“Ken is awesome! Very reliable and puntual. My pup loves him a lot. If you’re looking for an experienced dog walker who’s knowledgeable and reliable and responsible, Ken is your guy!”

“Gillian took Wilson out for a walk twice a day for 10 days. She was punctual and responsive. She communicated after each walk with pictures, and she never missed a day. Wilson loved her, and we loved knowing Wilson was in such good hands.”

“Sheila has been walking my dog Violet since July. She is trustworthy, reliable, flexible and caring. She has lots of expirience with dogs and can handle walking a dog that doesn't have the best manners on a leash! My dog Violet seems to really enjoy her walks with Sheila! She has been able to fit in a walk for Violet every single time I have asked, even if I have contacted last minute due to a scheduling conflict on my end. Sheila is very detail oriented and observant and will notice and alert you if something seems off/different about your dog. I can't say enough good things about Sheila!”

About: I have had several pets through my life and all have had different personalities. Adapting to them to make them comfortable is important. I also have helped family take care of their new puppies. I’m very comfortable and understanding when dealing with puppies. Currently I can do any time! I don’t mind having an early morning or late night drop in. I am very flexible and want to make this easy for YOU! Just communicate what you need and it’ll be great. I want the animal to be as comfy as possible. Sometimes their human leaving can be stressful! I want to meet them where it’s needed. Not have their routines thrown off.
“We’re so grateful for the amazing care our dogs received! She was incredibly reliable, followed all instructions perfectly, and made sure both dogs got plenty of exercise and love. It gave us real peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. Highly recommend and would definitely book again!”

“Rosie is awesome! She loves and cares for my dog Stormi every single day! She definitely makes me feel calm and worry-free knowing my dog is getting a great walk, extra play, and love!”

“I have been extremely satisfied with the dog walking services provided by Cornell over the past months. He has consistently demonstrated exceptional reliability, arriving punctually for every scheduled walk and maintaining clear communication throughout our arrangement. His genuine care for my dogs has been evident in the detailed updates and photos he shared after each outing, ensuring they received attentive, safe, and engaging exercise. I highly recommend his professional and trustworthy services to any pet owner seeking a dependable dog walker.”

“We are so thankful for Gabriela. She went above and beyond when George rolled in mess during their walk today. Gabriela took extra time to clean him up. It really showed how much care and attention she gives. Reliable, thoughful and truly treats our Dog as her own. We do appreciate your help Gabriela.”

“Lots of appreciation to Collin for accommodating a couple of last minute requests for longer walks!! He had patience with my dog who gets anxious meeting new people, and made sure to keep him safe from other triggers during the walks - thank you very much for that!! Exactly what I needed!”

About: I have been taking care of dogs most of my life whether it be the 2 dogs that have been part of my family or taking care of neighbors dogs when they are out of town. I currently work part time so my schedule for pet care is very flexible and I would be available at most hours of the day. I have experience taking care of older dogs who just need someone to hang out with and I’ve taken care of younger hyper dogs that warrant extra attention. I am comfortable walking dogs on and off leash and crating them if need be.
About: Have had dogs all my life, small/large and medically complex needing meds, love to train, have done cat sitting for medical cats and normal ones I am currently a student in college but only have 2 classes a per week, also am active and am willing to change schedules around :) I am currently not taking pets for boarding as I have my own dog now, but would love to take care of your pets at your home and provide them with enrichment whenever you need/want.
About: I’ve had at least one cat and one dog my entire life. Including a yellow lab, beagle, fox hound and 9 cats. I currently have 4 cats and a 3 year old fox hound. I am in school and work part time, but am available most days. I can stop by as often as needed or stay with your pets, if that’s whats preferred. My sister has worked as a vet tech for the past 3 years and I’ve grown up with pets. I have a fenced In yard and all of my pets are friendly.
“We’re so glad we found Alyssa. She was easy-going and stayed in great communication throughout, which meant a lot to us. Aoife and Klay can be a little particular and don’t always warm up to new people quickly, but Alyssa handled them effortlessly and they clearly adored her. It’s a relief to know they were in such good hands. We’d book her again in a heartbeat and recommend her without hesitation.”

“Bethany is amazing! She takes such good care of our pup German Shepard, Albus. We get the cutest updates and photos on their adventures every walk. She's a great dog walker, and overall a great person. Highly recommend!”

About: When your dog comes to our home, we treat them like our own. Having grown up with dogs my entire life, I know how important it is to find the absolute best care for them while you are away. Having pet sit for family and friends dogs and also fostered several dogs, we have experience with all types of dogs from puppies to senior dogs and various breeds. I have two daughters who love to spend time with dogs that come to our house and always give lots of love and attention. I currently only have weekend availability due to recent return to office - happy to help during the week if your dog is used to an 8 hour day normally. Please reach out to see if it is something we can accommodate and you are comfortable with. Most days I will be able to get them out for a bathroom break around lunchtime. I will care for your dog the same you do to keep things consistent for them. We can leave them out if we have to leave or crate them, whichever you prefer.
About: I truly treat every pet like my own. I pay close attention to their personality, routines, and comfort level so they feel safe and happy. I’m patient with puppies who are still learning and gentle with senior dogs who may need a slower pace or extra care. Clear communication and detailed updates are very important to me, so you’ll always know how your pet is doing. Pet care fits very naturally into my current routine. I have a very flexible schedule right now, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to walks, drop-ins, or extended care. Because of this flexibility, I’m able to accommodate last-minute requests and maintain consistent availability for recurring clients I’m very adaptable and comfortable following your pet’s specific routine to make sure they feel safe and cared for while you’re away. Whether it’s feeding schedules, medication times, walk routines, or favorite play habits, I stick closely to what your pet is used to so everything feels consistent and stress-free. At this time, I do not offer boarding services in my home, as I have a cat who is not comfortable around other animals. However, I’m happy to provide walks, drop-in visits, and in-home care to make sure your fur babies receive plenty of attention, exercise, and love.
“Christina is so helpful and makes me feel so safe knowing she’s walking my pup while I’m at work. Christina always checks in and sends the most adorable pictures of my pup. Thank you so much Christina!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
