About: I have enjoyed taking care of dogs and other pets from a young age. I like getting to know the unique qualities of each animal and enjoy providing an enriching environment full of activities for the active dog, or a quiet, calm space for the pets who take more time to settle in. Caring for, and socializing, puppies over a summer was one of the most memorable pet care times, as a family member was preparing to find homes for a litter. I'm currently off work for the summer and have lots of flexibility to care for your pets for overnight stays, walks, or drop in visits to your home. I have a fenced backyard and a park across the road with lots of walking trails around to accomodate all the needs or your furry friend. We do also have 1 friendly cat in the home.
“Rebecca is the best! So attentive and our little man loves her so much. We are lucky to have her to help take care of him and alleviate some stress through our busy working days.”

About: Your furry friend's happiness is my top priority! With years of experience, I specialize in dog walking, puppy care, and dog and cat sitting. Allow me take your dog on their next adventure! I am currently in school, which leaves most of my days open. This allows me to be flexible with my time and prioritize your pup. Your dog's safety and well-being is extremely important to me. I ensure that each walk is tailored to your dog's needs, whether that's a leisurely stroll or a brisk jog. I provide water, treats, and plenty of love to keep your furry friend happy and healthy.
“Zoe was awesome with accommodating my pupper at last minute. She was very easy to communicate with, and she followed all of our requests but most importantly took great care of my Bodie! I will definitely be reaching back out to Zoe for help in the future!”

About: hiii, I’m Devin! (I’m new to Rover) I have (ongoing) experience volunteering at multiple humane societies, volunteering at an animal sanctuary, pet sitting, and I’m going into a Veterinary Technician program next year! I spend lots of my time caring for, playing with and loving animals with different personalities, needs, and comfort levels. Patience, consistency, and making animals feel safe and comfortable is very important. Volunteering and spending my time with animals reinforces how important it is to meet the needs of every specific individual animal. Im comfortable following specialized care and medical instructions carefully and paying close attention to changes in behaviour or needs. I’ve given prescribed medication to animals in many ways, many times so I’m 100% okay and accommodating to special care animals. I’m especially good with shy, anxious, or sensitive animals and try to create a calm, low-stress environment for them. I read, watch and learn lots about animals everyday. I have many certifications around animals as well; like the ‘Fear Free’ certification for example. What sets me apart is my experience and also that I genuinely care about animals as individuals and that I take the time to understand their individual personalities, routines, and boundaries rather than treating care as “just a job”. This is something I’m very passionate about. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and being attentive to their needs. I’m able to dedicate time throughout the day for walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, medication if needed, and making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for. I’m someone who pays close attention to routines and details, so I understand the importance of consistency for animals. Whether a pet is energetic and playful or more shy and relaxed, I’m patient and adapt to what helps them feel safest and happiest. When caring for pets, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent, comfortable, and low-stress as possible. In a client’s home, I respect the pet’s normal schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, medication, bathroom breaks, and rest so they can feel secure in their familiar environment. I pay close attention to behavior, body language, and energy levels to make sure pets are comfortable and getting the care they need. I’m patient with shy or anxious animals and make sure they have space, attention, and calm interaction at their own pace. Safety and cleanliness are also important to me, and I make sure pets have a secure environment, fresh water, and plenty of attention and companionship while their owner is away.
About: With a lifetime of experience caring for both cats and dogs - including seniors and my sweet “grand-dog” ,a special needs tripod, I bring patience, compassion, and a mature and reliable understanding to every visit. I offer flexible, reliable care when you need it most. Whether it’s a gentle walk, extra cuddles, or careful attention for older or special needs pets, I treat every animal like family. I am semi retired working part-time supporting special needs adults a few days per week but love animals and would love to supplement my income by walking / staying in your home while you can’t be there and checking in with your dogs and caring for your cats . I have the freedom to also work weekends if needed . I drive so I am flexible . I am available to check in on your pets. I will provide food and water as well as play and enrichment to keep them happy and entertained. For cats, I am also available to empty litter boxes. I am available to cuddle your pet and spend some time with them while you cannot.
About: With experience from working at Ren’s Pets and caring for my own dog since I was 12, I have a deep understanding of pet needs. I’m passionate about providing safe, attentive, and loving care for dogs of all breeds and sizes. My flexible schedule allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care. With mostly online classes and just one in-person class on Wednesdays, I’m available throughout the week to walk, play with, and care for pups whenever needed! I prioritize safety, trust, and a comfortable environment for every pet I care for. Whether in my home or a pet owner’s home, I ensure a clean, secure, and stress-free space. I follow owners’ instructions carefully, provide plenty of exercise and attention, and always use positive reinforcement. Pets in my care receive patience, love, and a routine that keeps them happy and relaxed.

I can't recommend Maggie enough! She took wonderful care of our three cats, including one who needs daily medication and usually hides from new people. Maggie was so kind, attentive, and punctual for every visit. Her daily report cards and photos brought us so much joy and peace of mind while we were away. If you're looking for a reliable and loving pet sitter, Maggie is the best!"

Sienna was such an amazing sitter! My two kitties were super happy! She took a bunch of pictures and always let me know what she had done during the visit (play, feed, litter, etc). She was super easy to coordinate with as well! I would highly recommend her to anyone!!

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Peterborough choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace.
