About: I've been a long-time cat-person who also has experience adopting a rescue dog and raising her from her puppy years to old age - I'm knowledgeable about training, medication administration, and handling reactive or nervous pets. I've been a pet sitter and house sitter for many years, and would love to support you and your family in your pet care needs. I'm an academic librarian new to NOVA with work from home flexibility. Over the month of December, I have extended time off for the holidays and will be staying in the area. I've been a pet and house sitter and feel confident about coming to your space and paying attention to the details that matter to keep your pet healthy, happy, and safe. I live in an apartment complex and have a cat myself, which I imagine folks will take into consideration in case they want to leave their pet with me.

My sweet Australian cattle dog was reactive and high-energy, so I am familiar with training and walking those types of smart dogs. I also have a soft spot for seniors who want to move at their own pace and just want love and attention. I want to help make your life easier and make sure your pets are happy while you're away, I know how much that peace of mind matters when you're away from your babies! I work remote from home so my schedule is pretty flexible! I may have meetings during the week that I can't move, but if time off day for drop-ins or walks is flexible on your side, I can find a time that works. I'd prefer to always do a meet and greet first to know where everything is if I need it -- from leashes and toys to cleaning supplies and emergency contact and vet numbers.

I love walks and allow plenty of sniffing time. I can adapt to your pet’s sleep routine, whether that is crating or sleeping with their humans. Whatever makes them most comfortable.
