“Jennifer is fantastic! She was the first time we ever left the two dogs with anyone besides family. After her first visit and update I was able to enjoy the entire vacay. The dogs were beyond loved the week Jen took care off them. We will definitely use Jen anytime we need doggie sitting. Thank you again Jen for everything! 😘”

“Amazing service! Kasandra communicated every day and sent pictures. She was so accommodating when I had to make a change to the booking. Overall very good experience and would hire her again.”

“Eddy was extremely reliable. He spent a minimum of 30 min for each drop in visit and most of the time even longer of a stay. He kept us informed and viewing our puppies through photos. Excellent provider!”

About: I have experience caring for a wide variety of animals including dogs, cats, reptiles, and other furry friends. I’m comfortable with different personalities, routines, and care needs. I’m very patient, attentive, and always make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I work full time as a healthcare professional during the week, which has made me extremely responsible, detail oriented, and trustworthy. I understand how important it is to follow instructions carefully and provide dependable care. I’m available for pet sitting during evenings, nights, and weekends, and I’m happy to accommodate your pet’s routine whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, medications, playtime, or extra cuddles. I’ll treat your pet like my own and keep you updated with messages and photos so you can feel completely at ease while you’re away!
About: I have had my own dog for 6 years and have been around dogs my whole life! Anytime someone needs their dog watched, i’m always the first person they think of! Right now I am waiting on starting my new job! I will only work 3 12 hour shifts a week once I start. I work nights so I will be available throughout the day, even on days I work! I will not be caring for pets in my own home! But in clients homes I will treat their pets and house like my own.

“Thank you so much for dropping in and checking on my baby. She definitely doesn’t like to walk when it’s hot out even with me, lol. Thank you for bringing her the treats…. That’s what she loves the most. 🙂. And belly rubs lol”

“Kayla was amazing from beginning to start. We contacted her with a very little notice and she accommodated us perfectly. She was amazing with Molly and Molly LOVED her. We would like to thank Kayla and recommend her to anyone who needs a reliable and an awesome dog sitter!”

About: I adore all pets, but especially dogs and puppies! I’ve helped care for my own dog who I consider mine for 16 years now. I have babysat for many families who also had dogs. I am always one call away for our neighbors too if they need their dog let out or fed! I have a part time job as well as I am finishing my last semester of college. I am very flexible and have lots of free time. I am only in class for an hour twice a week. I have lots of time that I enjoy spending going on walks and keeping your pets company! I love taking my own dog for a walk or playing catch with him in the yard. I always check to make sure he has PLENTY of water, especially during these hot summer days! I make sure he is fed as well. No accidents left unclean in my home either!
“B. is simply the best. She connects with your pets and goes the extra mile. She made sure every instruction was followed and took fabulous care of our three dogs. She is kind and patient with my less confident little dog and understood the needs of my rambunctious puppy and my more senior dog. I was very nervous about my fur babies and B. alleviated my fears and took beautiful care of our dogs. 💯⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Alesia is the best! She kept me updated regularly and I could tell she genuinely cared about my cats. When my door lock wouldn’t work, she provided the food to my outside cats so they wouldn’t go hungry until I got back. I will definitely use her again and highly recommend her!!!”

About: I have experience caring for small and large dogs. One opportunity was with a younger small dog and an older large dog. I house sat for two weeks two summers in a row, I took the smaller dog on walks, made sure to feed both dogs on a set schedule, and administered medication to the senior dog. My personal pet previously had health issues and I would also administer medication to her twice a day. Therefore I am comfortable working with dogs who may have health issues. I have also done drop in visits with a smaller dog for a month one summer where I would walk her, play with her, and make sure she was fed twice daily. I love to go on walks, and would love a furry friend to tag along! I am a full time graduate student so my schedule can be random. If there’s a time you want a walk I could throw one in the schedule! I currently am not available to do in house pet sitting as I am renting an apartment that is not pet friendly. I have done in client home pet sitting mainly, as my two previously clients also needed a house sitter as well.

I am currently living in a dorm, so I do not offer sitting or home service, but I am well experienced to home environments with pets!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Miromar Lakes. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
