“We were very pleased with Victoria caring for our 3 dogs. Victoria came for a brief visit to meet them prior to her visit which was greatly appreciated. We were very relieved after meeting her knowing that our family would be well cared for. The dogs reacted immediately to her friendly and calm manner, which showed us that they would be comfortable with her. She was easy to work with and responded to our request immediately on Rover. We would definitely recommend Victoria to others looking for a pet sitter!”

About: Caring for animals has been a big part of my life for years. I have experience with cats, dogs, and small animals, and I always strive to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re in my care. ● I previously volunteered/worked at a local animal shelter, where I primarily cared for cats, but also walked dogs and looked after smaller animals. ● I have dog-sitting experience, including overnight stays while caring for other people’s dogs. ● I regularly walk my neighbour’s dog from time to time. He’s a big boy and an absolute love bug! ● I previously completed a co-op placement at Ruff Cuts, where I gained hands-on experience with basic pet grooming: ○ Cat nail trimming: $10 per cat (additional charge) ○ Dog bathing: $15 per dog (additional charge) ● I have experience helping dogs who pull on their leash and know how to work with them toward calmer, more comfortable walks. ● Before caring for your pet, I’ll ask about their routine, personality, quirks, preferences, and any special instructions you have. Every furry family member is different, and I want to make sure I care for them the way you would. ● Getting to know your pet and making sure they’re happy, safe, and comfortable is my priority (aside from coming home to my own three spoiled boys 😂). And yes — I have three cats of my own. They’re my special boys. ♡ 🐈🐈🐈 Your pets aren’t just a job to me — they’re someone’s family. I’ll treat them with the same patience, respect, and care I’d want for my own. 🐾♡ My availability for pet care is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Unfortunately, I’m not available for weekend bookings due to my limited availability. I also have three cats of my own, so their routine is an important part of my day. ♡ I feed them their scheduled meal at 5:00 PM every day, with small portions of dry food available throughout the day. Because of this, I’m able to dedicate my daytime hours to caring for your furry family members while still maintaining a consistent routine for my own cats. 🐾 Your pet’s routine matters to me, too, so I’ll always do my best to follow their usual feeding, walking, medication, playtime, and care schedule while they’re in my care. ♡ I’m unable to host pets in my own home because I have three cats of my own. However, I’m more than happy to provide pet care in the comfort and familiarity of your pet’s own home. I believe pets are often most comfortable in their own environment, surrounded by their familiar smells, toys, beds, and routines. My goal is to keep their day as normal and stress-free as possible while you’re away. ♡ Depending on your pet’s needs, I can help with: ● Walks and exercise ● Litter-box cleaning ● Feeding and fresh water ● Playtime and enrichment ● Brushing and basic grooming ● Dog bathing ● Plenty of attention, patience, and companionship ● Bringing my own waste bags when needed I’ll also follow any instructions you provide and treat your home and your pets with the same respect and care I’d expect for my own. Their safety, comfort, and happiness are always my priority. 🐾♡
“Vanessa, was truly amazing! She was extremely diligent in responding and helping me out in a last minute booking, was very impressed with her constant updates and photos. Was a pleasure to work with! Highly recommend!!! Thank you again Vanessa for all your help!!”

“We just got our sweet Regina a little over a week ago, and my husband and I had plans to go camping this past weekend. I went on Rover to see if anyone came up, and I found Sydney. I messaged her, asking if she would be interested in setting up a time to meet her, and we did. She came over, Regina seemed to like her, and we decided to give it a go. For the first time of leaving our cat behind, I was very happy with how Sydney handled everything. Checked in each time she came over to check on her, sent pictures, made sure she ate, cleaned the litter box, followed all the instructions I had left, everything went perfect. Sydney is really sweet, nice, and her love of animals is apparent. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter and will rebook her myself in the future :)”

“Having Jessica look after Hallie while my husband and I were away gave us some much-needed peace of mind. Jessica sent pictures every day and she was very understanding when we had to suddenly cut our trip short. I will definitely book with Jessica again in the future!”

About: I'm not as new to professional pet caring now, but I'm constantly learning and I have respect and love for animals. I have cared for pet dog and cat from puppy to old age and I am always learning from experts on how to handle most situations that will arise. I am able to be extremely active and engaging with animals to ensure they are properly stimulated and socialized. I take my job very seriously as a guardian of a pet myself I know that they are as much family as pet. I will always take special care to listen to a pet's guardian's advice on how to care for their pet so that they are properly taken care of as they deserve and expect to be treated. I’m currently self employed and mainly work at night when my dogs are asleep. During the day I am free to look after not only my dogs but also other people’s pets as well. When I’m not working I’m often taking care of my dog’s needs. I follow instructions from pet owners and ask about their pet to find out what kind of care they need. Every dog has its own personality and needs and I do the best to treat them as their owner would treat them so their stay is as comfortable as possible.
About: I’ve cared for my own pets as well as dogs belonging to family and friends, giving me experience with a variety of breeds, personalities, and energy levels. I’m comfortable with feeding, refreshing water, walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, and making sure every pet gets plenty of love, attention, and companionship. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, cuddling on the couch, or simply having someone by their side, I’ll provide personalized care based on their individual needs and personality. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I’ll treat them like one of my own and keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can relax knowing they’re in caring and reliable hands. I’m currently on summer break from university, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability for pet sitting, drop-in visits, and walks. Whether you need care during the week, on weekends, or even on short notice, I’d be happy to work with your schedule whenever possible. When caring for pets in your home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed in their familiar environment. I carefully follow your pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions you provide, so their day stays as normal as possible. I work full time Monday to Friday, but my evenings and weekends are usually free. I have occasionally have online activities, but your pet will always have priority. I have a large yard for potty breaks, and live on a very quiet road for walks. Our house is large enough for playtime sessions.
About: I completed my first pet sitting booking (10 days) and I was very successful! Not only were the cat and dog happy but the owner came home right after a major snowstorm to mostly shovelled driveway. My clients referred me to a friend! I intend to complete a pet first aid course in the spring. References upon request. Areas: Guelph, Hamilton, Ajax, Port Perry, Oshawa , Whitby, Vancouver Tri-city area, Peterborough, Cottage Country and more. I work from home so all I need is an internet connection! I am not glued to a desk and I like to situate myself where I can keep an eye out and be by the back door. Hour lunch break is playtime and before and after work a walk. I believe in providing for the pet’s normal routine. I keep my belongings and food out of reach and am ready for behaviours that might come up with their family away. Tummy rubs and playtime ease stress. I maintain the litter box daily so it doesn’t get out of hand. I have education in gerontology and earth science. I love older pets and will care for your plants too.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Kawartha Lakes
Victoria cared for our senior cat, who needs medication twice a day. She followed directions well, including troubleshooting when kitty wasn't cooperating, and communicated clearly and thoroughly in our absence. She is kind, friendly, and showed great care. She was flexible and generous during several cancellations on my end before this trip. We will absolutely call on Victoria again, and highly recommend her!

Having Jessica look after Hallie while my husband and I were away gave us some much-needed peace of mind. Jessica sent pictures every day and she was very understanding when we had to suddenly cut our trip short. I will definitely book with Jessica again in the future!

Kylie was wonderful to work with—quick to respond, flexible, and genuinely attentive. I chose her because of her experience with rabbits; our neighbour usually cares for our cats when we’re away, but bunnies need a different kind of attention. When I learned that Kylie also has experience with animals who struggle with social or trust issues, I asked her to spend some extra time with one of our cats as well. We recently lost a family member, and their cat is still adjusting and not blending smoothly with ours. Kylie communicated beautifully throughout, and it was such a relief to return home to healthy, happy bunnies and a spotless habitat.
