I provide attentive, reliable care for both dogs and cats with a strong focus on consistency, comfort, and trust. As a Florida Gulf Coast University student and employee at the Ritz-Carlton Tiburón in Naples, I bring a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and a service-oriented mindset into every home I care for. I’ve grown up with animals my whole life, including my dog Rocky and my cat Callie (a pure Burmese), so I understand how different each pet can be. Through caring for them, I’ve learned how important routine, patience, and attention are in keeping pets happy and comfortable. In addition, I’ve house sat and pet sat for over 10 families in my neighborhood in Maryland, which gave me experience with a wide range of breeds, personalities, and routines. I’m comfortable caring for energetic dogs, older pets, and cats that may be shy, independent, or very social. What sets me apart is my ability to adapt to each pet’s individual needs while maintaining a calm, structured environment. I closely follow feeding schedules, walks, litter box care, and any specific instructions to ensure everything stays consistent while you’re away. I also pay attention to behavior and subtle changes so I can respond quickly if needed. I understand that trusting someone with your home and pets is a big decision, so I prioritize clear communication and am always happy to send updates and photos for peace of mind. My goal is to create a seamless, stress-free experience for you, while making sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. 🐾

When caring for pets in a client’s home, my main priority is maintaining their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, litter box care, and any specific preferences your pet is used to. I make sure your home stays clean and well-kept, and I treat your space with the same respect I would my own. I also spend quality time with each pet based on their personality, whether that’s active play and walks for dogs, a calmer and more gentle approach for cats, or attentive care for other pets such as small animals, fish, or more unique pets. I’m comfortable adapting to different needs and always take the time to understand what works best for each animal. I pay close attention to behavior and mood, so I can quickly notice if anything seems off and respond appropriately. In my own home, I create a clean, safe, and calm environment where pets can feel relaxed. I make sure they have plenty of attention, supervision, and a consistent routine. No matter the setting, my goal is to provide dependable, attentive care so both you and your pet feel completely at ease. 🐾

We, and our two dogs (Barney and Bodie) were so lucky to have found Mackenna on Rover. It has been a busy summer for us, and Barney and Bodie, had never been away from their homes or their dad (me) for any long period of times. This summer has brought an engagement trip, family wedding trip, and unfortunately a family funeral trip. Mackenna stepped in and took exceptional care of Barney and Bodie. Barney is very senior (18 or 19yrs) and is now deaf and mostly blind. He understands his home, but nighttime is tougher for him, as he needs frequent potty breaks, and he is not as aware during the nights. Mackenna stayed at our home, she had no problem dealing with Barney's schedule or his special feeding routine, and plant supplements to be administered. She also took Bodie (8 yr old collie) on numerous walks, and provided what he needed so he was also comfortable while his dad(me) being away, and then, the trip was extended due to a family death. Mackenna saved the situation, saying she could stay longer, immediately given us peace of mind. She is so caring, trustworthy, and she loves animals. We are grateful for your kindness!!
We are so happy and thankful to have Mackenna house and dog sit for us. We have two dogs, one who is very senior, with no hearing, and recently lost most of his sight. Mackenna came to our house prior to the house sitting and met both dogs. Upon talking with her, my wife and I were very comfortable that the Barney and Bodie would be well cared for, and they were. Barney has special needs at his age, and Mackenna changed her other work schedule to fit those needs of his. She texted us while we were away, and even sent photos. Mackenna displays a kind heart for animals, and you can be assured they will be well cared for by choosing her. We will definitely hope she is available when we have other out of town events. Mackenna was great. I appreciated that she stayed a little longer to get to know my cat! I will definitely use her again.

I have a very flexible schedule and will have full availability throughout the summer, which allows me to fully prioritize pet care and adapt to your pet’s specific routine. Whether your pet needs early morning walks, consistent feeding times, or extra attention and companionship throughout the day, I’m able to accommodate those needs without feeling rushed or unavailable. Because of this flexibility, I can provide a more consistent and attentive level of care, making sure your pet feels comfortable, relaxed, and well cared for while you’re away.
