About: I have always had a love for animals and understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I am patient, reliable, and caring, and I do my best to make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. I enjoy spending time with animals of all personalities, whether they are playful and energetic, shy and nervous, or just looking for some calm company. I am happy to help with walks, feeding, playtime, basic routines, and giving pets the attention they need to feel secure. What sets me apart is that I treat every pet like they are my own. I know pets are family, and I take that responsibility seriously. I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide plenty of attention throughout the day. Whether your pet needs a midday walk, regular potty breaks, playtime, or simply someone to keep them company, I can easily fit their routine into my day. I'm available for walks, drop-in visits, daycare, and boarding on both weekdays and weekends, with flexible scheduling whenever possible. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are my highest priorities. Because I work from home, your pet will rarely be left alone and will receive plenty of supervision, companionship, and attention throughout the day. I carefully follow your pet's normal routine, including feeding schedules, medication, exercise, and any special instructions. Whether I'm caring for your pet in my home or yours, I provide a calm, clean, and secure environment. I take the time to get to know each pet's personality and comfort level, use positive reinforcement, and always ensure doors, gates, and leashes are secure. I treat every pet as if they were my own and every home with the same respect I would expect for mine.

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and truly enjoy caring for pets of all personalities. I grew up with a Golden Retriever who I cared for throughout my teens and university. She had a very gentle, easygoing temperament, which gave me a strong foundation in daily care, routines, and building trust with dogs. My current dog is a rescue who was found living in a garbage dump, had been shot, and came with many complex behavioural and medical needs. He is leash reactive and not comfortable with other dogs, which has required a lot of training, patience, and consistency. Because of this, I’ve become very confident reading dog body language, managing reactivity, and staying calm and in control on walks. We’re now able to walk comfortably around other dogs, but I always stay attentive and proactive to make sure he feels safe and supported. We are best friends and I am so proud of his progress. I also have lifelong experience with cats, having grown up with one and currently caring for two. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, litter care, and giving cats the space they need while still building trust. I treat every pet like my own and understand that some need extra patience, structure, or attention. Whether your dog is easygoing or needs a bit more support, I’ll make sure they’re safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I currently work early mornings, so I have time in the afternoon/evenings to help love and care for your pets! Thursdays and Sundays I am available all day. I am happy to take your dog outside the home on walks or hikes, or have playtime/care and attention indoors! Whatever your preference I’m in.

“Lileigh was kind, personable and very reassuring recognizing my discomfort leaving my Cat "Oliver". I was provided comforting messages & photos.... this was my first time booking with Rover & will absolutely not hesitate to rebook in the future. Thank you so much!!”

About: I am the proud owner of a spunky 13 year old Yorkie! My experience includes taking care of friend's and family's pets, as well as volunteering at the Humane Society. I am a local teacher who is currently on summer holidays. I have a very flexible schedule and can accept last minute requests to walk or check in on your fur baby! I will treat your pet as I do my own, with unconditional respect, love, and care! The well-being of every animal is my top priority.
About: I've been caring for pets for over 15 years and love getting to know each animal's unique personality. My experience includes caring for friends' and neighbors' dogs, as well as raising four cats through every stage of life, from kittens to seniors. I know how important it is to keep pets safe, comfortable, and happy while you're away. Whether your pet enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to their routine, I'll provide patient and personalized care adjusted to their needs. I love spending time outdoors and enjoy walks, hikes, and runs, so I would bring your pet with me if that's what they like too! I also have a fenced backyard (for more relaxed outdoor activities) and nearby trails for plenty of exercise. If your pet is more comfortable at home, I'm happy to travel to you. With my own car, I can also take dogs to parks or dog-friendly beaches for extra adventure, if you'd like. Whatever works best for you and your pet, I'm happy to help! I truly appreciate the opportunity to care for your furry family member and will treat them with the same love, patience, and attention I'd give my own. :) I’m available throughout the week and on weekends, and I’m happy to work around your schedule. Just let me know when you need care, and I’ll make it work. I can either take care of your pet at your place or mine. If it is your place, I respect the space, keep everything clean and organized, and ensure pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment. To my living situation: I currently live in a house with my partner without any pets or children. We have a fenced backyard and would have enough space for a crate in the house.
About: Hi there! My name is Tera, I am a responsible young adult looking to spend time with some more critters! I have grown up with dogs my whole life and I have been looking after my clients/neighbors/friends/colleges animals for about 8 years. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and all breeds but I am not limited to just dogs. I have experience with cats, and even horses! I will go above and beyond to keep your pet healthy and happy during our time together :) I can't wait to meet them! I have a pretty open schedule so I have plenty of time to play and take care of your critters! I love exploring and getting fresh air and would love to share that experience with your pet! I understand each pet is different so I will do my very best to follow their individual and unique care routines! Whatever makes your pet more comfortable around me the better:)
About: I’ve been surrounded by animals for most of my life, so caring for pets has always come naturally to me. I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, boundaries, and needs, and I take the time to make sure they feel comfortable and safe with me. I have experience caring for dogs and cats of different ages and needs, including senior and special-needs pets. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, walks, playtime, crate routines, oral medications, and injectable medications. I’m also happy to follow detailed care instructions because I know how important consistency can be, especially for pets who are anxious, elderly, or require medication. When your pet is with me, I want you to be able to relax knowing they’re being genuinely cared for—not simply checked on. I’m happy to send plenty of photos and updates, give them lots of attention, and keep their routine as close to normal as possible while you’re away. Whether your pet wants long walks and playtime or would rather curl up beside me for some company, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at. 🐾 My schedule is quite flexible, which gives me plenty of opportunities to fit pet care into my day. I’m available on many weekends as well as throughout the week between classes, and I’m happy to work with you to find a schedule that fits your pet’s normal routine. I know pets don’t always operate on a convenient schedule, so I take agreed-upon feeding times, bathroom breaks, walks, medications, and other routines seriously. If your pet needs a little extra time, patience, or attention, I’m more than happy to provide it. I also understand how stressful it can be to leave your pet with someone else. Communication is really important to me, so you can expect updates and photos while your pet is in my care. I want you to feel just as comfortable with me as your pet does! Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my priority. I carefully follow any instructions you provide regarding feeding, medications, walks, crates, household rules, behavioural quirks, and routines. I’m also mindful of doors, gates, leashes, interactions with other animals, and anything else that could pose a safety risk. I know that being cared for by a new person can be overwhelming for some animals, so I’m happy to let shy or nervous pets approach me at their own pace. I’ll never force interaction, and I’m comfortable adapting my care to your pet’s personality. I treat every home with the same respect I would want someone to show mine and will always communicate with you if I notice anything unusual with your pet.

About: My love for dogs began at a young age, and throughout my life I have naturally taken on the responsibility of caring for them. From daily walks and feeding to grooming, hydration, and training, caring for dogs has always been something I genuinely enjoy. For many years, friends, family, and neighbours have trusted me to care for their pets while they are away, giving me valuable hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and energy levels. I have a natural ability to build strong relationships with dogs and often incorporate training into my interactions, including heel work, recall, leash manners, and fun tricks that help strengthen the bond between dogs and their owners. My goal is to provide reliable, compassionate, and professional care that gives pet owners peace of mind. For dogs who enjoy a little extra adventure, I have a fully insured and safety-equipped 2003 Honda Civic with dog seatbelt restraints. With your permission, I can take your pup on enriching walks and hikes along the beautiful trails at Emily Provincial Park, providing both exercise and mental stimulation while keeping safety my top priority.

“Vanessa was awesome! She cared for our cat Luna while we were away, providing lots of updates & photos each visit. We had a last minute change to our pet care and Vanessa was able and willing to help us out with only a few days notice. We really appreciated her stepping up to help us and for being so loving to our sweet Luna. Highly recommend! We will definitely book Vanessa again in the future :)”

“This was our first time having Brooke care for our senior cat. We received frequent updates with photos and video. Couldn't be more pleased with the loving care she provided. Brooke even went over and above and administered some unexpected medical care to Mario. Overall, a wonderful experience ❤️. We will definitely be looking to Brooke for our future pet care needs.”

We were very happy with Loghan's visit to our German Shepard. I don't think we have every felt that secure with someone looking after him. Loghan is exceptional! Highly recommended. The next day we said his voice to Oscar and he perked right up. A very good sign!!!
Thank you so much Brooklyne! We will certainly hire you again to help with Bert! Brooklyne was amazing with our reactive - but very loving and energetic - border collie. We are always nervous about new folks walking her since she can be a handful, but Brooklyne is a pro and knew exactly what to do.

It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
