“Paul was great with our senior dog! He was very patient with her on their walks. He was also quick to respond and kept us updated each day. Will definitely use him again!”

About: 10+ years of experience with cats and dogs, and a lifelong pet parent myself. I'm big into daily walks and believe every pet deserves exercise, attention, and love like they're my own. I have a full-time job but work on a set schedule. I am flexible and could be accommodating. My current job requires attention to detail, so your fur babies are in good hands. Right now I have two cats who are very well cared for and are up to date with all of their medical needs. I have had dogs in the past and they were very well taken care of as well.
“Adriana took care of our pups when we decided to take an impromptu trip out of the country! Her calm and warm demeanor made us feel totally at ease while abroad because we knew the gals were in the best of hands! She even left us the cutest note and Polaroids which will now be framed! Cannot wait to use her services again — she was truly a godsend.”

“I'm so happy Jackson was available to walk my dog while I was gone. He was very responsive and reliable. He sent detailed info after each walk, including pictures. I was worried about having to leave my dog but Jackson's messages and reliability made me feel much better. He was on time and followed the things we had discussed in terms of feeding, walking time, treats, etc.”

“Asher has been the best Rover experience I’ve ever had for one of my pets. He’s punctual, attentive, and truly cares for your pets like they are his own. Asher goes above and beyond for my girl, Rue. I just adopted her a couple months ago, so she is still getting used to her new environment. Asher is so patient and kind, and he gives me a thorough report every day as to how she does. I can’t recommend Asher enough! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Erin was phenomenal! She was available last minute which was a lifesaver. She was absolutely wonderful with my dog and gave a very detailed report which helped ease my anxiety.”

About: I'm the trusted friend everyone relies on to look after their dogs and I love it! From puppies to seniors, your paws are in good hands. Flexible schedule for boarding and daycare in my home. Or, I'm happy to house sit while you're traveling so your pup can stay in their home. Safety is paramount, and your fur baby and home are my priorities. I live in a very dog-friendly community surrounded by walking trails and dog parks. However, if napping is your pup's priority, my couch is theirs!
“Charlotte was amazing and took good care of our Badger (1yr rat terrier) when she took her for two daily walks while we were out of town. She was very communicative the whole time and sent plenty of photos and gave us any updates. She also took the time to come meet us the week before so she could get acquainted with Badger and our place. I can’t recommend her enough!”

About: I’ve lived with all kinds of dogs from Danes and Wolfhounds to Australian Shepherds and GSPs even a couple chihuahuas so I’ve seen it all and love all dogs! I’m totally comfortable walking and taking care of reactive and nervous dogs as well. I’m freelance for my main job so I have a lot of free time to give your pets the attention and steps they need during the day! I’m happy to make sure I’m following your instructions exactly as you set them to keep your pets as comfortable and happy as possible when I am with them!
“Thomas was so quick to respond to every question, and very flexible. Our big girl is nervous, but Thomas did a wonderful job gaining her trust and was so patient with her. Will definitely book again!”

“Nathan has been walking my dog, Obi, consistently 3 days per week for two weeks and has done a great job! He was patient with my initially skeptical dog and Obi has come to trust him and enjoys their walks! I recommend Nathan's services if you are looking for a dog walker or other support with your dog.”

“Cait took such great care of my dog, Zelda. I had long work hours and I felt relieved knowing Zelda was getting great mental and physical exercise with Cait! She provided thoughtful updates and checked in on any additional needs for my pup. I can't thank her enough!”

“Wonderful job walking my dog midday by Elizabeth. She is great with my dog. He instantly liked her. She sent me updates and followed my instructions. Already booked another walk with her.”

About: I've been a long-time cat-person who also has experience adopting a rescue dog and raising her from her puppy years to old age - I'm knowledgeable about training, medication administration, and handling reactive or nervous pets. I've been a pet sitter and house sitter for many years, and would love to support you and your family in your pet care needs. I'm an academic librarian new to NOVA with work from home flexibility. Over the month of December, I have extended time off for the holidays and will be staying in the area. I've been a pet and house sitter and feel confident about coming to your space and paying attention to the details that matter to keep your pet healthy, happy, and safe. I live in an apartment complex and have a cat myself, which I imagine folks will take into consideration in case they want to leave their pet with me.
About: Lifelong dog guardian available to care for your dog(s) in your absence. Thanks to years of fostering and pet sitting, in addition to having my own dogs, I have experience with all sizes and breeds of dogs, medicating both dogs and cats, training, deaf dogs, walking difficult and reactive dogs, using enrichment toys for dogs and cats, and feeding resource guarders. I've taken a course in canine first aid (2019). I have a dog of my own, Aristaios, who loves everyone and everything. He's sweet natured, non-destructive, respectful of other dogs' boundaries, and potty trained. He's a happy, friendly, playful boy who will help me keep your dog(s) company so they don't miss you too much. This is a value-add for most dogs, even dogs who don't play. If your dogs don't like other dogs, I'm not the pet sitter for you. I've had an array of dogs over the course of my life--a shepherd, spaniels, mutts, a hound--but now I have silly and sweet Aristaios, an Australian Cattle Dog mix. I've fostered countless dogs for various rescues, too. I love training; I love seeing their brains fire up and bring light to their eyes as new words and actions click into place. I love watching them explore this weird world. Snuggles and playtime are pretty great, too, and I'm not above a dog vs. human wrestling match. I'm happy to answer any questions you have about my availability and experience, as well as questions about Aristaios. FOR DOG WALKS: I am available for 25- to 60-minute walks seven days/week. Let me know what your dog or dogs need, and we'll figure it out from there. (My dog will not join dog walks.) I was recently laid off, and I am job-hunting, alpha reading a novel my friend wrote, and perhaps writing a book of my own. I'm "home" most of the time, though I do have occasional appointments and other activities that require my in-person presence. I'm happy to discuss your dog's special needs with you if they cannot be left alone for more than a few hours at a time. Depending on your dog's (or dogs') usual schedule, we'll wake up, have breakfast, take a walk, and then I'll keep an eye on your pup while I apply for jobs. Hopefully, my pup and yours will enjoy some playtime, and we'll have a midday potty break. In the late afternoon or evening, we'll take another walk, have dinner and enjoy some play time and/or snuggle time. We'll take another potty break before bed. How the fine details of that plan emerge depend wholly on your dog, where you live, and what your preferences are. Additional information: All animals in your home must be included in the Rover booking. I house sit, and I selectively allow dogs to stay in my own home. I do not do drop-ins for the same fee as housesitting or in-home boarding, and I do not adjust my house sitting fee for a cat-only household. We can discuss the more expensive rate for drop-in service, if that is your preference.

Jessica was amazing with Percy! She took him on a great walk, sent lots of photos, and kept me updated the entire time. I really appreciated the communication and could tell she genuinely enjoyed spending time with him. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such caring hands. I would absolutely book Jessica again and highly recommend her!

Keyla was an absolute delight! I can tell both my dog and my cat truly enjoyed her presence. She managed my handful of a high-energy mutt with ease, communicated well, sent great photos, and took perfect care of my home as well. I will definitely book her again in the future! My pup is going to sleep so well after his run with Keyla!

Kate went above and beyond for my dog Frida! When she arrived to take her on a walk, she found Frida had made a mess in the crate and having tummy problems. Kate stayed over an hour and actually met me at the vet with Frida. I cannot say enough good things about Kate. She is such a kind and understanding caretaker for our sick puppy! Thank you Kate!!

We are so lucky that we met Abbey! She saved us last minute when our original dog walker fell through, now she’ll be our go to! She was very easy to communicate with and our dog just loved her. We don’t see him cuddle up next to many walkers like he did with her. Thank you for being awesome !

Robert was our walker for more than 3 years, and we never once had any issues with his service. In fact he frequently went above and beyond, offering to help monitor minor medical issues we were treating during his walks, placing packages inside our apartment when we weren't home to grab them during the day, and handling last minute emergency requests when they came up. Plus, both our pets adored him. 10/10, would recommend to anyone, and we are sad we can't keep him on now that we have moved.
