“Ivan and his family are a dream! They took such great care of Maxy while we were gone. Great communication and complete flexibility with drop off and pick up. You can tell that Ivan and his family truly love animals. My dog has issues with being left alone, and it was so nice at Ivan’s as his family all works from home and help to take care of your pet. In this case, it worked out so well as Maxy was never left alone once. They have a nice fenced in area and a dog door for easy in/out access. We loved their dog Sunny too, who was so mild mannered and a great companion for Max. Thank you so much! We can’t wait for the next time ;)”

About: I have taken care of my own dog since I was young, and since her passing I have routinely dogsit for friends and family. My childhood right-paw-man was a Beagle mix, and so I love to handle hounds who sniff first & think later (as well as distract them with Pupperoni…). I took care of her in her old age, so I have some experience in dropping medicine on the floor and pretending it’s a delectable morsel so dogs devour it! I also have handled plenty of bark-happy dogs, and like to bring treats on all my walks to incentivize more calmer adventures. I am currently in a partly asynchronous grad school program, and I’d love to spend my very flexible time taking healthy (and frequent) breaks from studying to care for your pet! I’m excited to adapt to fur-parents’ homes and needs! I’m comfortable crating pets, supervising outdoor time in fenced yards, and being attentive to your pets’ body language while inside their home.

About: I’m a professional dog groomer and currently manage a grooming salon located inside a veterinary clinic. I’ve been working in the veterinary and pet-care world for about 3 years, and I absolutely love being surrounded by animals every day! Working with pets has been incredibly rewarding for me. I love getting to know each pet’s personality, making them feel safe and comfortable, and helping them live happy, healthy lives. I understand that leaving your pet in someone else’s care can be stressful, so I always treat every pet as if they were my own. I am currently working part time at the veterinary clinic so I will be able to spend the afternoons with the pups/kitties. Sometimes (and if you feel comfortable of course) I could bring them to work with me since there is plenty of space and toys (and they get all of the attention and love) here at the clinic! I have two kitties who are used to interact with other animals, I have a fenced patio so you can be sure they will always be secure and safe. You can let me know if there are activities they especially enjoy...walks, playing catch, afternoon naps etc...and I'll take care of the rest. If your pet has some reactivity issues during walking or other activities, I'll keep an eye out for it so there are no problems. Many pets who visit are endlessly entertained by all of the action at the park directly across the street. They'll spend time sitting at the front window watching everything that passes by, There's no need for your pup to be crate or cage trained but it's fine if they are. One of the absolute great features here are the various ramps we have leading inside and outside for pets that are older or have mobility issues. I've had many dogs, cats and others at all different energy and age levels throughout my life including beagles, pitbulls, poodles, cats and many others. I'll care for yours the same as if they were my own, giving them the attention they deserve so they don't experience any anxiety. They'll be allowed to hang out pretty much all over the house, including sitting on the couch if you allow it. About: Non-Smoker, car owner, long time dog parent. Available for exotic pets (lizards, snakes, tarantulas) when instructions are provided. I’ve owned 2 dogs in my life. First was a small poodle named Zack raised from 5 years to a ripe 15. Then Boo, a terribly spoiled poodle bichon mix I’ve raised since puppyhood (see pictures). This has given me experience in all stages of life, including specialized knowledge in small dogs that require accommodations due to disability or age. Previous work experience at ASPCA for dogs and animals of all sizes. I work from home on my own schedule, so I am available at most times and hours, for both long term and short term. For walking, I am only available for daylight hours. Please call between 10am-6pm. Fenced yard, kept house, nearby dog park, scenic hiking trail in walking distance, safe quiet neighborhood with neighbors that maintain 6 foot rule and wear masks.

About: I have taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. I have mainly taken care of my neighbors' pets, my friends' pets and of course my own. I have pet-sitted for dogs of all sizes, cats and fish. At home I have 3 cats, 3 dogs, 3 guinea pigs, 3 ferrets, a crested gecko and a tree frog. I am reliable and punctual. I am caring and kind. I am also flexible and will follow any schedule or instructions. I am a college student at the University of Maryland and during the summer I do have class on Friday morning. Besides my class schedule I am very flexible. I will follow any instructions that you provide as they are unique to each pet. If taking care of a dog I will never take them out without a leash or fenced in yard. If taking care of a cat I will make sure to keep them inside at all times. About: Know that your dog is safe and comfortable on their walks in the hands of a qualified, positive reinforcement dog trainer! My reactive-inclusive walks can alleviate reactivity by preventing unwanted habits (barking, lunging, etc.) and encouraging calm behaviors on walks. These walks are great not only for reactive or fearful dogs, but also folks with puppies who want proper and positive socialization, or simply anyone who wants their dog to be in qualified hands. I am currently available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays starting at 11am. Last walk is at 2pm or 5pm depending on the day of the week. I'm happy to provide your pup with whatever they need in your home. I can play with them on leash, or off leash in your backyard. I can crate them or not, give them a Kong when I leave - whatever works for you and your pup!
