“Melissa and her family were very accommodating with our last minute booking. She showed a lot of patience with our 9-month-old puppy and made us feel more comfortable with leaving him for two nights!”

“Sharai was amazing with my dog! She was patient, caring, and even helped him learn how to confidently use the stairs while in her care. The progress was incredible, and I truly appreciated the updates and attention she gave throughout the stay. I highly recommend Sharai and would happily book with her again!”

“It was so stress free leaving our Ruby with Mandy. We could see how wonderful of a time she was having with Mandy. I will definitely book with Mandy for all of our vacations.”

“We left Stanley in Maya's care for the past 5 days. She was kind and caring and made sure he was well looked after while we were away. Maya's communication was great, so we were very comfortable knowing our little guy was in good hands. We would happily book with Maya again, and highly recommend her to others.”

“We left our three year-old retriever, Nora, with Kripa for three days. This was our first time using Rover and, honestly, I was a little nervous, leaving her with a stranger. We had a first meet and greet and all went well. In fact, I was very happy how Nora played in interacted with her dog. When I dropped Nora off, Iimmediately received photos and videos within an hour. I did not expect this to continue, but I was happy to continually get pictures and updated videos of Nora‘s integration, walks, and life throughout the three days we were away. This made myself and my kids so happy to see that we had made such great of choice of boarding. I would definitely use Kripa again. Her communication and punctuality is outstanding. Her house is very clean and she is very easy to talk with. Thank you again for taking such good care of our fur baby!”

“Julia was able to accommodate even when we need to extend the stay for REMO for multiple times . Thanks will not be enough. REMO had such good care and love throughout the stay .”

“Loran is an excellent dog sitter. Her communication is fantastic. She updated us regularly. We are definetly going to use her again in future. It was the first time we left Qiqi with anyone else so we were all nervous. Qiqi seemed to enjoy herself and was well cared for. Highly recommend Loryn!”

About: Ive had lots of animals over the years. I have 2 teenage children that help me when needed. I have a car incase there is an emergency. “Natalie and Daniel took care of our Bruce for a week. They sent us daily pictures and updates. Although we were missing Bruce, we were able to have a relaxing vacation because we knew that he's in good and capable hands. They took good care of him and gave him lots of love during his stay. Thanks to both of you!”

“Now I don’t have to worry about my dog spark if I am planning any vacations. Yogita and Dibakars space is like second home for Spark 😀. He enjoyed his stay with them. Thanks Dibakar and Yogita taking care of Spark. I am highly recommend Dibakar and Yogita for dog Bording. These guys are so flexible to accommodate your requests.”

“Siddharth and his family took exceptional care of our dog, Chewie, while we were away on a two-week vacation. From the very beginning, we felt completely at ease knowing Chewie was in such loving hands. We received regular updates with photos, and Chewie looked genuinely happy and relaxed in every single one. We were also kept informed about how well he was eating and what his days looked like, which we truly appreciated. One of the biggest signs of how well he was cared for was when we picked Chewie up—he wasn’t overly excited to see us, which honestly said it all. It was clear he felt comfortable, secure, and loved in their home. The photos showed Chewie interacting with all members of the family, including even the tiniest new additions, which was incredibly heartwarming. Siddharth and his family are true dog lovers—possibly even more than we are, which we didn’t think was possible! We couldn’t have asked for a better home for Chewie while we were away, and we would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for loving, attentive care for their dog.”

“I highly recommend Ernst for dog sitting. When I arrived, I could immediately see how kind and calming he was with his dogs and mine. My biggest concern was my dog's safety in someone else's care, but Ernst explained his procedures for keeping all the dogs safe, which gave me great peace of mind. He also kept me updated with messages and pictures of my dog enjoying exercise and relaxing at home. Ernst is soft-spoken and easy to talk to, which made the experience even more enjoyable for both my dog and myself. I will definitely reach out to him again when I need boarding in the future. My dog truly enjoyed the stay with Ernst.”
“Monique is amazing. You can tell that she really loves dogs and will take care of them. I trust Monique with my pet and I don’t worry about leaving him with Monique. Thank you!”
“So thankful for Liliana and her husband who gave my parent’s old kitty a safe loving place to live for 10 days while we got them moved to a new place. They welcomed Miss Zoey into their home and sent me regular photo updates about her well-being. These people are kind, communicative, and reliable. I highly recommend them for your pet-sitting needs.”

“Finding Heather was a stroke of luck! We left our beloved dog with her for three days, and the experience was flawless from start to finish. Knowing our dog suffers from anxiety, we were worried, but Heather proved to be an absolute natural. She showed incredible patience and an immediate understanding of how to make our dog feel secure and happy. The detailed communication was fantastic—we loved getting the messages and pictures! It was clear how much personal attention and love she was giving. If you are looking for a sitter who will treat your dog with genuine affection and provide expert care, look no further! We are incredibly happy with the service and have already planned to return. Highest possible recommendation!”

“We were a bit anxious because we just adopted Twyla a month ago and she was not fully house trained. We had also never used Rover for our other dogs before. Bill and Norma were fantastic with Twyla - lots of walks and activities so she really enjoyed her time with them! We also really appreciated the pics and updates (more than daily).”

Zehra is wonderful, very friendly, caring, and professional. She was also incredibly kind to my dog and took excellent care of him. She kept me updated regularly with photos and activity updates, which gave me great peace of mind. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter.

This is the second time we have asked Shelby to look after our dogs and it has been great. Her house and environment is very similar to our house. She has provided me with h several daily updates and it makes a difference when you are a week away. It has been a great experience and I certainly will consider again for a future boarding need and she is highly recommended

William and Margret were wonderful. You can really tell that they are genuine animal lovers and your dog will be in the best of care while with them. Our dogs are young and quite a handful. Both of them were passed out in the backseat on the way home after their 5 night visit, they for sure had a great time.

Karen was truly an angel on earth while caring for our paralyzed dog, Kai. Leaving our dog in someone else’s care was understandably nerve-wracking, especially given his mobility challenges and medically prescribed daily needs. From the moment we connected with Karen, she put our minds at ease with her compassion, professionalism, and clear love for animals. She was incredibly attentive to all of his care requirements and followed his medical routine with great detail. Karen maintained constant communication throughout the stay and never hesitated to reach out if she had any questions or wanted clarification. That level of diligence meant the world to us. The photo and video updates she sent were far more frequent than we’ve experienced with other boarders, and we genuinely looked forward to each one. Seeing our dog comfortable, happy, and so well cared for gave us tremendous peace of mind. It was clear that Karen cared for our pet as if he were her own. We are so grateful for the love, patience, and dedication she showed. We would trust Karen again without hesitation and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone, especially families with pets who have special medical or mobility needs.

Amanda was super amazing with Mikko. He had such a blast with her the whole day and we could see it in the picture updates she sent us. We totally appreciate Amanda’s communication throughout the day, especially with it being Mikko’s first time with pet sitter. 100% we’ll be going back and Mikko will probably love that.

Boarded our dog Milo with Gabi for 10 days while away on vacation. She is a great care giver and dog lover and we feel so glad to have her for doggie daycare and boarding when needed. She checked in with us by sending photos so we knew Milo was doing well. Gabi was quick to respond when we just missed our pup and wanted an update. Strongly recommend Gabi for any dog sitting needs!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
