“Logan was very quick and easy to communicate with. Was a nice companion for my dog Rudy to get to know and now has another reliable human that will take him on his daily need of long walks or a swim when it's hot.”

About: I recently moved from Brazil to Peterborough and have always had a deep love for animals. Back in Brazil, I volunteered at local animal shelters, gaining valuable experience caring for both cats and dogs. Now, I continue my volunteer work at the Peterborough Humane Society, helping ensure pets are happy and well cared for. I’m naturally more of a cat person, but I truly enjoy spending time with dogs as well. I’m patient, responsible, and committed to giving every pet the love and attention they deserve. I’m flexible and happy to work with your schedule! I’m generally available: Weekdays: mornings and afternoons Weekends: full day availability I can accommodate regular dog walks, drop-in visits, and overnight stays with prior notice. I love spending time with pets and can adjust my schedule to meet their needs. Your pet’s safety and well-being are my top priorities. I maintain a clean, comfortable, and loving environment for all animals in my care. I’m reliable, responsible, and committed to following your instructions closely, so you can feel confident that your furry friend is safe and happy while you’re away.
“Mason is an exceptional sitter! I entrusted my dogs and cat to his care, and he worked well with them. He was on time and kept communication open with me if there was going to be a timing issue. Followed instructions well. Considerate. I recommend his pet sitting services.”

About: Your furry friend's happiness is my top priority! With years of experience, I specialize in dog walking, puppy care, and dog and cat sitting. Allow me take your dog on their next adventure! I am currently in school, which leaves most of my days open. This allows me to be flexible with my time and prioritize your pup. Your dog's safety and well-being is extremely important to me. I ensure that each walk is tailored to your dog's needs, whether that's a leisurely stroll or a brisk jog. I provide water, treats, and plenty of love to keep your furry friend happy and healthy.
“Brooklyne looked after our two cats for a week, and she was excellent! From our first meet and greet to all of the updates and pictures along the way, she provided great care to our cats and allowed us to enjoy our time away. I recommend Brooklyne and will request her expertise in the future!”

About: With experience from working at Ren’s Pets and caring for my own dog since I was 12, I have a deep understanding of pet needs. I’m passionate about providing safe, attentive, and loving care for dogs of all breeds and sizes. My flexible schedule allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care. With mostly online classes and just one in-person class on Wednesdays, I’m available throughout the week to walk, play with, and care for pups whenever needed! I prioritize safety, trust, and a comfortable environment for every pet I care for. Whether in my home or a pet owner’s home, I ensure a clean, secure, and stress-free space. I follow owners’ instructions carefully, provide plenty of exercise and attention, and always use positive reinforcement. Pets in my care receive patience, love, and a routine that keeps them happy and relaxed.
About: Hi there! My name is Tera, I am a responsible young adult looking to spend time with some more critters! I have grown up with dogs my whole life and I have been looking after my clients/neighbors/friends/colleges animals for about 10 years. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and all breeds but I am not limited to just dogs. I have experience with cats, and even horses! I will go above and beyond to keep your pet healthy and happy during our time together :) I can't wait to meet them! In my free time I love exploring the outdoors and getting fresh air, as well as hanging out indoors and would love to share that experience with your pet! I understand each pet is different so I will do my very best to follow their individual and unique care routines! Whatever makes your pet more comfortable around me the better:)
About: I’ve had pets in my home all of my life, but have 3 of my own pets currently - a dog, a cat, and a ball python. I’ve trained both my dog and cat, and have helped family members with training puppies in the past and currently. I’ve done drop in visits for many friends, family, and neighbours over the years. I have experience administering both oral and topical medications for pets, and have always paid attention to every small instruction provided by vets. Knowing how much my pets mean to me, I’m more than happy to follow and respect any pet owners preferences and instructions. I take the time to get to know each pet individually, as I know and respect that they all have different needs, preferences, and boundaries. I work full time Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5:30, but am available before and after work and on most weekends and holidays. I’m quite flexible and will do what I can to make any appointment work! I have a black lab, cane corso mix, who just turned 4 years old, as well as a 3 year old cat. I have a fenced in yard, and lots of space behind my house for dogs to run freely if they are trained off-leash, but can always walk them with a leash as well. For visits to the pet owners home, any instructions will be followed closely. I am an honest, diligent person, and am more than happy to meet pet owners prior to taking on any job.

About: Thank you for reading over my page! I've grown up with dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, and fish. And I love all animals. I'm most familiar with poodles, chow chows, and frenchies, but love all the funny and lovable characteristics every individual dog or cat possesses. I also have extensive experience with reactive dog, and can assist those who need walks with low interaction, special needs, training, etc. I currently work part time as a Law Clerk. This is why I am able to provide almost constant care in your home, dog walks, and whatever else you may need for your furry family members. Looking to help care for your little loved ones, and can also offer some special needs such as medication administration. I am most interested in house/pet sitting over weekdays and weekends. I can also accommodate last minute demands. Dog walking/hiking, drop-ins. All are welcome! Can't wait to meet you! Because I work part time my schedule is generally fairly open, except for school drop off and pick up during the school season. If your furry friend needs constant, uninterrupted care, please let me know and I will advise whether that will be possible. Your pets are your family, and I understand that. When I am caring for your pet I will always treat them with the utmost care and love, making sure any special needs or wants are met 100% of the time.
About: I have enjoyed taking care of dogs and other pets from a young age. I like getting to know the unique qualities of each animal and enjoy providing an enriching environment full of activities for the active dog, or a quiet, calm space for the pets who take more time to settle in. Caring for, and socializing, puppies over a summer was one of the most memorable pet care times, as a family member was preparing to find homes for a litter. I'm currently off work for the summer and have lots of flexibility to care for your pets for overnight stays, walks, or drop in visits to your home. I have a fenced backyard and a park across the road with lots of walking trails around to accomodate all the needs or your furry friend. We do also have 1 friendly cat in the home.
“Vanessa was awesome! She cared for our cat Luna while we were away, providing lots of updates & photos each visit. We had a last minute change to our pet care and Vanessa was able and willing to help us out with only a few days notice. We really appreciated her stepping up to help us and for being so loving to our sweet Luna. Highly recommend! We will definitely book Vanessa again in the future :)”

“Kylie was extremely flexible with the plan. She was very caring and gentle with our dog. It was quite amazing how our dog went with her without hesitation. We would highly recommend Kylie to others.”

Mason was great during my second booking. Knowing that the cats were well-cared for when I was away took away the stress, and made travelling without them much easier. Mason showed up for visits on time, and made sure to confirm that a different time for one day was okay before I booked. He will be my go-to for cat sitting on Rover!

Lileigh was kind, personable and very reassuring recognizing my discomfort leaving my Cat "Oliver". I was provided comforting messages & photos.... this was my first time booking with Rover & will absolutely not hesitate to rebook in the future. Thank you so much!!

I can't recommend Maggie enough! She took wonderful care of our three cats, including one who needs daily medication and usually hides from new people. Maggie was so kind, attentive, and punctual for every visit. Her daily report cards and photos brought us so much joy and peace of mind while we were away. If you're looking for a reliable and loving pet sitter, Maggie is the best!"

Sienna was such an amazing sitter! My two kitties were super happy! She took a bunch of pictures and always let me know what she had done during the visit (play, feed, litter, etc). She was super easy to coordinate with as well! I would highly recommend her to anyone!!

There are 191 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Peterborough. About 85% of Peterborough sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Peterborough stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Peterborough choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
