“Brenna took great care of Percy! She provided daily updates and photos, and she put up with elevator issues and gate code problems. We don’t have to worry when we’re away because we know Percy is in good hands.”

“Kat was amazing. She had open communication with us and would provide us with AMAZING Rover reports. Its like we were there. Padme has separation anxiety and she took the time and gave her time space to approach her without rushing. 10000000% would recommend!!!!!!!!”

About: I grew up with cats and dogs from 5 years old. I have two small dogs that get along well with other pets. I would love to help with your pet needs. I am available to care for your pets in the afternoon/evening most days with walks or just drop in to spend quality time with them. I have two friendly, small dogs to keep your fur baby company in my home. They can also have their own space if desired. I am also happy to care for your pets in your home.

“Meredith is a dream come true pet sitter! She crossed the causeway for us and was even a few minutes early! She is by far the best pet sitter we’re ever had. Our dog is a spirited, old chiweenie and is petrified of us leaving her so she’s very difficult. Meredith has so much empathy and compassion that our dog warmed up to her quickly. Meredith took the time to cut up treats and hide them in Punky’s treat mat. She sat with punky and comforted her when we left. Punky is very happy and content. It is as if we never left her!!! We are amazed at the quality of Meredith’s character and the care she gave our dog. She sent pics and kept us posted. She is a true dog’s best friend and now ours! Thank you, Meredith. We are able to do things knowing punky will be greatly loved.”

About: Hi there! I’m 27 years old and have spent the last 12 years caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I also have two dogs of my own, so I fully understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pets. I treat every animal with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. I’m experienced with: Daily walks and exercise routines In‑home sitting and overnight stays Drop‑ins for feeding, playtime, and check‑ins Puppies, seniors, and pets with special instructions Administering basic medications and following detailed care plans Whether your pet needs a long walk, a cozy overnight stay, or just a quick check‑in, my goal is to give you total peace of mind and give your pet a safe, fun, and comfortable experience every time. I work full‑time, but I make plenty of room in my schedule for pet care. I’m available every morning before 8am, mid‑day during my lunch break, and in the evenings and nights. I’m also available 7 days a week, so whether you need early walks, drop‑ins, or evening/overnight care, I can reliably fit your pet into my routine. When I care for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as familiar and comfortable as possible. I follow all of their normal schedules, including feeding times, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and bedtime habits, so everything feels consistent for them. I treat your home with respect by keeping things clean, washing bowls, tidying up after pets, and following any house rules you set. I give each pet plenty of attention based on their personality—whether that means playtime, cuddles, or calm companionship—and I’m comfortable handling special instructions like medications, senior care, puppy routines, or specific behavioral needs. I also send regular updates, photos, and quick check‑ins so you always know how your pet is doing. For overnight stays, I maintain their nighttime routine and make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for the entire time.
About: I have taken care of/walked dogs since I was 7. I’ve grown up with dogs and have never lived without one in my home. Many neighbors and friends trust me with their pets to either walk or care for them from either a day at a time or weeks. During the week I have sports and school but weekends are reserved to make sure the care of your pet(s) is received properly and carefully I am more than happy to play with any pet to ensure he/she is happy and healthy while I care for them. If you have special requests, I can make it a priority to fulfill them.

“We have used Jennifer a few times now for our kitties and she always does an excellent job. This past visit was during hurricane Ian which she was affected by. However, she still came and took great care of my cats while we were away. She even emptied our fridge since the power was lost and tidied some of the debris outside our home. She goes above and beyond not only for our pets, but for us as well! Thank you, Jennifer!”

About: Hello! I'm Nicole, and I'm 29 years old and living in my sunny hometown of Cape Coral with my 3 small fluffy dogs. I recently completed my masters degree at NYU with a thesis focusing on dog socialization. I've had pets since the day I was born - cats, dogs, fish, chickens, horses - you name it. I started before double digits caring for the neighbors pets when their owners were away on trips and still do to this day. I love all creatures that the world has given us, whether a lost neighborhood stray or the turtle on the side of the road (Yes, I am that person to stop and help it to the other side). Now taking my in-person pet sitting service digitally, I have learned to love and take care of pets in all aspects — from keeping them healthy and being by their side when sick or recovering. Everything from giving lots of love, keeping them well fed, being taken care of, and lots of playtime, walks, and especially cuddles — which are my specialty. My senior mini aussie has had double ACL repair surgery, and he was the bestest boy to learn how to care for a pet medically. I hope your pet can be a part of the love fest, too! I'm currently taking care of my parents' estate so I'm home 24/7. All my time is yours! Morning walks, evening walks, medicine schedules, drop-in visits, or socialization - anything your baby needs I can provide. At home, we have a fenced yard with doggy doors with full access to the outdoors. I always supervise their outdoor time since we have a pool. I can crate your dog any time if needed, or let them sleep in bed with me at night if they love that, too.
About: Hey! My name is Ellie and I am 22 years old. I have always had both dogs and cats all of my life. After moving out of my parents, I realized how much being surrounded by furry friends is a privilege! I now have four rescue cats of my own who are my children ;) I currently am a bartender wanting to get some more time out and about with your best friends!!! I’m currently working 4 days a week Saturday-Tuesday. Can range from a 12 hour day to a 6 hour day. I am willing to work with anyone to make schedules fit! Before/after walks or drop ins I am always available for.:) Your furry friends will be treated as my own whenever in my care. I love to entertain/play with your pets as much as they’re willing, it keeps me entertained also!
“Mary was wonderful and took great care of my girls! It set my mind at ease to know they were well cared for and could stay home instead of a loud kennel. Look forward to have Mary watch my dogs in the future.”

About: Since the age of seven, I have nurtured a passion for caring for animals, growing up in an environment surrounded by livestock and participating in animal shows. Additionally, I have gained experience as a veterinary technician assistant at an animal hospital. Incorporating pet care into my daily routine involves feeding, walking, and playing with clients pets. Weekly, I able to give quality time to ensure their well-being and happiness. Caring for pets in my home and clients' homes typically includes providing adequate food and fresh water, ensuring regular exercise through walks and playtime, maintaining cleanliness by tidying living areas, administering medications if needed, and offering companionship and attention to meet their emotional needs. For clients, I also tailor care to their specific instructions and routines, ensuring a consistent environment for the pets while their owners are away.
About: I recently moved back to Florida to care for my elderly grandmother for a while. I am a registered nurse with experience in Emergency medicine, Labor and Delivery, Med-Surg and a few other skills sprinkled in. So, why on earth would an RN want to watch animals? Simple; I love them and I have a lot of extra time on my hands. I have had pets my whole life and I farmed for over 10 years raising animals. I have never been without a dog and a cat. Currently, my grandmother has a senior companion service dog who was trained for 2 years before she got him. He is a very low energy lap dog for the most part, but loves fur friends. I have one of my own fur babies with me who is 1 year old and a very well behaved service-animal-level dog especially for a puppy, but will run and play till she drops! Care available in your own home or mine. I am no stranger to medical treatments for animals and medications. I can handle all of that if need be at an additional cost. I have treated many living things (not only as a nurse of course), but the farm life has shown me a wide variety of animal care. I do have some weight limits for dogs due to the fact that I need to be very careful about any large dogs around the elderly. It only takes a wiggly butt to bump into someone the wrong way... so for right now; the smaller the better. I am willing to walk them, but we do have a fenced yard on the lake. And I take to dogs to get the mail in the golf cart (dog hauler)! (in doggy car seats of course) I work from home, so it's pretty easy. The only time I am not available is when I travel back home. If I leave for errands, I am normally not gone for more than a few hours on the bigger errand days. I have a fenced yard on the lake. We are in a gated community with plenty of walking room. My two there dogs are bell-trained to go out. We go for rides in the golf cart (it is really just an oversized person and pet-hauler). I can crate them and would prefer that so they can have their "space" or "den" to retreat to with their blanket or dog pillow/bed with all the smells of home. I will do medications and treatments if needed (ie; leg wraps, ear wash, etc). I will bathe them as outlined in services. I will clip nails but ONLY if that is something they are accustomed to as I have first hand experience with breeds that cannot tolerate it.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
