I also believe in keeping pet parents updated with regular messages and photos so they can have peace of mind while their pets are in my care. In my own personal experience I have worked with pets ever since I was 13 and have loved animals my whole life. I have watched multiple animals at one time, administered medication, provided walks, provided cuddles/play times, and provided over night stays for the past few years. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, or simply having a calm companion around, I will provide patient and loving care tailored to their needs. My goal is to treat every pet as if they were my own and ensure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and care. I am currently a full time student at FGCU. However I only have closes on Tuesday and Thursdays. I am available any time when I don’t have class. I work part time at a babysitting company, however I make my own schedule and therefore am very flexible! Safety and comfort are my top priorities when caring for pets. In a client's home, I follow all care instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medication routines, exercise needs, and any household rules. I make sure pets have fresh water, a clean environment, and plenty of attention and companionship while their owners are away. I understand that pets are often most comfortable in their familiar surroundings, so I work to maintain their normal routine and minimize stress. I also pay close attention to any changes in behavior or health and will communicate promptly with owners if I have any concerns. I treat every home and pet with respect, keeping living areas clean, securing doors and gates, and ensuring pets remain safe at all times. I provide regular updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind knowing their pets are happy, comfortable, and well cared for.

About: I have experience taking care of my own dogs for the majority of my life, but after moving away from my childhood home I am looking for other pets to love! I am new to Rover, but I have worked with both puppies and senior dogs all throughout my life. My childhood dog lived to be 15 with severe epilepsy, so I have a great amount of experience administering various medications and would be happy to accommodate for any dog. I’m currently a full time grad student at FGCU. I have class weekdays from 8-4, however I have an hour for lunch everyday. I would be happy to visit during my lunch, before school, or anytime in the evening. My weekends are available! I live with a cat and 3 other girls in a small apartment, so I do not feel confident in my ability to care for your dog the way I want to in this setting. Because I exclusively offer care at your home, your pet's comfort, routine and safety are my top priorities. I strictly follow all instructions left, prioritize the care and safety of your home, and am happy to provide photos and updates each visit.

About: I have experience caring for small and large dogs. One opportunity was with a younger small dog and an older large dog. I house sat for two weeks two summers in a row, I took the smaller dog on walks, made sure to feed both dogs on a set schedule, and administered medication to the senior dog. My personal pet previously had health issues and I would also administer medication to her twice a day. Therefore I am comfortable working with dogs who may have health issues. I have also done drop in visits with a smaller dog for a month one summer where I would walk her, play with her, and make sure she was fed twice daily. I love to go on walks, and would love a furry friend to tag along! I am a full time graduate student so my schedule can be random. If there’s a time you want a walk or drop in visit I could throw one in the schedule! I currently am not available to do in house pet sitting as I am renting an apartment that is not pet friendly. I have done in client home pet sitting mainly, as my two previously clients also needed a house sitter as well.

The next time we go away, we will definitely be reaching out to you again. Thank you for all that you did!

We booked Cheryl for drop in visits for our three cats while my wife and I were out of town, couldn’t have been more amazing! Cheryl gave our squeamish kitty the medication she needed without any issues, and provided us with over a dozen pictures every drop on visit and even a video every day! Was awesome having the peace of mind knowing that such a great sitter was taking care of our kitties, would recommend Cheryl to anyone!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Estero. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
