About: With over 15 years of hands-on experience working with animals, I bring a calm, confident, and knowledgeable approach to every pet in my care. My background includes professional dog handling, dog training, and dog walking for a company, giving me experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. In addition to dogs, I have extensive experience caring for cats, reptiles, and other small furry animals. I’m comfortable meeting a wide range of care needs, including feeding routines, enrichment, habitat maintenance, and administering medications when required. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priority. I am trained in dog CPR and prioritize safety, structure, and positive reinforcement in every interaction. Whether your pet needs a reliable walker, patient caregiver, or someone who understands behavior and individualized care, I tailor my services to fit their unique needs. Animals aren’t just a job for me — they’re my passion. I genuinely love building trust, providing enrichment, and making sure every pet feels comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I offer flexible, around-the-clock availability to meet your pet care needs. Whether you need early morning walks, midday drop-ins, evening visits, overnight care, or last-minute bookings, I’m happy to accommodate a schedule that works best for you and your pet. I understand that every household runs differently, and pets don’t always stick to a 9–5 routine. That’s why I make myself available all hours of the day, including weekends and holidays, to provide consistent, reliable care when you need it most. Your pet’s routine, comfort, and well-being remain my priority, no matter the time. Safety, trust, and comfort are my top priorities when caring for pets in both my home and my client’s home. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, and any medical or behavioral needs to ensure consistency and reduce stress. I maintain a clean, calm, and pet-safe environment, closely supervise interactions, and follow feeding, exercise, and medication instructions exactly as provided. In a client’s home, I respect your space while keeping your pet’s routine as normal as possible — including walks, playtime, enrichment, and quiet rest. In my home, pets are treated like family, with a secure environment, structured care, and plenty of attention. I also monitor for any changes in behavior or health and communicate updates so you always feel confident and informed while you’re away.

About: My love for dogs began at a young age, and throughout my life I have naturally taken on the responsibility of caring for them. From daily walks and feeding to grooming, hydration, and training, caring for dogs has always been something I genuinely enjoy. For many years, friends, family, and neighbours have trusted me to care for their pets while they are away, giving me valuable hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and energy levels. I have a natural ability to build strong relationships with dogs and often incorporate training into my interactions, including heel work, recall, leash manners, and fun tricks that help strengthen the bond between dogs and their owners. My goal is to provide reliable, compassionate, and professional care that gives pet owners peace of mind. I am available Monday through Friday for dog walking services, as well as 2–3 drop-in visits between 5:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. each weekday. I’m currently working part time and am available Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. for 1-hour dog walks or drop-in visits, including potty breaks, feeding, hydration, companionship, and a 15-minute walk. To ensure the comfort and well-being of my own three cats, I do not offer boarding services for dogs or cats in my home. Instead, I provide personalized in-home care through 1–3 daily visits, allowing your pets to remain comfortable and relaxed in their familiar environment. For dogs who enjoy a little extra adventure, I have a fully insured and safety-equipped 2003 Honda Civic with dog seatbelt restraints. With your permission, I can take your pup on enriching walks and hikes along the beautiful trails at Emily Provincial Park, providing both exercise and mental stimulation while keeping safety my top priority.

Vanessa was awesome! She cared for our cat Luna while we were away, providing lots of updates & photos each visit. We had a last minute change to our pet care and Vanessa was able and willing to help us out with only a few days notice. We really appreciated her stepping up to help us and for being so loving to our sweet Luna. Highly recommend! We will definitely book Vanessa again in the future :)

About: I am an emergency medical responder, so I am very comfortable in high-energy environments, and appreciate the mental clarity and peace that only cuddles with fluffy friends can bring. I helped train all of my family's dogs growing up (German-Sheppard, Sheepadoodle, and Rottweiler-mix), and I've helped take care of my housemate's cat for the past year (he is the best partner for any game-night, as long as he gets his box!). I am studying for the MCAT (the exam required for medical school admission), while working as an Event Medic. As such, my schedule is really flexible. I can't wait to bring your doggo(s) out for a fun walk and give lots of cuddles during my study breaks! I will engage in regular exercise sessions and playtime activities based on the pet's needs and preferences. I will follow your feeding schedule, and make sure there is always fresh water available. I will happily offer companionship and attention to help alleviate any anxiety or loneliness. I am comfortable administering medications as directed by the owners, and keeping an eye on their health while I am looking after them. I will familiarize myself with emergency protocols, and maintain open communication with the pet owners, providing updated on their pet's wellbeing, activities, and any notable incidents or changes in their behaviour.

Absolutely amazing! Will definitely book with Emily again. Had her look after my 2 kittens while I was out of town for 4 days. She stopped in twice a day to feed, water and play with them, and even clean their litter box! She took the initiative to vacuum up a mess the kitties had made from kicking litter everywhere. She kept me up to date with an update message and pictures each visit. I had also entrusted her with a key and she left it back in the mailbox. All around extremely pleased with mine and my kitties' experiences and would be more than comfortable leaving them with her again!

About: I'm not as new to professional pet caring now, but I'm constantly learning and I have respect and love for animals. I have cared for pet dog and cat from puppy to old age and I am always learning from experts on how to handle most situations that will arise. I am able to be extremely active and engaging with animals to ensure they are properly stimulated and socialized. I take my job very seriously as a guardian of a pet myself I know that they are as much family as pet. I will always take special care to listen to a pet's guardian's advice on how to care for their pet so that they are properly taken care of as they deserve and expect to be treated. I’m currently self employed and mainly work at night when my dogs are asleep. During the day I am free to look after not only my dogs but also other people’s pets as well. When I’m not working I’m often taking care of my dog’s needs. I follow instructions from pet owners and ask about their pet to find out what kind of care they need. Every dog has its own personality and needs and I do the best to treat them as their owner would treat them so their stay is as comfortable as possible.

About: Name: Chelsy Age: 34 I absolutely adore animals of all species. If you met someone that knows me the first thing they’ll tell is I’m a sucker for animals. Have you seen Punch the Monkey on TikTok? Yeah he consumes my mind more than I’d like to admit. I have specific long term experience with cats and dogs. I have cats, a dog, and have had a hamster and bird myself, all of different personalities but very well loved and cared for (which people pride us on often). I want you to feel at ease and comfortable leaving your fur babies with me- knowing their best interest, needs, and health always come first! I have experience with young, senior, and special needs animals. I want to broaden my passion and work to build strong relationships with every fur baby I can! My soul dog Benny passed away two years ago and I would love to fill my heart with other pets to care for. I currently work full-time with the school board as an educational assistant. My wife owns her own business and is home periodically throughout the day. We can provide care periodically throughout the day, full time evening and nights, and weekends. With the most amount of love! I follow clients care instructions because after all they know their pets best. As much as I want and love to give animals love, I also respect their need to warm up to me. I always give them space and time to learn me and become comfortable.

About: Use code JOANW91601, to get a 20$ discount on your first Rover booking. I am brand new to Rover! I’m a retired animal lover who has owned dogs all my life, including both small and large breeds such as Shih Tzus, Boxers, and Labradors. Since retiring, I’ve realized how much I miss having dogs, and caring for other people’s dogs has been the perfect solution, and I absolutely love it. My home is quiet, calm, and perfect for dogs. I live in a house with a large fenced backyard where dogs can safely play, run, and enjoy lots of fresh air. Why Owners Choose Me ✔ Retired and home most of the day ✔ Large fenced backyard for safe playtime ✔ Lifelong dog owner with experience with many breeds ✔ Comfortable caring for large dogs and small dogs ✔ Experience with medication and special care needs ✔ Calm, quiet home environment Over the years I have also become the designated dog sitter for my family’s “grand-dogs.” These include a wide variety of breeds such as: • Pomeranian • Boston Terrier • Olde English Bulldogge • Bullmastiff • American Bulldog • Dogue de Bordeaux Because of this, I’m very comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I also have experience with: • Puppies • Senior dogs • Dogs that require special care or medication. Because I am retired, I am home most of the time, which means your dog will receive plenty of attention, exercise, supervision, and companionship. I enjoy the time together as much as your dog. 😊 Dogs staying with me will enjoy a calm, loving environment where they will be treated like part of the family. I don’t take dogs out for neighbourhood walks (my own feet betray me from walking long distances 😉), but I make sure they get lots of exercise and playtime in my large (and safe) fenced backyard. I spend time outside with them playing fetch, tossing balls, and keeping them active. My goal is always to make sure dogs feel safe, relaxed, and loved while you are away.
