They took the time to ask lots of questions and made sure he would be a good fit for their pack. We did a single trial night (June 18-19) as it was our first time leaving him and they were kind enough to send us lots of pictures & updates on him. He was one tired boy on Sunday but he had a great time! This past weekend they had our big guy for 3 days and when he got out of the car he was SO EXCITED to see them. It definitely reassured us that we made the best decision to send him to Melissa & Brian. He was so loved and spoiled! When I picked up my pups, it was apparent that they had a great time - they were happy, tired and well loved. She has a great property in the country with trees, and lots of land for sniffing and exploring. Susan sent me photos and updates when I requested them. She made my pups adorable bandanas with their names as a gift to take home. When my pups ran out of vegetables, she made her own to feed them. She is incredibly generous! We were also kept informed about how well he was eating and what his days looked like, which we truly appreciated. One of the biggest signs of how well he was cared for was when we picked Chewie up—he wasn’t overly excited to see us, which honestly said it all. About: I’ve had cats in my home all of my life, but have had my own cat for 3.5 years now. My cat is part bengal, so naturally he is very energetic and smart. I’ve taught him to sit, high five, lay down, and fetch. I’ve given him both oral and topical (such as eye drops) medications successfully, and have always followed veterinary instructions closely. I clean his litter boxes daily, as he is quite particular. Furthermore, I’ve done a lot of research about cats in order to give him the best life possible. He has a water fountain away from his food because cats prefer running water, he is fed a special urinary care dry food because of past issues, and he is also fed wet food because moisture is of utmost importance for cats and their kidneys - especially male cats. I never keep flowers or toxic plants in my house for his safety, and I take him outside on a leash so that he is able to get the stimulation he needs with less risk. About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 12 years old. I’ve always been the person my family and friends ask to help watch their dog or to just stop by to let them out and feed them. I’m also capable of following a routine if needed and or making my own planned out routine for the dog. Currently I work part time at petsmart as a dog trainer where I teach classes for all breed and ages of dogs, I’m an accredited trainer and I plan to be certified in the future. I currently offer daily walks and drop-ins to check on your fur babies and house sitting:) I am currently a part time nurse, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pups! I would ensure your pup had a long walk and even have some play time in there as well I typically would walk and play with your pup for 30 mins to an hour depending on your preferences. House sitting is more detailed and customized to each pet parents requests! I have a ton of patient and will go at the pace of your dog and not rush anything. I would make sure your pup has all the necessities when being walked or checked in and making sure they are always happy and content before leaving. As well as making sure they have sufficient water and lots of play time before leaving and I would also love to send pictures while I am walking or checking in on your pup and send them to you!
