“Lily was super accommodating and shared lots of photo of our puppy while we were away. Gracie-May seemed to have lots of fun staying with Lily and co. Many thanks!”

“Kyle was awesome. My two dogs had a great time with Kyle. One of them is usually nervous, but warmed up to Kyle immediately. Highly recommend and will definitely have them stay again.”

“We are so happy to have found Erika! She takes great care of our 19lb doodle and sends lots of photos. She’s super easy to communicate with and is very personable as well.”

“Bruce was SO amazing with our anxious rescue dog Max. We had never left him anywhere and were very nervous. Bruce made the experience extremely easy and sent many pictures and updates throughout the day that put us at ease. The second time we brought Max there he was so excited to see Bruce!! We truly couldn’t recommend him enough!”

“Amazing experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ They took such great care of Zagu and made me feel completely at ease. Super caring, reliable, and attentive. I would absolutely book with them again!”

“I really appreciated the care my precious dog received. I was a last minute holiday booking. Nina was shown warmth, flexibility and compassion. This was visible through the pictures I received daily, videos and the puppy report cards. I will absolutely book again!”

“First time using Rachel C’s services and could not be more pleased. Rachel was helpful on the drop off and pick of our lab and she communicates everyday with great updates. Our lab Milo made some friends and seemed to really enjoy his time visiting at Rachel’s. Strong recommendation for your furry friends.”

“Kayla was absolutely amazing, she’s easy to reach and even though I wasn’t somewhere that would be certain I had service I still got pictures of my babies. This is my first time ever leaving a pet with someone, my kitties are new to the family so I was skeptical. Kayla made it such an easy process that my worries melted away before dropping the girls off. When I went to pick them up my girls were so happy, it was amazing. I will definitely be going to Kayla again for my next cat sitting needs. I highly recommend Kayla to take care of pets and keep them happy and safe.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! Even with all the rain that week, Jomini and her family took wonderful care of our Bella, and made sure she was happy and well cared for. She also sent us pictures throughout the week, which meant so much because we missed Bella so much. We had complete peace of mind knowing Bella was in such caring hands. Thank you for taking such great care of our girl!”

“First thing- Meghan was great! Finn states with her fior 4 nights and I couldn’t have asked for more out of a sitter. She communicated well with us during his stay and is overall a very kind, responsible sitter. I will (and I’m sure Finn) be looking forward to booking with her in the future!”
“Cassandra did an amazing job caring for our 4 year old English bulldog for 8 days. Our bulldog is quite stubborn with several medical conditions and she administered all medications and went above and beyond so we can travel without him for the first time in 4 years. Cassandra sent us daily updates and was very quick to respond to us and helped put our minds at ease while away.”

“My dogs had another great vacation at Elizabeth’s home. They are so well cared for during their stay. They received so much love and attention as well. I 100% recommend Elizabeth to care for your dogs during your vacation. You will be able to relax and enjoy on your vacation knowing they are in the best care. I can’t recommend Elizabeth enough. She is fantastic! Thanks Elizabeth!”

“From the moment we met Rachel we knew she was a true dog lover! Galileo warmed up to her immediately! Rachel sent pics and updates, and I could tell she kept Galileo busy and he felt at home at her place. I am very picky on who I leave our dog with, and I will definitely use Rachel again! Thank you Rachel!”

“Loretta was beyond amazing, we had a previous sitter that did not want to continue to watch Luna and she stepped in and took her in while we were out of state. She returned our 15 year old pup to us with what seems 5 years less, she was happy, bathed and even a little thinner! She was responsive, kind, sent us pictures and so extremely communicative in a good way. We will forever take our dogs to Loretta’s house for any weekend or trip away! Thanks Loretta Luna loves you! Xoxo”

About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember and grew up in a family that always had dogs. Caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. We currently have Bailey, our sweet and gentle Bernese Mountain Dog, as well as a Ragdoll cat, Jades who is also very much part of our family. I love spending time with animals, whether it’s going for walks, visiting the dog park, playing outside, or simply giving them plenty of attention and affection at home. I’m comfortable around dogs of different sizes and personalities and generally connect with them very easily. Our pets are treated like family, and I would care for your pet with the same patience, attention, and kindness I give my own. I work from home most days, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your pet throughout the day. I’m available for walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of attention and companionship. I’m also available on weekends and can be flexible based on your pet’s normal routine and needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort are very important to me. We have a gentle and friendly Bernese Mountain Dog named Bailey and a Ragdoll cat at home, and our pets are truly part of our family. I always take the time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, feeding schedule, and individual needs. I provide plenty of supervision, attention, walks, playtime, and a loving, comfortable environment so your pet can feel at home while in my care.
“I can't say enough great things about Jonathan and the care he provides for my two babies Louie and Chase. Like many pet owners, my babies mean the world to me and it takes a lot for me to trust someone with them. Jonathan cares for my dogs as if they were his own. He is extremely professional, responsible, and caring. His scheduling system is very easy to use and he provides very personalized care easy to reach and gives updates after her visits. He is very flexible and reliable and has made my life much easier. I highly recommend Jonathan to anyone looking for a dog sitting service.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
