“Emily is sweet and loving. She clearly loves animals and our two pups love her. Emily is dependable and prompt and quickly responds. We are planning to have her back on regular schedule.”

About: I have taken care of multiple relatives dogs for as long as I can remember. I was responsible for feeding them (whether it was regular dog food or a special concoction), taking them out for walks, giving them pets and taking them to the park. I have mainly taken care of older dogs, but they were big and energetic! I also have grown up with a cats, Guinea pigs, fish and hermit crabs at one point! I’m currently a full time college student, but I have room in my schedule to take care of your animals and give them all the love and play they need! Growing up with animals, I am very receptive on how to take care of them. I have dog sat for multiple people and I have had cats my whole life! I will make sure your pet is comforted and well cared for in your home and I will make sure no harm comes to your animal or house.
“Aliya was very conscientious and attentive to the kitties. She was here every day, checked on the cats, fed them and checked their litter boxes. We would definitely have Aliya cat sit for our babies again in the future.”

About: Growing up, I had a Lab and then a Boxer and two cats. I've also helped my aunt at the doggie daycare she runs out of her home where she often has more than 10 dogs at a time. Everything from a Great Pyrenees to German Shepherds to Doodles to Yorkies. And it's always so much fun! The care I'll give your pets will really depend on them and their needs. There's a very large unfenced grass area behind my apartment building that would be perfect for walks or play. And there are multiple parks in the area too we could explore. At yours, I'd keep whatever their normal routine is. Whether that's taking walks, throwing the ball or just sitting and chilling and scratching butts. Their butts of course! About: Hello! My name is Nita, and I’m a lifelong animal lover who would be delighted to care for your pets as if they were my own. Over the years, I’ve had experience caring for dogs, cats, birds, fish, guinea pigs, and even mice. Our beloved Border Collie, Jasmine, was part of our family for 12 wonderful years, and she gave us countless happy memories. I also regularly cared for my grand dog a sweet Lab mix, Benny. I currently share my home with our spirited lovebird, Gourdon Loveblossom, who is 3½ years old. We even had a goldfish named Goldie who recently passed away amazingly at 23 years old! I’m also a proud “grand-cat” sitter for HB and Kenny in Monroe. They especially enjoy being pushed around the neighborhood in their stroller on beautiful days. I walk a minimum of 10,000 steps every day and would truly enjoy having furry companions join me for walks and outdoor time. Whether your pet needs exercise, companionship, feeding, stroller walks, playtime, or simply gentle loving care while you’re away, I would be happy to help. I understand that every animal has its own personality, routines, and comfort needs, and I always aim to make pets feel safe, relaxed, and loved. I look forward to meeting you and your wonderful pets! I have a part time voiceover and photo businesses that I run from my home in Roxbury. I frequently care for my children's pets. I am reliable and punctual, I prefer to live in the same area nearby to my clients. I like to keep my pet care visits in a 10-ish mile radius of my home. This enables me to get to them fast without worrying about traffic, distance or delays.
“Anne is so good with my older dog. He is very protective of the house, but she knew is barking was all just noise. She knows he loves to do puzzles and set it up for him and sent pictures of him having a great time. He is fussy with mid-day walks and she listened to him when he said he would rather go back into the aircondioning.”

“Saori took exceptionally good care of our cats and dog while we were traveling. Each visit was well documented and our pets were shown lots of attention and love. Saori kept us updated on anything unexpected while we were away and communicated extremely well throughout our trip! I feel so lucky to have found such a reliable pet sitter and would absolutely recommend her.”

“Isabelle is a special caregiver. We hired her. To help care for our 2 German Shepherds, one of which is recovering from brain surgery to remove a tumor. With that, her and her partner have provided amazing care and shown love , compassion and patience to our guy. I highly recommend her if you need someone to provide that extra level of support.”

About: I'm currently volunteering at Whiskers Cat Rescue cleaning cages and socializing cats. I am comfortable administering medications to cats. I have owned a small dog in the past. My current cats are a wobbly boy with Cerebellar Hypoplasia and a super senior (21yrs!) old lady cat. My schedule is really flexible right now. I'm not free a few times through the week and weekend but for no longer than a few hours. I'm very patient with animals, especially more skittish ones. You need to work with them even if it takes time to develop a relationship or trust.
“I'm very pleased with Tori. She cared for my two dogs for a couple of days. I found her to be very responsible, communicative on-time and loving towards my fir babies. My doggies were in good hands and I highly recommend her services.”
About: I’ve had a family dog for almost all of my life, I also used to work at a doggie daycare and currently work at a vet hospital. I’ve taken care of dogs for multiple friends!! I love dogs of all breeds and size, but I choose to watch one at a time so I can give all my attention to your fur baby! I work part time so I can watch dogs Sunday, Wednesday, or Saturday! I can do boarding for most dogs as long as they come with sleeping arrangements. I have a huge backyard with a gated pool and a pretty big front yard as well. When taking care of other dogs I have a super long rope I tie them up to so they can run freely because we don’t have any fences.
About: I've had cats my entire life & I have a few years experience pet sitting for and walking dogs and would love for it to become a regular part of my life again. I enjoy spending time with animals sometimes more than people. I'm a college student and a caregiver currently so feel free to reach out with questions about availability. I have a constantly changing schedule and I may be available more than what's marked here. I take care of my own 2 cats daily, and I'd love to take care of more pets in between my work hours or on my days off. I've been in an environment with animals as long as I can remember feeding them, scooping litter boxes, and my favorites giving love, and playing.
“Rachel recently completed drop in visits for my 2 dogs and my cat. This was a repeat booking and I was equally as satisfied as with my initial booking! She is reliable, caring and extremely trustworthy. I highly recommend her!!”

“Annmarie was incredibly nice and communicative while she took care of my cats. This was so appreciated while I was out of state! I felt relieved to know my pets were being so well cared for.”

About: I’ve always loved animals and grew up with 3 dogs and 5 cats. I’ve also owned a dog and currently help care for my aunt’s diabetic cat, including giving him insulin twice a day. I’m responsible, caring, and dependable, and I would treat your pets like they were my own. I’d love the opportunity to care for your furry family members! 🐾❤️ I work full-time as a paraeducator for Danbury Public Schools from 8 AM–3 PM. I’m available after work and would love to provide loving, reliable care for your pets in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends. 🐾 I’m happy to care for your pets in my home or in your home, depending on what works best for you and your pet. I’ll follow your pet’s usual routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and lots of love and attention. My goal is to make your pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away.
“Caroline is the absolute best. Another sitter cancelled last minute and she was able to step in. She sent SO many pictures and videos of our cats which we loved, we always worry when we’re away and knew after the first day that they were in good hands. She was super communicative and overall the exact type of sitter we’d want. We will absolutely be using her again!”

Sam was absolutely wonderful while watching my cat, Leo. She came by both in the morning and at night to feed him, play with him, and clean his litter box. She even helped me with a small favor around the house, which I really appreciated. She was great—reliable, caring, and attentive. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sit

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
