About: I have been an animal lover my whole life and have many years of experience caring for dogs and cats, as well as other animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters. I have experience walking, grooming (basic), and caring for various dog breeds and ages and love to go the extra mile! Since childhood, I have taken a keen interest in volunteering with animals and have worked with many wonderful organizations such as Nova's Ark and Action Volunteers for Animals. I have cared for many pets growing up, most recently my 16 year old beagle, Clyde, who sadly passed away almost 2 years ago. I am very familiar with the special needs and care that senior dogs and cats require. I have also taken care of friends and family's pets for extended time periods as well. I am currently working as a Pet Health Consultant at Tail Blazers, a health food store for pets, for almost 2 years now which has allowed me to greatly expand my knowledge of pet care. I bring my love and passion for animals into everything I do in life. I believe our pets are family and so deserve all the love, dignity, and respect! Your furry friend/family would be in the best of hands in my care! Dog Walking & Drop-In Availability: Sunday & Saturday - between 9:30am and 7:00pm. Monday-Friday - between 8:00am to 9:30am and evenings after 4:45pm. Housesitting availability is flexible but varies. I am only available to housesit at the pet owners house. I am flexible and can make changes to my weekday schedule for regular clients or for special circumstances. I will do everything I can to ensure the safety, health, and happiness of your pet and help your daily/weekly schedules go as smoothly as possible. Whether you need a pet sitter or walker or just need someone to drop by for a check in and potty break, I'm your girl! I am more than comfortable assisting in feeding and crating your dog before or after walks if needed.
About: My love for animals started at a very young age as I grew up with dogs, cats, gerbils, hamsters, birds, fish, a rabbit and a chinchilla! I have always loved caring for my animals and treat them like children and I am instilling the same love for living things in my own two girls as they grow. During my many years of having animals, I have had lots of experience with different medical needs as they aged or had allergies and dietary restrictions. I currently have one dog who gets along well with other dogs and one cat who is very much like a dog himself, and also is good with other animals. I also have two young children. We spent a lot of time training our dog Groot and have a great understanding of dog behaviour. I also have a background in behaviour modification. While your dog is at my house we will go on walks, play in the back yard, catch balls, wrestle and play tug-of war!
About: I am a caring and empathic animal lover. I have over 15 years of experience caring for both puppies and senior dogs (my own and looking after other pups). I am energetic and enjoy being outside and will offer your dogs lots of outdoor time! I am currently working part time and have plenty of time to play with your pup and introduce them to my very friendly dog George! I have a green space across from my townhome and have plenty of safe areas to walk dogs. I have a secure balcony where pups can lounge and nap and watch the neighbours.
“Kiana made this experience so comfortable and easy. It was my first time leaving my two cats for so long and she took such good care of them. They are both a bit skiddish but they took to her immediately (I think speaking to her demeanor and personality). I received full updates each day with pictures and modifications she needed to make (leaving more food and water). I had zero concerns or problems and highly recommend her for all your pet care needs. Thank you Kiana and we'll see you again!”

About: As a passionate critical care nurse, my heart is always with animals, especially dogs. While I dream of having my own furry companion, my unpredictable shift work makes it challenging to provide a stable home for a dog right now. That’s why I would love the opportunity to care for and give love to other dogs in need of attention and companionship. I truly enjoy getting outside for exercise and playtime, especially engaging with their favorite toys and ensuring they have fun. With a flexible schedule, I am able to accommodate dogs of all types and sizes, providing attentive, caring, and personalized care that every dog deserves. If you’re looking for someone who understands the importance of love, exercise, and consistent care for your dog, I’m here to help! I work 2 day shifts (7am-7pm) and 2 night shifts (7pm-7am) and off for 5. Available during the day most weeks and able to accommodate in between night shifts as well :) I have a fully fenced in backyard and a park behind my home. I love getting out for walks and sniffs! They will also get lots of attention and love.

“Julia was amazing with my two babies, autumn and winter. Autumn, who’s usually very shy around strangers, came out of her shell with Julia and was fairly comfortable with her. This was a big win for us. I was nervous leaving my house and kids with a stranger but Julia was not only professional but also kept an eye out for anything amiss with the house. Autumn and Winter were happy and active with her. I would totally recommend Julia to anyone looking for personalised care for their fur babies.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Oshawa
We recently returned from our vacation and we had booked Holly to live in with our pets and we were so relaxed and worry free knowing Holly was with our munchkins. She checked in with us regularly and was responsive when we reached out to her. We appreciated how attentive she was and thorough in reviewing our guidelines prior to and during our vacation. Thank you again Holly for the ‘peace of mind’!

I naturally liked Natasha right from the start and my shy dogs were automatically drawn to her. She was very reliable, responsible, understood my concerns, and followed instructions perfectly. I was able to relax knowing my dogs were well taken care of and secure. Finding Natasha was such a blessing!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
