“Alena!! Our favorite sitter on Rover we’ve ever used. She goes above and beyond and I know our fur babies are in good hands with her. She is so funny with her drop in visit reports and always keeps us updated. 10/10 recommend her for your pet sitting needs!”
“Beata was AMAZING! This was my first time booking services on Rover and she truly relieved so much of my anxiety! She’s very responsive, attentive, and caring. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter to check in on my pup while I was away. Thanks again for your help!”

“Jennifer is fantastic! She was the first time we ever left the two dogs with anyone besides family. After her first visit and update I was able to enjoy the entire vacay. The dogs were beyond loved the week Jen took care off them. We will definitely use Jen anytime we need doggie sitting. Thank you again Jen for everything! 😘”

“Eddy was extremely reliable. He spent a minimum of 30 min for each drop in visit and most of the time even longer of a stay. He kept us informed and viewing our puppies through photos. Excellent provider!”

About: I have experience caring for a wide variety of animals including dogs, cats, reptiles, and other furry friends. I’m comfortable with different personalities, routines, and care needs. I’m very patient, attentive, and always make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I work full time as a healthcare professional during the week, which has made me extremely responsible, detail oriented, and trustworthy. I understand how important it is to follow instructions carefully and provide dependable care. I’m available for pet sitting during evenings, nights, and weekends, and I’m happy to accommodate your pet’s routine whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, medications, playtime, or extra cuddles. “Kayla did a good job caring for our pets while we were away. She provided updates, pictures, and notes, which we appreciated and found helpful for peace of mind. Overall, a great experience and we appreciate her help.”

About: I’ve had a dog my whole life, so caring for them comes very natural to me. I also often dog sit for family and friends, where I work with dogs of all different personalities + sizes, helping with things like walks, feeding, and keeping them company while they’re owners are away. On top of that, I volunteered at an animal shelter for most high school. I’m currently home for the summer from college on the other coast, only working a part-time job so I have a ton of free time on my hands. I’m available basically whenever and can adjust to your pet’s schedule, whether that’s early mornings, afternoons, evenings, or even last minute requests. I’ve been taking care of my own dog my whole life, which includes daily walks, feeding him on a consistent schedule with his specific food, brushing out his fur, playing with him both inside and outside, and keeping him company when he’s relaxing. Through this, I’ve learned how important routine, attention, and care are in keeping a pet happy and healthy.
“Maria went above and beyond. It is always hard to have someone you don’t know care for your fur baby but meeting her put me at ease. She took great care of Jackson. She even rinsed his bowl. I couldn’t be happier. I will definitely look to book her again if needed.”

“Brandy has helped me a couple times now and the dogs love her! Always on time, takes great pictures, and keeps me updated while making sure they always have water in their bowls since I work long shifts! 10/10 recommend brandy!”

“Lea did an amazing job dropping in at our apartment to tend to our cat, Michienzo. She was incredibly accommodating, and followed specific instructions perfectly. Will definitely book with Lea again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Estero
Thank you so much for everything! We truly appreciate the wonderful care and attention you gave. Our cats really enjoyed spending time with you, and it gave us great peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The next time we go away, we will definitely be reaching out to you again. Thank you for all that you did!

Lily was awesome. She visited with my 35 lb dog, Cooper three times a day (feed, water, and 30 minute walk) and gave him a ‘report card’, detailing pee, poop, walk details and other important information. I was pleased by her devotion to making him comfortable.
Catherine is a true GEM! She is highly intelligent, caring and loves dogs 🐾 She was extremely accommodating to us and took excellent care of our two mini Aussies. Came on time, and not only walked them but stayed and played with them too by our pool. They love her. We will be using her for sure in the future!

We booked Cheryl for drop in visits for our three cats while my wife and I were out of town, couldn’t have been more amazing! Cheryl gave our squeamish kitty the medication she needed without any issues, and provided us with over a dozen pictures every drop on visit and even a video every day! Was awesome having the peace of mind knowing that such a great sitter was taking care of our kitties, would recommend Cheryl to anyone!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
