About: 4 years of experience working at a veterinarian office and lifetime pet owner with no current pets. Let me care for your pet like I cared for mine. Work from home, single adult with no children or pets(yet🤣) able to walk local with lots of parks and trails if longer walks are desired. Two level condominium so stairs are required unless smaller and I can pick up to go out, able to give medications, baths, nails and lots and lots of love.
About: Our family loves our pets, and I'll love yours too while you are away. My husband and I adopted our first black Lab in 2001, when she was eight years old. She was our first baby. Since that time, in addition to raising our human family, we have added many furry, finned, and feathered members to our home. While my ten-year-old Havanese is my "Best Boy;" I am "House Mom" to the other pets in our family. I love the time in the day I spend with my pets and look forward to spreading that love to other animals as I have more free time now that my kids are growing up. Having my own pets, I know it is hard to leave town. It's essential to find someone who is responsible, thoughtful, honest, and gentle to watch over them. I look forward to meeting with you and your pets to help alleviate your concerns. I am a stay-at-home parent, to older children, so my schedule is very flexible. I look forward to working with you to create a schedule that supports everyone! I believe in the Golden Rule. I will care for your pet(s) just as I would expect someone to care for mine. Before scheduling our first pet sitting appointment, I would like to meet with you and your pet in order to understand your pets' schedules and needs. If I am visiting your pets at your home, is there anything small I can help you with? Maybe you want your trash bins brought in, or your mail picked up?
“Rose and Michael took great care of our 10 month old cavapoo. They sent lots of pictures and updates during his 3 day stay. We will definitely be using them again.”

“Highly recommend! My baby was well taken care of! Tinaclem was super friendly. When we arrived she introduced her dog with mine and brought them both to the back yard so she can get familiar with the yard and was very welcoming! Many walks and lots of pics for updates! ❤️My baby was pooped for days! She already misses Elvis! Sweet dog she has!”

About: Hi! My name is Haley and I am 26 years old. I grew up in New Milford, CT and moved to NC for school. I just recently moved back to New Milford after completing my Master’s at UNCW. North Carolina was where I joined Rover and fell in love with the opportunity to help the local area with pet care! I love all animals! I have an 8 year old boxer mix named Koby and a 5 year old golden retriever named Miloh. We spend our days at the beach, park, eating treats, playing tug of war, speaking the doggy language, and cuddling of course! I have grown up around pets my entire life and could not imagine a life without them. I will follow your daily routine the closest I can and apply the discipline you enforce with your dog on a daily basis. I will make sure the experience your dog has is fun, targeted to their specific needs, and give your dog the love and affection you would to make them as comfortable as possible. My goal is to make your dog feel loved and make sure they are happy the entire time they spend with me. I love all dogs, big or small, and enjoy creating relationships with them. I would love to meet your furry best friend and if they are good with other dogs, I would love to bring my little fur babies around for some good fun and exercise. Whatever you need I am there and willing to work around not only the needs of your pet but you as well! I currently am working full time at my home. I have a flexible work schedule and would be able to step out multiple times a day to take care of your pet! I will follow whatever routine you feel is best for your pet / pets while you are away! I have been doing this a long time and have seen it all when it comes to the preferences people have on the care of their pets. No request is too much when it comes to our pets! I currently work from home and have plenty of free time on my hands. I am very flexible and open to helping however I can! I have grown up around pets and have had both of my dogs since they were puppies. They have been up and down the east coast with me during every trip home, move, etc. They are my best friends. Your best friend will be treated exactly how I would want someone to treat mine if I was away!
About: I've been working at an animal hospital for 20+ years and have been managing the grooming and boarding facility there for 15+ years. I have worked with cats and all ages, temperaments, and breeds of dogs. Besides the professional experience, I have always loved animals, lived with family dogs and cats my entire life, and am well suited for caring for your pets, too! My husband has been a dog dad for 15+ years (and a bird dad as well) and has over a decade of professional experience with dogs in the boarding and grooming section of an animal hospital. Between the two of us, at least one of us is home every day - we would love to provide a home away from home for your pet! Our goal is to provide the most compassionate, safe, and responsible care for your pet. Our house is set back from the road on 100+ acres of conservation land where we can hike and explore with your dog. Our house is roomy and comfortable, and we strive to provide whatever your dog needs. We also value enrichment for pets - we hope your dog will learn, grow, and be stimulated while with us. We also live right next door to my father, who is a veterinarian and available for any questions we might have. We have a new addition to our family and welcomed in a baby boy in June 2025. Since then, we are accepting new clients with smaller dogs and sometimes larger dogs if they are older or laid back. We do have a soft spot for our older guests and love to keep them comfortable and pampered. We live in a one story house, so there are minimal steps. We try to mimic your own schedule at home. And one of us is home every day so we're able to provide the best care possible. We have a small fenced in area outside our front door, mostly for safety in coming in and out of the house. Outside of that area, I leash walk your dogs (until we have a larger fenced in area). We have gates inside to give dogs their own space if/when they want it. If you pet is more comfortable in a crate during bedtimes or short times alone, we can provide that as well. We are diligent regarding medication, feeding instructions, and medical concerns. We also will keep you up to date on how the stay is going and welcome you to reach out anytime.

“We've had a wonderful experience with Valerie; she is sweet and very attentive to us and our puppy. Her home is very welcoming to pets. She sends photos and videos throughout the day, and we see what a great time our Lily is having with her dog Henry. Looking forward to another stay.”

“Rachel was amazing with our deaf pup, Hazel! She was so communicative and made us feel comfortable. Hazel had a wonderful time at daycare! Would recommend Rachel to everyone!”

“My dog, Luna, had a great day at Kyle’s. He’s got a great setup for pups to play inside and out, and he clearly understands dogs well and is able to give them great care. Luna is very nervous around new people, and Kyle was able to attend to her needs and made sure she was comfortable during her stay. Will definitely be back.”

“Moby had a great time! Thank you so much for being so caring and loving! We really appreciate the flexibility as well! We hope to bring Moby back to play with the girls soon! ~ Yuki & Jeremy”

About: I am a mom to three human children, three dogs, and three horses. When my kids were younger, my "me time" was spent volunteering for various rescues and shelters. I love taking care of animals and found so much satisfaction helping out those poor little creatures who had no home to call their own! I loved it so much that I decided to start my own 501c3 nonprofit animal rescue! I figured that in doing so, I could help on a way bigger scale! Additionally, I could put more efforts in to helping people through the love of animals in need! Making the adoption process easy and fun, and making sure the humans and the pets are a wonderful match have made my rescue quite successful! Over the past 11 years I have rescued thousands of dogs, hundreds of cats, and three horses from shelters and other high risk situations! Throughout my years of taking care of pets, I have care for basically every age, breed, size, and temperament! I have also provided care on just about every level...from administering meds, IV treatments, vaccines, basic grooming, and basic training/behavior modifications. I joined Rover because I want to continue helping animals and support pet owners who need someone they can truly trust. I understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, comfortable, and cared for like family while you’re away. Being able to provide that peace of mind is something I take seriously. Every pet has unique needs, routines, and personalities. My goal is to provide consistent, attentive care while maintaining the structure and comfort your pet is used to. I also prioritize clear communication so you always feel confident and informed while your pet is in my care. My schedule has a lot of flexibility, and I am a full-time caregiver for these sweet babies! I will always do my best to be available for you and your furry family members! Pets in my home have my full supervision, and when I am unable to have my eye on them, they are either crated or in their own safe space! Our yard is fully fenced!
About: I've had pets since I was a kid. Most recent we've had our current dog for a little over 2 years since he was 8 weeks old. Our kids love dogs and would love a second but we just don't have room full time for another dog so pet sitting is another great way to have an extra pet for a short period. I currently work part-time so I'm home throughout the day so pets are not alone for long. Just for trips to the store or dr. appts. I have a home with an unfenced yard. we do have a runner for our dog when he likes to be outside. We have a quiet street so can do easy walks when needed. We do prefer dogs that are not too hyper as we do have kids. Our dog is crate trained when needed but has free roam in our home so he can come up and get cuddles while watching TV or chill out on his bed. If dogs are not house trained we would prefer a crate. If they are small enough we do have our crate that our dog does not use on a consistent basis. Our dog is super exitable and crazy at first but is loveable and friendly to other dogs and cats.
About: I've owned and cared for 9 dogs throughout my life, ranging from tiny Maltese and other small breeds to large Saint Bernard's. Every dog I've had has been treated like family, and I bring that same level of love, patience, and care to every pet I look after. Whether it's playtime, walks, feeding, or cuddles, I'll care for your pet as if they were my own. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, playtime, and supervision throughout the day. I have a pup of my own, and we stay active with daily walks, outdoor time, and enrichment activities. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in or regular walks, I can adjust my schedule to meet their needs and keep them comfortable, happy, and well cared for. How I care for your pet depends entirely on how you'd like me to support them and what makes them most comfortable. In my home, pets are treated like family and receive lots of attention, exercise, and affection. While I do not have a fenced-in yard, all outdoor time is supervised, and dogs will be leash-walked unless they have a proven, reliable recall. I am also happy to follow your pet's existing routines, feeding schedules, training preferences, and any special care instructions in either my home or yours.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Bridgewater commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
