Zoe was such a lifesaver popping in to let our pups out and feed them. She communicated well and we felt very safe with her in the house and with the dogs. Could not recommend her anymore!

Gretel is a real angel! We had to go on unexpected trip for more than two weeks and we were super nervous how to take care of our little son😻(cat). We found Gretel in Rover with great reviews and booked drop in visits for all those days. I can’t express how lucky we are to find her! She went above and beyond to make sure he’s doing well. Gretel always spent more time and some times even more visits within a day to make sure he’s happy. Even for urgent visits she was there in a couple of minutes! Thank you so much for everything Gretel! I strongly recommend her and will definitely book more visits with her in future!

Kylie was wonderful to work with—quick to respond, flexible, and genuinely attentive. I chose her because of her experience with rabbits; our neighbour usually cares for our cats when we’re away, but bunnies need a different kind of attention. When I learned that Kylie also has experience with animals who struggle with social or trust issues, I asked her to spend some extra time with one of our cats as well. We recently lost a family member, and their cat is still adjusting and not blending smoothly with ours. Kylie communicated beautifully throughout, and it was such a relief to return home to healthy, happy bunnies and a spotless habitat.

About: My love for dogs began at a young age, and throughout my life I have naturally taken on the responsibility of caring for them. From daily walks and feeding to grooming, hydration, and training, caring for dogs has always been something I genuinely enjoy. For many years, friends, family, and neighbours have trusted me to care for their pets while they are away, giving me valuable hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and energy levels. I have a natural ability to build strong relationships with dogs and often incorporate training into my interactions, including heel work, recall, leash manners, and fun tricks that help strengthen the bond between dogs and their owners. My goal is to provide reliable, compassionate, and professional care that gives pet owners peace of mind. I am available Monday through Friday for dog walking services, as well as 2–3 drop-in visits between 5:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. each weekday. I’m currently working part time and am available Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. for 1-hour dog walks or drop-in visits, including potty breaks, feeding, hydration, companionship, and a 15-minute walk. To ensure the comfort and well-being of my own three cats, I do not offer boarding services for dogs or cats in my home. Instead, I provide personalized in-home care through 1–3 daily visits, allowing your pets to remain comfortable and relaxed in their familiar environment. For dogs who enjoy a little extra adventure, I have a fully insured and safety-equipped 2003 Honda Civic with dog seatbelt restraints. With your permission, I can take your pup on enriching walks and hikes along the beautiful trails at Emily Provincial Park, providing both exercise and mental stimulation while keeping safety my top priority.

About: I’ve had pets in my home all of my life, but have 3 of my own pets currently - a dog, a cat, and a ball python. I’ve trained both my dog and cat, and have helped family members with training puppies in the past and currently. I’ve done drop in visits for many friends, family, and neighbours over the years. I have experience administering both oral and topical medications for pets, and have always paid attention to every small instruction provided by vets. Knowing how much my pets mean to me, I’m more than happy to follow and respect any pet owners preferences and instructions. I take the time to get to know each pet individually, as I know and respect that they all have different needs, preferences, and boundaries. I work full time Monday-Friday 8:30-5:30, but am available before and after work and on most weekends! On Tuesdays, I’m available until 2pm, and after 9:30pm. I have a black lab, cane corso mix, who just turned 4 years old, as well as a 3 year old cat. I have a fenced in yard, and lots of space behind my house for dogs to run freely if they are trained off-leash, but can always walk them with a leash as well. For visits to the pet owners home, any instructions will be followed closely. I am an honest, diligent person, and am more than happy to meet pet owners prior to taking on any job.

About: hiii, I’m Devin! (I’m new to Rover.com) I have (ongoing) experience volunteering at multiple humane societies, volunteering at an animal sanctuary, pet sitting, and I’m going into a Veterinary Technician program next year! I spend lots of my time caring for, playing with and loving animals with different personalities, needs, and comfort levels. Patience, consistency, and making animals feel safe and comfortable is very important. Volunteering and spending my time with animals reinforces how important it is to meet the needs of every specific individual animal. Im comfortable following specialized care and medical instructions carefully and paying close attention to changes in behaviour or needs. I’ve given prescribed medication to animals in many ways, many times so I’m 100% okay and accommodating to special care animals. I’m especially good with shy, anxious, or sensitive animals and try to create a calm, low-stress environment for them. I read, watch and learn lots about animals everyday. I have many certifications around animals as well; like the ‘Fear Free’ certification for example. What sets me apart is my experience and also that I genuinely care about animals as individuals and that I take the time to understand their individual personalities, routines, and boundaries rather than treating care as “just a job”. This is something I’m very passionate about. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and being attentive to their needs. I’m able to dedicate time throughout the day for walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, medication if needed, and making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for. I’m someone who pays close attention to routines and details, so I understand the importance of consistency for animals. Whether a pet is energetic and playful or more shy and relaxed, I’m patient and adapt to what helps them feel safest and happiest. When caring for pets, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent, comfortable, and low-stress as possible. In a client’s home, I respect the pet’s normal schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, medication, bathroom breaks, and rest so they can feel secure in their familiar environment. I pay close attention to behavior, body language, and energy levels to make sure pets are comfortable and getting the care they need. I’m patient with shy or anxious animals and make sure they have space, attention, and calm interaction at their own pace. Safety and cleanliness are also important to me, and I make sure pets have a secure environment, fresh water, and plenty of attention and companionship while their owner is away.

About: I unfortunately have no experience other than I’ve had my cat for over a year now and my puppy for 7 months. I love them with all my heart. I have also been around dogs since the day I was born (all different breeds and ages). I work from home for my step dads business (Kodiak Metal Buildings) so this works perfectly as I need a little more money and have so much love for animals. I have a fenced in lawn and a 11 month golden retriever pup that loves every other animal! He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and also volunteered for a month at a dog shelter in Athens, Greece, where I worked with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I grew up with a loving Golden Retriever since I was 5 years old and regularly helped care for and walk neighbors’ dogs as well. I’m comfortable handling everything from small puppies to dogs over 100 pounds, including dogs with anxiety who need extra patience and trust-building. I’ve also trained both puppies and older dogs in basic skills like heel, roll over, and better leash manners. I genuinely love being around dogs and always aim to make them feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I’m currently working a part time serving job which has flexible hours. I’m living at my cottage for the summer and have a bunch of free time throughout the week and weekends. If your dog is staying with me, I am at my cottage with a large lakefront and space to run around and play. If I am coming to your house, I will respect your rules. Regardless of the service I am giving, I will always give your dog the most attention, patients, and love.

Vanessa took excellent care of our cat Meeko while we were away! She went above and beyond to make sure that Meeko had everything she needed, and was very gentle and patient with her; our cat is quite shy, but Vanessa managed to bring her out of her shell quickly, which is an impressive feat! Vanessa was friendly, polite, and communicative all the way through, and we came home to a very healthy and happy kitty! We will definitely be inviting her back next time we go away - highly recommend.
