“Charlie had a fantastic time with Sheilagh and Teresa. He fit right in with the rest of the dog family, played in the wading pool, and generally adopted S & T as his own. Pictures of his adventures arrived regularly while I was away. Charlie will be very happy to come back for another visit soon. Thank you for taking such lovely care of him.”

“Our two pups had a wonderful time at Gretel’s. Our one super social pup enjoyed making all sorts of new friends and our older girl who enjoys peace and quite found a lovely spot to relax. They were spoiled. I’m sure they can’t wait for us to have another vacation ?”

“Bryan and Raisa were very accomadating, took me last minute too which I appreciated very much. From the moment Charlie and I met them, we felt comfortable, warmth and care. I can assure your pup will be in good habds with these two dog loving caregivers. I will definitly use them both agaon if ever I need.”

“Loghan too wonderful care of our puppy while we were away. He sent lots of photos and was easy to communicate with. We love that he got our puppy out on lots of walks. She came home exhausted. We will definitely book with Loghan the next time we are heading out of town. Thank you for taking such great care of River!”

“Melissa and her family took such amazing care of Murphy! She sent us daily pictures of him fitting in perfectly with everyone including her own dog. It was our first time leaving him and she put our minds at ease that he was loved and cared for. We can’t recommend her enough! We would definitely leave Murphy in her care again. He had a great time!”

“During a recent stay with Devin, Wendel was very well cared for. Devin was incredibly communicative throughout the stay, sending lots of photos and regular updates, which gave me great peace of mind. It was clear Wendel was having a fantastic time—they went on plenty of walks and hikes, spent lots of time outdoors enjoying the sunshine, and Wendel looked happy and relaxed in every update. I wouldn't hesitate to book with Devin again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.”

“Joanne has been amazing, we just recently started with some walks and had our first weekend of boarding and we are so glad we found Joanne ! “Highly recommend Anhi! She’s very caring, sent me regular updates and took good care of our senior dog Bella. She is on a special diet and has many quirks for senior lady that some may not wish to handle. Anhi fit her schedule around our last minute booking, shifted things around to accommodate us and took great care of Bella. We’re so thankful and would use her services again! Highly recommend!”

“Mahan took such great care of our girl, Twix, this weekend. It gave us real peace of mind knowing Twix was in such good hands. You can tell Mahan genuinely cares — we came home to a happy, well-looked-after doggy. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely book again!”

“Susan and her family took care of my pups for over a week. I have been so impressed with the care they received. When I picked up my pups, it was apparent that they had a great time - they were happy, tired and well loved. She has a great property in the country with trees, and lots of land for sniffing and exploring. Susan sent me photos and updates when I requested them. She made my pups adorable bandanas with their names as a gift to take home. When my pups ran out of vegetables, she made her own to feed them. She is incredibly generous! I absolutely recommend Susan and will be booking with her again in the future! Thanks Susan!”

“Marie was absolutely wonderful with Daisy over the weekend! She’s clearly very knowledgeable about dogs and kept me in the loop with evening updates, which I really appreciate. Daisy got lots of attention and exercise and was well cared for. I also really valued the training tips Marie shared and the time she took to explain things. Soo helpful. I felt completely at ease. Daisy was in such good hands. Highly recommend Marie to anyone looking for thoughtful, reliable pet care!”

“Marta was our first sitter since moving to Peterborough and what a find! Great meet-and-greet, reliable communication and awesome updates throughout the day. My dog was in loving hands and I had peace of mind while she was in Marta’s care.”

“We just cannot thank Elizabeth (Jayne) enough for all the love and attention she gave our old boy, Jack while we were away on vacation. Jayne was happy to be in touch with us and regularly sent pics and videos. Jack doesn’t always do well without us, but he settled in quickly and absolutely loved all the walks, love and attention he got at Jayne’s house! Jack is diabetic so it was such a relief knowing that Jayne had lots of experience giving insulin too. We will most definitely be calling Jayne again! Thank you, Jayne!”

She was a great communicator before and during his stay and kept this anxious mama up to date on how and what he was doing. It was a relief to leave Cally and Pumpkin in care with someone who clearly loves cats. I highly recommend this service and site without hesitation and know you can leave your furry friends in caring hands and enjoy your time away! We will definitely be booking again! “I was so happy to have Andrea stay with our two cats. What a lovely person! We were away for nearly four weeks, but I never worried about any of them. Andrea sent messages and photos during that time, and I could see that they were all getting along well. We came home to a tidy home and two happy cats! I hope Andrea will come and stay the next time we need a cat sitter. 🐈🐈⬛”

About: I have always had a love for animals and understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I am patient, reliable, and caring, and I do my best to make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. I enjoy spending time with animals of all personalities, whether they are playful and energetic, shy and nervous, or just looking for some calm company. I am happy to help with walks, feeding, playtime, basic routines, and giving pets the attention they need to feel secure. What sets me apart is that I treat every pet like they are my own. I know pets are family, and I take that responsibility seriously. I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide plenty of attention throughout the day. Whether your pet needs a midday walk, regular potty breaks, playtime, or simply someone to keep them company, I can easily fit their routine into my day. I'm available for walks, drop-in visits, daycare, and boarding on both weekdays and weekends, with flexible scheduling whenever possible. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are my highest priorities. Because I work from home, your pet will rarely be left alone and will receive plenty of supervision, companionship, and attention throughout the day. I carefully follow your pet's normal routine, including feeding schedules, medication, exercise, and any special instructions. Whether I'm caring for your pet in my home or yours, I provide a calm, clean, and secure environment. I take the time to get to know each pet's personality and comfort level, use positive reinforcement, and always ensure doors, gates, and leashes are secure. I treat every pet as if they were my own and every home with the same respect I would expect for mine.

About: I’ve had cats in my home all of my life, but have had my own cat for 3.5 years now. My cat is part bengal, so naturally he is very energetic and smart. I’ve taught him to sit, high five, lay down, and fetch. I’ve given him both oral and topical (such as eye drops) medications successfully, and have always followed veterinary instructions closely. I clean his litter boxes daily, as he is quite particular. Furthermore, I’ve done a lot of research about cats in order to give him the best life possible. He has a water fountain away from his food because cats prefer running water, he is fed a special urinary care dry food because of past issues, and he is also fed wet food because moisture is of utmost importance for cats and their kidneys - especially male cats. I never keep flowers or toxic plants in my house for his safety, and I take him outside on a leash so that he is able to get the stimulation he needs with less risk. I’m a very particular cat owner, and would understand and respect any other cat owners preferences, just as I’d hope someone would do the same for me.

About: I’ve had cats in the home since I was just a baby. By age 8 I completely took care of all cat related tasks in my home including; brushing, feeding, hydrating, some training, kitty litter. I’ve loved cats since I was little to now as I have 3 of my own precious babies. I am available for drop in visits 2-3 times a day Monday - Friday 5am - 2pm

“Hongli was great with our cat tiki. She provided us with daily updates and pictures. Flexible drop off and pickup. Would recommend and we'll use her services again! Thank you!”

About: From playful kittens to independent adults and senior cats, I understand that every cat has their own routine and comfort level. Whether your cat loves to play, enjoys quiet companionship, or prefers their own space, I'll respect their personality and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. I also know how important it is to keep litter boxes clean, maintain feeding schedules, and provide a calm, low-stress environment that helps cats feel at ease. I've had the joy of caring for four cats of my own, giving me hands-on experience with cats of different ages, personalities, and needs. I've cared for both male and female cats, including those that were spayed/neutered, as well as females while they were in heat. This has helped me become familiar with a wide range of feline behaviors and how to provide patient care.

About: hiii, I’m Devin! (I’m new to Rover) I have (ongoing) experience volunteering at multiple humane societies, volunteering at an animal sanctuary, pet sitting, and I’m going into a Veterinary Technician program next year! I spend lots of my time caring for, playing with and loving animals with different personalities, needs, and comfort levels. Patience, consistency, and making animals feel safe and comfortable is very important. Volunteering and spending my time with animals reinforces how important it is to meet the needs of every specific individual animal. Im comfortable following specialized care and medical instructions carefully and paying close attention to changes in behaviour or needs. I’ve given prescribed medication to animals in many ways, many times so I’m 100% okay and accommodating to special care animals. I’m especially good with shy, anxious, or sensitive animals and try to create a calm, low-stress environment for them. I read, watch and learn lots about animals everyday. I have many certifications around animals as well; like the ‘Fear Free’ certification for example. What sets me apart is my experience and also that I genuinely care about animals as individuals and that I take the time to understand their individual personalities, routines, and boundaries rather than treating care as “just a job”. This is something I’m very passionate about. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and being attentive to their needs. I’m able to dedicate time throughout the day for walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, medication if needed, and making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for. I’m someone who pays close attention to routines and details, so I understand the importance of consistency for animals. Whether a pet is energetic and playful or more shy and relaxed, I’m patient and adapt to what helps them feel safest and happiest. When caring for pets, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent, comfortable, and low-stress as possible. In a client’s home, I respect the pet’s normal schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, medication, bathroom breaks, and rest so they can feel secure in their familiar environment. I pay close attention to behavior, body language, and energy levels to make sure pets are comfortable and getting the care they need. I’m patient with shy or anxious animals and make sure they have space, attention, and calm interaction at their own pace. Safety and cleanliness are also important to me, and I make sure pets have a secure environment, fresh water, and plenty of attention and companionship while their owner is away.

“Amazing. Asked me all the important questions, let me look around. When we got stuck in bad weather on the way to pick out puppy up, she offered to either try to drive him back or keep him overnight. Mochi had a great time there.”

“Not only did we need a daycare appointment on Christmas Day, we had to make a last-minute switch to Boxing Day. We had never worked with Bryan and Raisa before but we will again, definitely! Molly was well cared-for and in great spirits when we picked her up! We received some pics throughout as well. Thanks so much to Bryan and Raisa for giving us peace of mind!”

“She is amazing, very caring and very kind. Milo had never been away from home without us and he was super happy and relaxed, when my husband came to pick him up he wasn’t in any rush to leave but the opposite feels like he was hoping to stay longer. We really appreciate she walked Milo 4 times and when we came to pick him up we were impressed to see Milo walking so politely and relaxed with her, Milo with us is pulling the leach all the time. We are very happy and we’re thankful for all she did to integrate Milo and make him feel comfortable and happy”

“Loghan is awesome, great communication and easy to reach. He sends pictures during Leo's stay which I really appreciate. Leo loves going over to Loghans for a stay! Thank you so much.”

About: Hi! We are Star Sitters here on Rover, with 6 years of professional pet care and 18 with our own animals. Someone is always here in our calm, safe, and dog friendly home so your dog can spend the day with company instead of being home alone. We do live with our loveable Boston Terrier, Gus, and we are often found hiking on dog friendly trails on the weekend or spending time at the lake. We are very active, enjoy being outside and think dogs should be too - Gus has a lot of energy so daily excercise is key already here. I work as a professional planner and Scott works from home and we are both free on weekends with flexible schedules. We spend a lot of love and time on Gus, who, like us, loves being around other dogs. We would be happy to meet you and your doggy in advance so you can get to know us. Emily works in the office four days per week just a few minutes from home, Scott works from home. Neither of us work on the weekend. Our home is save for any animal - we're smoke free, drug free with no children. Gus loves other dogs and always enjoys having a friend around. Our back yard is mostly fenced in and it's tucked behind. The front is also mostly fenced with a small garden fence.
“Andrea was great with Venus. This is the first time I had her at doggy daycare and I was a little worried but Andrea was calm and relaxed and even sent me photos of Venus showing she was having fun. I’ve already booked Venus’s next visit with her. I would highly recommend Andrea!!!!”

About: Thank you for reading over my page! I've grown up with dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, and fish. And I love all animals. I'm most familiar with poodles, chow chows, and frenchies, but love all the funny and lovable characteristics every individual dog or cat possesses. I also have extensive experience with reactive dog, and can assist those who need walks with low interaction, special needs, training, etc. I currently work part time as a Law Clerk. This is why I am able to provide almost constant care in your home, dog walks, and whatever else you may need for your furry family members. Looking to help care for your little loved ones, and can also offer some special needs such as medication administration. I am most interested in house/pet sitting over weekdays and weekends. I can also accommodate last minute demands. Dog walking/hiking, drop-ins. All are welcome! Can't wait to meet you! Because I work part time my schedule is generally fairly open, except for school drop off and pick up during the school season. If your furry friend needs constant, uninterrupted care, please let me know and I will advise whether that will be possible. Your pets are your family, and I understand that. When I am caring for your pet I will always treat them with the utmost care and love, making sure any special needs or wants are met 100% of the time.
About: I've had dogs in my life for 40 years and truly love having them around. In recent years I've owned senior rescue dogs, so I understand how important patience, routine and gentle attention can be. Whether a dog is playful or just needs a place to happily chill, I make sure they feel comfortable and at ease. I take dogs in when you're travelling or need occasional dog sitting, rather than permanent dog care. Because I work from home, dogs fit very naturally into my daily routine. They get plenty of attention, regular outdoor breaks in my fenced yard and relaxed time inside the house with me throughout the day. I enjoy walking with them, playtime and quiet companionship. Your dog will stay in a calm, safe and loving home where they can relax and feel comfortable. They will have plenty of outdoor breaks in my fenced yard as well as regular walks. I pay close attention to their personality and routine so they feel safe, cared for and right at home while you're away. There are no other pets or children in my home, so your dog will have my full attention.
About: I've been caring for pets for over 15 years and love getting to know each animal's unique personality. My experience includes caring for friends' and neighbors' dogs, as well as raising four cats through every stage of life, from kittens to seniors. I know how important it is to keep pets safe, comfortable, and happy while you're away. Whether your pet enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to their routine, I'll provide patient and personalized care adjusted to their needs. I love spending time outdoors and enjoy walks, hikes, and runs, so I would bring your pet with me if that's what they like too! I also have a fenced backyard (for more relaxed outdoor activities) and nearby trails for plenty of exercise. If your pet is more comfortable at home, I'm happy to travel to you. With my own car, I can also take dogs to parks or dog-friendly beaches for extra adventure, if you'd like. Whatever works best for you and your pet, I'm happy to help! I truly appreciate the opportunity to care for your furry family member and will treat them with the same love, patience, and attention I'd give my own. :) I’m available throughout the week and on weekends, and I’m happy to work around your schedule. Just let me know when you need care, and I’ll make it work. I can either take care of your pet at your place or mine. If it is your place, I respect the space, keep everything clean and organized, and ensure pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment. To my living situation: I currently live in a house with my partner without any pets or children. We have a fenced backyard and would have enough space for a crate in the house.
“My dog was very comfortable and happy right away on meeting Lisa at her house. Great backyard and lots of space to explore and play inside as well. Friendly and asked all the right questions, would recommend.”

About: I have enjoyed taking care of dogs and other pets from a young age. I like getting to know the unique qualities of each animal and enjoy providing an enriching environment full of activities for the active dog, or a quiet, calm space for the pets who take more time to settle in. Caring for, and socializing, puppies over a summer was one of the most memorable pet care times, as a family member was preparing to find homes for a litter. I'm currently off work for the summer and have lots of flexibility to care for your pets for overnight stays, walks, or drop in visits to your home. I have a fenced backyard and a park across the road with lots of walking trails around to accomodate all the needs or your furry friend. We do also have 1 friendly cat in the home.
About: I’ve spent my whole life caring for animals, and I truly can’t imagine a home without them. Over the years, I’ve raised and trained dogs from puppyhood—including golden retrievers, labs, and shepherd mixes—and loved them through every stage of life until their senior years. I’ve also cared for cats for more than 25 years, including fostering pregnant mothers and nursing newborn kittens. What really sets me apart is my experience with pets that need extra care: elderly, injured, or special-needs animals who require patience, strength, and compassion. Through volunteering with LAWS and the Humane Society, I’ve had the privilege of supporting animals in all kinds of situations. I’m active, reliable, and strong—I go to the gym regularly—and I’ll bring that same energy, love, and dedication to caring for your pets as if they were my own. Now that I’m semi retired, I have all the time in the world to dedicate to something I truly love—caring for animals. My days are wide open, which means I can easily adjust to your pet’s schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, or just keeping them company. Spending time with animals has always been one of my favourite pastimes, and it brings me joy to make them feel safe, happy, and cared for. Whether it’s a relaxed cuddle session with a senior cat, an energetic walk with a playful dog, or checking in throughout the day, I have the flexibility and the heart to give your pets the attention they deserve. When I care for pets in my home, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and part of the family. I keep a calm, pet-friendly environment with lots of love, attention, and plenty of time for play or rest depending on their needs. If I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routines closely, whether that means sticking to specific feeding times, administering medications, or keeping up with favourite activities. I know how important consistency is for animals, so I make it a priority to keep their day-to-day life as familiar and stress-free as possible. No matter the setting, I give each pet the patience, care, and affection I’d want for my own.

I have extensive experience caring for dogs, cats, reptiles, and other small furry animals, allowing me to confidently meet a wide variety of pet care needs. I am comfortable with feeding routines, enrichment activities, habitat maintenance, and administering medications when required. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. I am trained in dog CPR, and I prioritize safety, structure, and positive reinforcement in every interaction. Whether your pet needs a reliable walker, patient caregiver, or someone who understands behaviour and individualized care, I tailor our services to fit their unique needs. Animals aren’t just a job for me—they’re my passion. I genuinely love building trust, providing enrichment, and ensuring every pet feels comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. We offer flexible, around-the-clock availability to meet your pet care needs. Whether you need early morning walks, midday drop-ins, evening visits, overnight care, or last-minute bookings, were happy to accommodate a schedule that works best for you and your pet. I understand that every household runs differently, and pets don’t always stick to a 9–5 routine. That’s why I make myself available all hours of the day, including weekends and holidays, to provide consistent, reliable care when you need it most. Your pet’s routine, comfort, and well-being remain my priority, no matter the time. Safety, trust, and comfort are my top priorities when caring for pets in both my home and my client’s home. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, and any medical or behavioral needs to ensure consistency and reduce stress. I maintain a clean, calm, and pet-safe environment, closely supervise interactions, and follow feeding, exercise, and medication instructions exactly as provided. In a client’s home, I respect your space while keeping your pet’s routine as normal as possible — including walks, playtime, enrichment, and quiet rest. In my home, pets are treated like family, with a secure environment, structured care, and plenty of attention.
“Andrea did a great job of looking after my elderly golden doodle. We took a day trip and we had Andrea look after our dog at lunch and dinner time. We look forward to using Andrea again for our next day trip.”

About: I'll treat your dog like it's my own. I love being around dogs. I have 15+ years caring for animals of all ages. I'm farm raised with lots of animals, always had a dog or two growing up and still continue to have my own. I'm confident with any age dog from puppies to seniors. I currently work part-time as a dog trainer and volunteer with the humane society with their dogs. I enjoy working with dogs to get them to really enjoy the walk. I do work with pullers and jumpers and try to get your dog to a level where you'll also be able to enjoy your walks. I aim to put a dent in your dog's exercise needs to give you that calm, fulfilled pup when you return. Your dog will be welcomed as a pack member with me where we will work to have mutual respect between myself and your dog(s). I take a firm, but fair, no nonsense approach to working with dogs. I live on a farm near town and do have open fields that your dog may run and play (if you and I both feel comfortable with your dog being off leash). I do also have a large fenced in area I use as well and a shop area that I often use for my training space. My girlfriend and I are both on Rover and often work together with different dogs including our own. Meet and Greets are always welcome to ensure I am the best fit for your dog. Please reach out if you have any questions.

“Dana has been wonderful from the moment we met. She has fully accommodated my crazy dog mom concerns, has great communication, has kept me posted every step of the way with pictures, wasn’t phased by some not so enjoyable behaviours we are working hard to change and applied as much of the training, as she had observed and was told, as she could for us in our absence. Would definitely recommend and will use again. Thanks Dana!”

About: My love for dogs began at a young age, and throughout my life I have naturally taken on the responsibility of caring for them. From daily walks and feeding to grooming, hydration, and training, caring for dogs has always been something I genuinely enjoy. For many years, friends, family, and neighbours have trusted me to care for their pets while they are away, giving me valuable hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and energy levels. I have a natural ability to build strong relationships with dogs and often incorporate training into my interactions, including heel work, recall, leash manners, and fun tricks that help strengthen the bond between dogs and their owners. My goal is to provide reliable, compassionate, and professional care that gives pet owners peace of mind. I am available Monday through Friday for dog walking services, as well as 2–3 drop-in visits between 5:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. each weekday.

Anhi fit her schedule around our last minute booking, shifted things around to accommodate us and took great care of Bella. We’re so thankful and would use her services again! Highly recommend!”

“Danielle was the PERFECT choice to watch our boy Taco while we had to attend an out of town wedding. She was a great communicator before and during his stay and kept this anxious mama up to date on how and what he was doing. She even camped out in the living room with him overnight so he would feel safe and secure. I could tell Taco was very comfortable there. I highly recommend Danielle as a sitter for your pet.”

“Christine is a very warm, very friendly caring person and it was obvious from the moment she met our two dogs they would be in wonderful hands with her! One of our dogs is very shy, yet she took to Christine very quickly. Their home is perfect in terms of the layout and with a fenced back yard. Christine sent us photos over the 3 day period and is very responsive in her replies. One of our dogs is challenged to navigate stairs however Christine had a gate to prevent her from going up the stairs and potentially hurting herself. We would definitely book Christine again to care for our two dogs!!”

She kept me updated throughout the stay by sending regular photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that my dog was happy, comfortable, and well-loved in her care. Hillary is kind, reliable, and truly goes above and beyond for the pets she watches. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter. Thank you again, Hillary!”
