About: I traded in spreadsheets for squeaky toys! After years in the corporate world, I chose to follow my heart—and paws. As a proud dog mom for 3.5 years, with Pet First Aid certification and plenty of hands-on experience caring for friends’ and family pets, I provide dependable, loving care you can feel good about. I bring peace of mind (and plenty of belly rubs!) to every visit. 🐾 I work part-time and have a flexible schedule, so I can give your pup plenty of walks, cuddles, and playtime throughout the week. I also offer overnight boarding, so your furry friend can enjoy a cozy, loving home-away-from-home while you’re away. Every pet gets care, attention, and belly rubs—just like they deserve! 🐾 I have a 200-foot fully fenced backyard where pups can safely romp, play, and explore. I also care for pets in their own home, always respecting routines and house rules so they feel comfortable and stress-free. I walk dogs, provide cozy overnight boarding, and make sure every visit is safe, calm, and full of belly rubs—because happy pups make me happy too! 🐾
About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 12 years old. I’ve always been the person my family and friends ask to help watch their dog or to just stop by to let them out and feed them. I’m also capable of following a routine if needed and or making my own planned out routine for the dog. Currently I work part time at petsmart as a dog trainer where I teach classes for all breed and ages of dogs, I’m an accredited trainer and I plan to be certified in the future. I have experience with puppies all ages and I am comfortable with giving medication to old dogs if needed. Currently I work part time at petsmart so I have lost of free time during the week to watch, walk or let out your dog if needed. I am available also for routine visits for the same pet. For all of my pets I have kept or taken care of, I have always followed a routine that I am either given or I create on my own to I make sure nothing gets left behind or forgotten. My goal is to ensure i reach your dog’s daily needs for the time that I’m there with them.

About: Growing up with cats, I developed a deep love and understanding for animals from a young age. Over the years, I've provided care for a variety of pets, especially cats and dogs, giving me a wealth of experience in handling different breeds and temperaments. In addition to taking care of my own pets, I’ve frequently pet-sat for family and friends, ensuring their dogs received plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while they were away. Whether it's playtime, walks, or simply cuddling up, I’m dedicated to making pets feel safe and loved in my care. Available for pet care during evenings and weekends! I work 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM on weekdays but am flexible for morning or midday check-ins. When pet sitting in a client's home, my approach is centered on providing a comfortable and stress-free experience for both the pets and their owners. Here’s how I manage it: 1) Familiarization with the Home: Before starting, I visit the client's home to understand the layout, locate essential supplies (like food, medications, and toys), and learn about any specific care routines or preferences. 2) Routine Maintenance: I stick to the pets' established routines, including feeding times, exercise schedules, and any specific care instructions. Consistency helps keep pets comfortable and reduces their stress. 3) Regular Updates: I provide frequent updates to the owner, including photos and notes about the pet’s well-being, to keep them informed and reassured.
“Julia was amazing with my two babies, autumn and winter. Autumn, who’s usually very shy around strangers, came out of her shell with Julia and was fairly comfortable with her. This was a big win for us. I was nervous leaving my house and kids with a stranger but Julia was not only professional but also kept an eye out for anything amiss with the house. Autumn and Winter were happy and active with her. I would totally recommend Julia to anyone looking for personalised care for their fur babies.”

“Yee Yan did an amazing job taking care of my cat! She’s super detailed and genuinely concerned about every little thing. With her vet tech background, I know my cat’s in good hands. I’ll definitely rebook her next time.”

“Faye was amazing! She did drop in visits for my 2 cats and it went so well- she updated me each visit, sent photos and provided detailed updates. I will definitely be using her again!!”

“When you meet Denell, you can see she’s an animal lover and pets love her too. She took very good care of our two cats for the week we needed her. She was attentive to them, communicated with me through the week, and also shared photos. I highly recommend her and we will be calling on Denell again.”

About: Animals are my absolute passion and I live my life very much in mind of animal welfare. As a testament, I have been a vegetarian for many years now and it's a joy to be able to care for and spend time with animals. Most people would define me as a compassionate and dedicated animal lover. It would be my dream to make it my work. I really enjoy being out with the dogs and I tend to give them a lot of attention and always have safety and enrichment in mind. In the past I would go on "Meetup" dog walking hikes, even though I do not own one, just because it makes hiking that much better! I have volunteered and been trained at several animal shelters over the years including the Toronto Humane Society where I would walk a range of dogs, everything from aggressive, blind, physically disabled, friendly and various types of breeds. I also grew up with a family pet for 14 years in addition to dog walking for countless family members, friends and neighbours. In addition to caring for dogs , I was fostering cats for about 8 years. I have adopted out and fostered about 30 cats over that time (one or two at a time), helping them to become accustomed to home life and trustful of humans. Therefore, I can tend to any cats or other pets at your home. Look forward to meeting your fur "baby"! When I am dog or cat sitting your pet would be my number one priority. For dogs I often do one big walk/adventure a day and regular local walks or bathroom breaks for the remaining of the day. Safety is always my number one concern for the animal. With new dogs I'm always cautious around other animals, do not go to off leash dog parks and I keep them leashed up. I currently only do house sitting so the animals are usually comfortable in their environment and they make sure they have plenty of water and food.

I have a green space across from my townhome and have plenty of safe areas to walk dogs. I have a secure balcony where pups can lounge and nap and watch the neighbours.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Oshawa
We recently returned from our vacation and we had booked Holly to live in with our pets and we were so relaxed and worry free knowing Holly was with our munchkins. She checked in with us regularly and was responsive when we reached out to her. We appreciated how attentive she was and thorough in reviewing our guidelines prior to and during our vacation. Thank you again Holly for the ‘peace of mind’!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
