Ian is a responsible guest in our home who leaves it the way it was found. Our dog can be a bit naughty so he’s restricted by baby gates to certain parts of the house and items must not be left out or he will chew them. Ian has had no issues making sure the rules are followed. He also is good about providing updates while we are away.”

About: I’ve always loved dogs and taking care of them. I’ve had two dogs so far but have experience with many more. Previously, I worked at a veterinary clinic and was lucky enough to interact with many pets and their parents. Now, I work at Warrior Canine Connection, a nonprofit that raises, trains, and places service dogs for veterans. I spend my days helping with enrichment, feeding, playing, basic training, and cleaning up after them. I also do the same for the puppies that are born on our site, seeing them through all their life stages until they go to a puppy parent. I am good at helping younger dogs get house trained as well as teaching them basic tricks and commands using hand signs and words. Taking care of special needs dogs or dogs with anxiety is also something I have plenty of experience with, so that wouldn’t be an issue! I go to community college 4 days a week and typically work 3 days a week, but that changes. I am never gone for longer that 4 hours at a time, though my availability is typically more in the early morning and evening. Weekends are usually completely empty! I do not have a fenced yard but that is not a problem. I love taking long walks at least twice a day down to the soccer field in my neighborhood. I have a dog, a 7 year old pug named Hamlet. He is a bit skittish with other dogs but he warms up quickly and becomes very curious. My cat is a love bug and just wants to play with everyone around her.
