyway. We have a fenced yard and a lanai in our backyard. We have gates for indoor if needed as well as a crate. Water bowls are available all over the house!
“Kelsie and her husband were great! They took our booking last-minute for an entire week. We got pictures of our pup, Minerva, every day and an update, too! Their property is perfect, especially since our dog is OBSESSED with being outside. When we picked Minerva up at the end of the booking, Kelsie had nothing but nice things to say about her and even let us know that she is welcome back whenever. Such a great experience and such kind people. We will definitely be booking with them in future and will recommend them for any of our friends who need dog boarding! Thank you guys!!!!”

Ashlee is a God send. We had been to a lot of dog sitters and this is the first time that our dog came home really happy. I could tell that she really cares for dogs and genuinely loves what she does.. we will be coming back Ashlee!!! Thank you for taking good care of Sparky.

Eric was amazing! He opened up his home to Oscar and he immediately became part of his family. Eric was very attentive, always gave updates and photos to ensure that we knew our pup was in great hands. Oscar had a lot of fun and, looked like, so did Eric and his pup :). Will definitely use him in the future.

Drew was amazing with Sloane! He has such a great sense of humor — he even told us she was out in the backyard doing her little “zoomies” because she was so happy. That cracked us up and honestly told me everything I needed to know about how much she liked him. He treated her like family, even letting her sleep with him, which made her feel right at home. We came back to a relaxed, happy girl. Highly recommend Drew — Sloane will definitely be visiting him again!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
