“Hilary is fantastic! She sends wonderful photos and leaves great notes on Josie. She is communicative, reliable, and came to help when I needed her last minute. Highly recommend!”

About: As a pet-owner and rover-user myself, I know how important it is to have someone you can trust take care of your pets when you aren't available. I am passionate about giving dogs happy highlights to each and every day, and I love to play with them and take them on long walks to sniff and enjoy the outdoors. As a work-from-home employee, I am often free during work hours to pay your pet a visit or take them on a nice walk to help break up the day while you are away! I can be free on evenings and weekends as well, and would be happy to spend time playing with your pet and giving them happy moments each and every day while they wait for you to return. My dog loves to play indoors, which means I am extra vigilant that the house is safe for him should he get zoomies and run around the furniture. I would be careful to provide that safe environment for your dog as well, in your home or mine.
“Charlotte did a great job checking on our needy kitty Malone! She gave him all the attention and love he needs. We will definitely be using her again!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs all my life and I’m looking forward to taking care of yours. I have a dog of my own who is a 28lb mini labradoodle. She's super sweet and social, and part of the reason I like to dog sit is because she likes having a buddy around to play with. I work from home every day so Sage and I will be with your dog all day! I live in an apartment building but I am near a walking trail and dog park. I work from home so I'll be home during day! In case I have to run out for errands I would like to know how you board your dog when you're away. I will be available if you have any questions/concerns. **Please ensure that your dog comes fully groomed/clean!** I take my dog on a long walk once in the morning (8 am) and once in the afternoon (5:30 pm) with a short potty break mid day and right before bed. I can adjust my schedule to ensure your dog feels comfortable! If I go to a dog park but I typically go early in the mornings or mid day when it is empty. If you don’t want your dog at a dog park at all that’s 100% fine with me!
“Shane was absolutely wonderful and took great care of our cat. We were gone for two weeks and he came over every day at the time we requested and stayed for the amount of time he said he would. Sent us pictures everyday and took care of all our cat’s needs. Will use again when we go out of town.”

“It was great working with Tia! She’s prompt in responding, provides updates with pictures and was very patient and kind with my pup. I greatly appreciate the extra care you gave her. I will definitely reach out again in the future for a drop in visit. Thank you so much, Tia!”

“Yulia went above and beyond while taking care of my cat, Pico. I highly recommend her and would love for her to care for him again! Thank you so much, Yulia!!”

“Thomas went above and beyond with our girls! He spent lots of time playing/petting, sent great pictures and gave thorough reports. All of this gave us peace of mind that they were in good hands while we were out of the country. I’d highly recommend him!”

“Erin did an awesome job with our cat Mipha! She communicated clearly with me and provided great updates and photos. Mipha was very happy when we got back and we look forward to working with Erin again in the future.”

“Just did a meet and greet with Jhonny. He was great. Very communicative with quick responses. It was last minute that I reached out to him and he was flexible in being able to make time right away. Chunk loved him too. Definitely looking forward to working with him in the near future.”

“Julie was absolutely fantastic! She braved the snowstorm to take care of Trigger while I was away on a work trip. Her report cards were detailed, and you can tell she really took great care of him. Additionally, my HVAC fuse blew during my trip, and Julie noticed and mentioned the temperature in the home before the issue was even known. That attention to detail was greatly appreciated and allowed me to tackle the problem the minute I got home during the freezing temperatures.”

“Alexandra was dependable and had great communication! She watched our 2 cats for 5 days and made us feel at ease leaving the cats in her care. She did a great job - thank you!”

“Nicole is a wonderful dog walker. You can tell she really cares about your pet. She is also very reliable - always shows up and is very communicative via the app. Shelby enjoyed her walks/runs with Nicole!”

“Abbey was great with our two kitties! She's very responsive, handled oral medication, and dealt with a few logistical hurdles with lots of grace. Would highly recommend!”

“It has been so great having Allison to drop in on our dogs during the day! She is consistent and communicative. It definitely is a weight off our shoulders knowing the dogs get some play time while we are at work.”

About: I’ve taken care of pets owned by family and friends for over 10years. Specially experienced taking care of senior dogs and cats (meds, special diet) I’m the person who says hi to any dog walking on the street. I took a training course to help anxious dogs. Be sure I’ll take care of your pet as of my own and will send you many pics. Fresh water bowls, refresh litter boxes, food, plays, treats, you name it. I’m near old town Alexandria and while I navigate a career transition (ex federal contractor), I’ll be very happy to take care of your furry babies. I can do overnight stays, or walk them through the day. I love walking and I’ll be happy to take your pup for a walk, play with them, treats, and praise them. I don’t sit on my place as I have a beautiful 13yo cocker spaniel. If you could see my dog, you would know that I’m an animal lover. I have a 13yo cocker spaniel and I know how important is to have someone that takes good care of our pets. I don’t do overnight on my place or bring my dog with me when taking care of another pet. I’ll always walk your dog with a leash, pay attention they don’t eat something they shouldn’t eat on the street, give them their meds, fresh bowl of water, play, praise them for being good pets. I’ll send you photos of your pet to keep you updated.

Potomac Yard-Potomac Greens pet parents share their Rover experiences
Andrea was wonderful. This was our first time leaving our puppy for an extended period, and she made us feel comfortable enough to actually enjoy a night out. She was flexible with our fluctuating schedule and kind in every interaction. Our puppy loved her, and the ample updates and pictures showed it—they became friends fast, and our pup was always excited to see her come through the door. A great experience all around. We’ll be booking with Andrea for anything we need going forward.

Ann was an incredible pet sitter. She was well-organized, always kept us informed about our cat's status, and consistently went above and beyond to ensure our cat had a positive experience. If I ever need a pet sitter, I will definitely go with Ann again, and I could not recommend her more.

Abbey was great! She sent us timely updates about our two cats, which helped us so much while missing our pets when out of town. She also took the time every time she visited to go above and beyond to play with them and spend quality time. As two very social cats, it was much appreciated. When we returned home, you could tell they were happy and loved while we were gone. Will definitely be using Abbey again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to watch their pets!
