“I can't say enough great things about Jonathan and the care he provides for my two babies Louie and Chase. Like many pet owners, my babies mean the world to me and it takes a lot for me to trust someone with them. Jonathan cares for my dogs as if they were his own. He is extremely professional, responsible, and caring. His scheduling system is very easy to use and he provides very personalized care easy to reach and gives updates after her visits. He is very flexible and reliable and has made my life much easier. I highly recommend Jonathan to anyone looking for a dog sitting service.”

“We couldn’t be happier with our experience having Erika watch our dog, Gotham, for the week! She took amazing care of him and treated our furbaby like her own. Erika stayed in touch the entire time, sending pictures and updates that gave us such peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that Gotham was happy, comfortable, and well-loved. We highly recommend Erika to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter! 🐾❤️”

“Devon and his wife were delightful and responsive when we needed boarding for our two fur babies. They provided plenty of updates, pictures, and were very lovely to interact with. We will absolutely be asking them again to help us whenever we need and highly recommend them for all your pet sitting needs. Thank you!”

“What a wonderful stay and experience! Hazard is super friendly and very detail oriented. She’s very responsive with communication as well. We had a meet and greet before hand and the first stay for my pups couldn’t have been better! My dogs really enjoyed their time at Hazard’s house. We received lots of photos and videos. And we loved the report card at the end of the day! Thank you! We have another booking set already!”

“Rusa and her family were so wonderful to our doggy. Our dog has had anxiety with previous boarders but she became so comfortable with Rusa and her family very quickly. Rusa also gave daily updates with photos, even cleaned our doggy’s eyes, and put booties on her paws when it snowed to protect her from the salt in streets. She was very communicative and trustworthy. Highly recommend.”

“Kayla was amazing with Dexter! She took him to the park and pond, sent me the cutest photos of my boy and played with him a lot. When I picked him up he was tired out and ready for bed. Kayla is great with active dogs, will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Catherine was wonderful with Josie, she attended to every one of her needs and treated her like the true diva that she is! She gave her her drops, her eye drops three times a day on schedule, sent me pictures and videos. I was hoping Josie would a still wanna come home with me and not stay with Catherine.!!!Sue w.”

“First thing- Meghan was great! Finn states with her fior 4 nights and I couldn’t have asked for more out of a sitter. She communicated well with us during his stay and is overall a very kind, responsible sitter. I will (and I’m sure Finn) be looking forward to booking with her in the future!”
“Andrea is such a loving dog sitter for my two dogs. We really enjoy the pictures she sends and feel the dogs are safe and in good hands while we were away for a week.”

About: I currently own two dogs a mini Australian Shepard and a cocker spaniel. But, my family is a huge dog loving family and I have also owned labs, retrievers, and collies. I have a fenced backyard with a doggy door that holds about an acre of land and I live on a very quiet road with hiking trails across from my house that I bring my dogs into all the time! I’m work 3 times a week at Ridgewood Country Club in Danbury. I can leave during my breaks to tend to your pets. If they are staying at my home I have a doggy door and fenced in backyard. And then the remainder of the week I am free! I have a doggy door inside my home with a fenced in backyard for the 3 days I can’t be at home all day long. All other days I would love to take the dogs hiking and make sure they have a great time! I do own two dogs that are very friendly. But they can also be seperated into my basement if other dog is not friends with them. I also have a lot of experience with cat sitting my neighbors cats.
“Christina was extremely attentive to the dogs, their needs and welfare. She took great care of them and was very flexible as our plans changed after booking. We plan to use her again.”

“Bruce is an excellent sitter. He was so attentive to my fur baby’s needs. His communication and pictures was top notch. I highly recommend him to sit for any of your pets. Wish I could give him more stars but only 5 are allowed. Will definitely have Bruce sit for my dog again!”

“Anner took wonderful care of our English lab and King Charles Cavalier for a week while we were traveling - he was very responsive and took great care of them. They came home bathed and brushed, looking better than when we dropped them off. We'll be reaching out again next time we need coverage for our pups!”

“Our second time leaving our dog with Elizabeth and everything went so smooth. It is a great comfort knowing he is being taken such good care of. We will be leaving him again soon! Thank you Elizabeth!”

“We have booked with Madison several times for our pups. Madison has been amazing with Holly and Murray every time they have stayed with her. She’s super reliable and really loves our pups, so we always know they're in good hands. Highly recommend her!”

“Marie was so wonderful to Madison (!!!!). Although I was far away, they kept me updated with pictures and texts along the way. I appreciate all that Marie does and couldn't ask for a better sitter.”

“Right from the meet and great I just knew Rachel was a sincere animal lover. She responded to me right away when I sent a request for her to watch our 10month old pup. She set up a meet and greet to make sure we were a good fit. She explained her services and how the day would go should she watch my dog. I felt complete trust dropping my pup off for the very first time with someone outside of the family. Her calming presence , knowledge of animals and training have made us at feel at ease and will definitely use her again in the future.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - New Fairfield
Sarah was perfect for Fern! We felt she knew how to give Fern the attention she needed. We loved that she has her own dog, Otto, who liked her upon the first meeting. They became good friends and we hope to have play dates in the future. Next time we want a getaway without our fur baby, we know who to call.
Sarah is an all star! On top of being compassionate and capable she provided reliable pick up and drop off service. Throughout his stay, I knew my pup was safe, loved and happy thanks to the photo and video updates. While it’s hard to leave my pup, it was a huge relief to know he was enjoying his hiking adventures and cuddle time. Thanks again, Sarah, we will be back!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
