I’ve been surrounded by animals for most of my life, so caring for pets has always come naturally to me. I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, boundaries, and needs, and I take the time to make sure they feel comfortable and safe with me. I have experience caring for dogs and cats of different ages and needs, including senior and special-needs pets. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, walks, playtime, crate routines, oral medications, and injectable medications. I’m also happy to follow detailed care instructions because I know how important consistency can be, especially for pets who are anxious, elderly, or require medication. When your pet is with me, I want you to be able to relax knowing they’re being genuinely cared for—not simply checked on. I’m happy to send plenty of photos and updates, give them lots of attention, and keep their routine as close to normal as possible while you’re away. Whether your pet wants long walks and playtime or would rather curl up beside me for some company, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at. 🐾

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my priority. I carefully follow any instructions you provide regarding feeding, medications, walks, crates, household rules, behavioural quirks, and routines. I’m also mindful of doors, gates, leashes, interactions with other animals, and anything else that could pose a safety risk. I know that being cared for by a new person can be overwhelming for some animals, so I’m happy to let shy or nervous pets approach me at their own pace. I’ll never force interaction, and I’m comfortable adapting my care to your pet’s personality. I treat every home with the same respect I would want someone to show mine and will always communicate with you if I notice anything unusual with your pet.

Schedule
My schedule is quite flexible, which gives me plenty of opportunities to fit pet care into my day. I’m available on many weekends as well as throughout the week between classes, and I’m happy to work with you to find a schedule that fits your pet’s normal routine. I know pets don’t always operate on a convenient schedule, so I take agreed-upon feeding times, bathroom breaks, walks, medications, and other routines seriously. If your pet needs a little extra time, patience, or attention, I’m more than happy to provide it. I also understand how stressful it can be to leave your pet with someone else. Communication is really important to me, so you can expect updates and photos while your pet is in my care. I want you to feel just as comfortable with me as your pet does!
