About: I've cared for large dogs of my own, for most of my life. I am adept at quickly figuring out a dog's favorite ways to play and interact, and that is a huge part of the bonding process for me. Volunteering at an animal shelter keeps my skills sharp when it comes to interacting with dogs of all sizes and all temperments. I currently dog & house sit for some of my neighbors and would like to spend more time, in-between, helping care for more pets. My childhood dog was a tawny Briard, who I loved to groom and trained to do several tricks! Dogs I've had as an adult include a 100+ lb Labrador Retreiver, an Australian Cattle Dog and a Pitbull Mix. I also have experience caring for dogs post-surgery. Thanksgiving week I am staying in town. I might be able to schedule more walks/drop-in visits, so please message me if interested. I will open up an additional "slot" that can be booked, if my availability matches your need(s) that week! UPDATE: My availability is changing in December, due to my need to go into the office full-time for the indefinite future. Dec. 9-21 I am unable to accept any new requests. Starting Dec. 22 I will have limited morning availability (between 8 am-10am) and will be happy to discuss this with anyone who is still interested! OLD DESCRIPTION: Whether you need regular visits or just one out of the blue, my availability is pretty open as long as I am not currently pet and house sitting for someone. I like to help pets keep their regular routine at home as much as possible. Walks and other enrichment activities can be mixed up, or a new surprise, to keep animals mentally stimulated and reduce stress. When staying overnight, I allow the pet(s) to sleep in the same bed with me if they want. Positive reinforcement is the only method I use for training or redirecting behavior in animals.

18. Patricia S.
“Patricia is so thoughtful and kind with my fur-babies! From the start I could tell she was really listening and taking in what I was relating about their personalities and needs, and asked great questions as well. She's a regular visitor with my pack, and we're happy to have her!”
19. Elena L.
“Elena was the best sitter we could have hoped for!! She was so attentive to our kitties’ needs and always sent us along photos and video of their ample play time with her. It’s always clear to us that someone loves animals when our cats take to them immediately, which our girls did with Elena!”
20. Kimberly T.
“Kimberly was great. She took such care of Paul Hollywood and Prue while I was out of town. She provided daily updates on both of them. And the photos from the visits were fantastic. If she can get photos of cats like that with a phone Kimberly should consider a career as an animal photographer. I will certainly use Kimberly again”
