I contacted Him while I was away and he was able to accommodate to my schedule to complete a few visits per week, sent photos, showed my cats some love and did a great job cleaning up! Highly recommend and will definitely have Dibakar as my go-to!”

“This was my first time using a Rover sitter for my boys, and Arlene was absolutely amazing. My cat Tybalt never goes to anyone he doesn’t know, yet he was in her lap right away. I couldn’t believe it! Arlene went above and beyond my expectations. She was extremely communicative, left our home in perfect order, and sent wonderful photos of my precious boys. I felt completely comfortable leaving them in her care. I can’t recommend her enough and will definitely be booking with her again.”

About: I have been a pet owner for over 20 years. Through the years I have fostered, rescued and dog sat many furry friends. I have taken many training courses and worked with a number of local experts. I have cared for many seniors with aging issues and my current furry kid is a special needs dog (mostly blind, missing one eye). I have recently become a Certified Canine Massage Therapist and practice regularly. I am also a Canine first Aid instructor (and people CPR instructor), so your fur baby is in great hands! I work full time, but I work from home 3 days a week. This allows me to take regularly scheduled breaks for heading outside for a quick walk, play or interaction. My daughter and I live in the house (a 16 year old whiz with doggos!) and she spends most evenings interacting with our fur girl and loves entertaining the neighborhood dogs. My weekend availability is slightly less than weekday, but if the schedule fits I'm happy to assist! I'll keep my calendar updated. My fur girl loves to play and discover new dogs (as long as your dog does not have an aggressive nature), and my boy dog just does his own thing. We have a fully fenced in back yard (6ft fence). That's great for those that could be jumpers! Lots of access to local parks and I LOVE walking - I walk all the time and would love to bring a doggo along with me for lots of exercise. Your dog would have full range of my house and we invite doggos up on the furniture for cuddle time (or respect your wishes for keeping them in your routine of staying off furniture) - lots of comfy dog beds in most rooms!
“Elizabeth is soo amazing! Roo was so happy when he saw her and her energy is everything! She agreed to a meet and greet with my last minute request and did so well the next day! We are so happy that we found Liz 😊”

About: My journey with my own dog sets me apart. We adopted my short leg Border Collie in Turkey from a shelter after she was found injured on the streets with severe trauma. Through immense patience and love, we helped her heal physically and emotionally. This experience has made me incredibly understanding, especially with dogs who might be anxious, shy, or need extra time to feel safe. Additionally, spending a lot of time with my family's and friend’s senior dogs has given me a huge soft spot for older pets. I know they require a special kind of gentle, attentive care. I also absolutely love the boundless energy of puppies! My full-time availability allows me to provide the frequent potty breaks, structure, and engaging playtime that young dogs need to thrive. Since I am currently dedicating my time fully to pet care, I have a completely flexible, full-time schedule. Pet care doesn't just fit into my routine; it is my routine! I am available on weekdays, weekends, and even for last-minute requests. This means your pet will rarely be left alone. Whether they need a mid-day walk, frequent puppy potty breaks, or constant companionship during boarding, I can easily adapt to their specific timetable and daily needs. For boarding, I live in a secure, pet-friendly apartment building in downtown Oshawa. Your pet will be supervised closely and will have the friendly, safe company of my playful short leg Border Collie and sweet Calico cat. I maintain a clean, hazard-free space. When providing drop-in visits or walks at your home, I am highly respectful of your space and privacy, always ensuring your home is locked and secure. Safety is my top priority! I always keep dogs on-leash outdoors, closely monitor their body language, and send you daily photo updates so you always have peace of mind.
“I recently had the pleasure of entrusting my beloved pup to Lada's care, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! Lada went above and beyond to ensure my dog felt comfortable and secure. She provided regular updates with photos and videos, which gave me peace of mind knowing my fur baby was in good spirits. It was evident that Lada genuinely enjoys spending time with dogs and treated mine as if they were their own. Communication with Lada was prompt and efficient. She was always open to any special requests or instructions I had, which further demonstrated her dedication to providing personalized care. I highly recommend Lada to anyone in need of a reliable and loving pet sitter. I will certainly be booking her services again in the future. Thank you!”

“Nicki was a fabulous cat sitter for our two boys! She left detailed notes, was sure to interact with them, give them treats and even went the extra mile to keep the floors etc. tidy while we were away. Each day we received very detailed notes and several adorable photos of our kitties! We look forward to having Nicki care for our pets and home in the future.”

“Erica was amazing with our two nervous pups, they warmed up to her very quickly! She was very communicative each visit, and took great photos of the dogs while she was here :) Thanks again, Erica!”

“Jackie was a wonderful cat sitter for my 2 babies last week. She offered to come for a meet and greet and was very caring and responsive while I was away. We will definitely be booking her again!”

“Faye did a fantastic job caring for our 15 year old tabby, Texas. She sent good updates, pictures and videos after each visit. If I reached out with a question, or any need regarding Texas’ care, Faye responded very quickly. I would definitely use Faye’s services again. She is friendly, caring, and professional. Thank you, Faye!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 15 years, including my own two pups with very different needs. I have hands-on experience supporting dogs through medical conditions, including helping my first dog through cancer treatment and post-surgery care. I’m also comfortable administering medications and following detailed care instructions from vets. I have extensive experience with senior dogs, providing the patience, support, and comfort they need. On the other end of the spectrum, my current dog is high-energy and requires a lot of mental and physical stimulation, so I’m well-versed in creating enriching activities and structured routines. Additionally, I have experience with reactive and fear-reactive dogs, including reactivity toward fast-moving objects, children, and other dogs. I understand how to approach these situations calmly and safely to keep everyone comfortable. I’m also familiar with certain e-collars and am open to discussing their use with pet parents if needed. My top priority is always to ensure that your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine! I work from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which gives me flexibility for drop-in visits and walks. On those days, I’m available early mornings (before 8 a.m.), during my lunch break (12–2 p.m.), and after 4 p.m. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, I offer evening walks. Weekends vary depending on my schedule, but I keep my calendar up to date so you’ll always know when I’m available. I’m happy to accommodate different schedules whenever possible! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. During drop-in visits, I follow your routine closely—whether that’s feeding, playing, giving medication, or providing potty breaks—so your pet feels secure and cared for in their own space. For walks, I always use secure leashes or harnesses, avoid unsafe areas, and keep a close eye on your dog’s behavior and energy. I’m also experienced with reactive dogs and know how to create calm, positive walking experiences. I treat your home and your pet with respect, as if they were my own.
About: I got my first cat when I was 10, and I’ve taken care of cats ever since. I currently have 3 kitties that are 13, 8, and 3. My sister also has a 6 year old Australian Shepherd who I have helped care for since he was a puppy. We have been on many hike adventures, had too many slumber parties to count, and I’ve even picked him up and cared for him post surgery. I am an animal lover, kind person, and can follow instruction. I genuinely care about animals and have deep respect for the bond one has with their beloved pet. I’m currently working part time, usually in the mornings. I can check in on your animals any day , but can only accept a pet visit that fits around my work schedule. I will try my best to match with the schedule you are looking for. I will follow all instruction I am given to care for your pet in your home and will lead with respect, attention to detail, and the upmost care.
“Jenna is amazing.. She comes twice a week for a drop in visit with our pup.. I'm so surprised how quick Coco got comfortable and allowed her to put the leashe on him and go out with her, he usually takes his time to trust people. She is always on time and sends pictures and updates about him. Thank you Jenna for taking such good care of our pup...”

“My puppy Bella has recurring visits with Russell and we both love it. I love the Rover Report Card with all the details and pictures. It is like I am there! Bella seems to enjoy her break times with Russell. He accomodates last minute instructions and is very attentive to her!!!”

Samantha was absolutely amazing with our two Bengals. This was our first time leaving our cats and we were nervous because they love us but don't overly take to visitors, but they warmed right up to her. She left lovely notes everyday with how our kitties were doing and how the visit went, along with multiple pictures. We will definitely be booking with Samantha in the future if we need a cat sitter again :)

Faye was absolutely incredible, and consider ourselves blessed to have found her. Our kitties Pickles and Ozzy took to her immediately and looked so good upon return from our 2-week vacation. We would have Faye again in a heartbeat, and look forward to having her care for our cats again in the future. Five stars, easily earned.

Nicki is amazing, and we will definitely be booking with her again in future! Nicki was very friendly and professional during our meet and greet, and our cat immediately warmed up to her. Communication was amazing throughout our time away from home, Nicki followed instructions perfectly, and we really appreciated the detailed updates and pictures following each drop in visit. It was such a relief to know our kitty was being so well looked after while we were away!! Thank you, Nicki!!

Julia was amazing with my two babies, autumn and winter. Autumn, who’s usually very shy around strangers, came out of her shell with Julia and was fairly comfortable with her. This was a big win for us. I was nervous leaving my house and kids with a stranger but Julia was not only professional but also kept an eye out for anything amiss with the house. Autumn and Winter were happy and active with her. I would totally recommend Julia to anyone looking for personalised care for their fur babies.

Kiana was great with my two cats. She took great care of them while we were away for 2 weeks and I cannot recommend her enough. Her prompt communication and daily updates were very much appreciated. Thank you so much Kiana for putting us at ease while we were away. Until next time 😊

I naturally liked Natasha right from the start and my shy dogs were automatically drawn to her. She was very reliable, responsible, understood my concerns, and followed instructions perfectly. I was able to relax knowing my dogs were well taken care of and secure. Finding Natasha was such a blessing!

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Oshawa choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
