“Loghan is such a warm person and our dog instantly took to him. He gave her a beautiful hour long walk with another lovely pup for some social time too! Highly recommend!”

About: I have been around animals all my life. I can’t remember one time in my life when I didn’t have an animal in my household. I can feed them, bathe them, brush them, play with them, walk them…basically all of the above. Anything you need, even just a 10 minute play date? I’m there. I am currently a college student with lots of free time to work during the summer. I am available all week days and weekends. Just let me know :) I care for pets in anyway they need me to. Whether that’s playing, snuggles with them, brushing, feeding, walking, cleaning, general play dates. I’m there for whatever they need.
“Gretel is perfect. She won Mickey over instantly (a rarity) and if I'm to be honest: I followed lol. I've struggled with Mickey a bit, as she doesn't trust new people right away, but there was almost no trace of that or trepidation from Mickey. Her fears vanished within minutes of meeting Gretel (and by luck Sebastian). On my part: I trust Gretel 100% , which is the highest praise I have.”
About: I started taking care of dogs and cats when I was a teenager. When neighbours would go on vacation or have out of town appointments- they would always contact me to walk, feed and care fir their pets. I love both dogs and cats and look forward to caring for yours! I have a flexible work schedule so I am able to work with times that best suit you and your pets. I am happy to meet once booked, prior to starting to get to know you and your pet! I am able to offer drop ins to check in on, feed, clean litter box and do a general wellness visit for your pet. Also bring in mail, water plants.

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and truly enjoy caring for pets of all personalities. I grew up with a Golden Retriever who I cared for throughout my teens and university. She had a very gentle, easygoing temperament, which gave me a strong foundation in daily care, routines, and building trust with dogs. My current dog is a rescue who was found living in a garbage dump, had been shot, and came with many complex behavioural and medical needs. He is leash reactive and not comfortable with other dogs, which has required a lot of training, patience, and consistency. Because of this, I’ve become very confident reading dog body language, managing reactivity, and staying calm and in control on walks. We’re now able to walk comfortably around other dogs, but I always stay attentive and proactive to make sure he feels safe and supported. We are best friends and I am so proud of his progress. I also have lifelong experience with cats, having grown up with one and currently caring for two. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, litter care, and giving cats the space they need while still building trust. I treat every pet like my own and understand that some need extra patience, structure, or attention. Whether your dog is easygoing or needs a bit more support, I’ll make sure they’re safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I currently work early mornings, so I have time in the afternoon/evenings to help love and care for your pets! Thursdays and Sundays I am available all day. I am happy to take your dog outside the home on walks or hikes, or have playtime/care and attention indoors! Whatever your preference I’m in.
“Thank you Falin for the excellent communication pre service and throughout the day. So lucky to have you part of my Peterborough Pet Care Team! Bruno and Miss Veronica say thank you and see again soon!”

About: Your furry friend's happiness is my top priority! With years of experience, I specialize in dog walking, puppy care, and dog and cat sitting. Allow me take your dog on their next adventure! I am currently in school, which leaves most of my days open. This allows me to be flexible with my time and prioritize your pup. Your dog's safety and well-being is extremely important to me. I ensure that each walk is tailored to your dog's needs, whether that's a leisurely stroll or a brisk jog. I provide water, treats, and plenty of love to keep your furry friend happy and healthy.

About: I have frequently taken care of my neighbourhood dogs as well as two senior dogs from a local family. I have two large dogs and two small dogs of my own! Additionally, I have administered medications for animals when instructed to do so. I am currently in my fourth year of University so I would need to arrange times around my classes, however most days and afternoons I am available! I am comfortable abiding to any household rules you have for your fur babies, including specified eating / walking times, crating, and mandatory play times! I tend to spoil my pups so I will ensure to spread the love to yours as well :)
“Fantastic experience and very professional . Rebecca was super friendly and propmt. She took my two dogs for a walk and was available last minute. She is trustworthy and will definitely contact her for next time.”

“Emily and Scott were great. They were flexible and easy to coordinate with in what would be best for my pups. They were also responsive and I was happy there were patient with my trio.”

About: Thank you for reading over my page! I've grown up with dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, and fish. And I love all animals. I'm most familiar with poodles, chow chows, and frenchies, but love all the funny and lovable characteristics every individual dog or cat possesses. I also have extensive experience with reactive dog, and can assist those who need walks with low interaction, special needs, training, etc. I currently work part time as a Law Clerk. This is why I am able to provide almost constant care in your home, dog walks, and whatever else you may need for your furry family members. Looking to help care for your little loved ones, and can also offer some special needs such as medication administration. I am most interested in house/pet sitting over weekdays and weekends. I can also accommodate last minute demands. Dog walking/hiking, drop-ins. All are welcome! Can't wait to meet you! Because I work part time my schedule is generally fairly open, except for school drop off and pick up during the school season. If your furry friend needs constant, uninterrupted care, please let me know and I will advise whether that will be possible. Your pets are your family, and I understand that. When I am caring for your pet I will always treat them with the utmost care and love, making sure any special needs or wants are met 100% of the time.
About: My love for dogs began at a young age, and throughout my life I have naturally taken on the responsibility of caring for them. From daily walks and feeding to grooming, hydration, and training, caring for dogs has always been something I genuinely enjoy. For many years, friends, family, and neighbours have trusted me to care for their pets while they are away, giving me valuable hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and energy levels. I have a natural ability to build strong relationships with dogs and often incorporate training into my interactions, including heel work, recall, leash manners, and fun tricks that help strengthen the bond between dogs and their owners. My goal is to provide reliable, compassionate, and professional care that gives pet owners peace of mind. I am available Monday through Friday for dog walking services, as well as 2–3 drop-in visits between 5:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. each weekday. I’m currently working part time and am available Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. for 1-hour dog walks or drop-in visits, including potty breaks, feeding, hydration, companionship, and a 15-minute walk. To ensure the comfort and well-being of my own three cats, I do not offer boarding services for dogs or cats in my home. Instead, I provide personalized in-home care through 1–3 daily visits, allowing your pets to remain comfortable and relaxed in their familiar environment. For dogs who enjoy a little extra adventure, I have a fully insured and safety-equipped 2003 Honda Civic with dog seatbelt restraints. With your permission, I can take your pup on enriching walks and hikes along the beautiful trails at Emily Provincial Park, providing both exercise and mental stimulation while keeping safety my top priority.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Peterborough choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
