“Wonderful! My pup can be shy at first and she took the time to meet her first so she would be more comfortable and run through any details with me. It was clear she is experienced with dogs. The weekly walks have been great so far and I’d recommend Amanda to anyone! 😊”

“Samantha is a very nice person. I am very lucky that found her to walk my dog Chico on a very short notice! She is very friendly and respectful. Chico gets very excited to see her! Thank you Samantha!”

“Lexie is the best! She is extremely responsive, helpful, and loves dogs. Our puppy always enjoys when she checks in for walks. She also provides training during her visits and writes comprehensive Rover Cards for every visit, including photos, which we always enjoy reading. We completely trust her and are so happy we met her! Thank you, Lexie!”
“Sheila has been walking my dog Violet since July. She is trustworthy, reliable, flexible and caring. She has lots of expirience with dogs and can handle walking a dog that doesn't have the best manners on a leash! My dog Violet seems to really enjoy her walks with Sheila! She has been able to fit in a walk for Violet every single time I have asked, even if I have contacted last minute due to a scheduling conflict on my end. Sheila is very detail oriented and observant and will notice and alert you if something seems off/different about your dog. I can't say enough good things about Sheila!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. Having pets myself, my oldest dog being 11, I have experience in taking care of senior dogs but I also have a 3 y/o and have raised puppies myself so I am aware of everything that requires a young pup to a senior. I’m working part-time because of college so I would love to enjoy some more time with dogs!!! I am home almost everyday and don’t usually go out so I love being at home with my doggy’s! I have two friendly dogs, 1 a senior pup so he isn’t much involved and another 3 year old who loves meeting new friends and he needs friends to play with!! I also have a small fenced backyard which my dogs use to always go outside
“I have been extremely satisfied with the dog walking services provided by Cornell over the past months. He has consistently demonstrated exceptional reliability, arriving punctually for every scheduled walk and maintaining clear communication throughout our arrangement. His genuine care for my dogs has been evident in the detailed updates and photos he shared after each outing, ensuring they received attentive, safe, and engaging exercise. I highly recommend his professional and trustworthy services to any pet owner seeking a dependable dog walker.”

“We’re so glad we found Alyssa. She was easy-going and stayed in great communication throughout, which meant a lot to us. Aoife and Klay can be a little particular and don’t always warm up to new people quickly, but Alyssa handled them effortlessly and they clearly adored her. It’s a relief to know they were in such good hands. We’d book her again in a heartbeat and recommend her without hesitation.”

“Kenneth is the absolute best. Bandito is always so so excited to see him. He takes Bandito on long walks and is always so good at updating us on how he is doing. We can always count on him!”

“Really appreciate Collin's flexibility and how well he was able to work with my pup. Was consistent with communication and understanding of any requests made. Will definitely choose Collin again!”

About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats my whole life. I currently have three Portuguese Water Dogs. I train and handle them in multiple dog sports such as agility and dock diving. I am semi retired after selling my business a year ago. Not one to sit still for too long, I think pet caregiving is a great avenue to channel my energy. My schedule is very flexible so I can work this in. I am very safety conscious. At my home we have a fully fenced yard. When out walking, I am always aware of surroundings and what might trigger a pet. I aim to be proactive and in control at all times
“Christen responded to my request promptly and I was able to set up a last minute walk fairly quickly with her. She arrived on time and kept me informed of everything during the walk. I ALSO really appreciate her making arrangements to come with someone else when she wasn’t feeling too well! Definitely recommend her and will book with her in the future!”

About: I have over 4 years of experience caring for dogs and truly enjoy spending time with animals of all ages and personalities. My family has a 16-year-old dog, so I understand the patience, attention, and special care that senior dogs often need. I have also pet sat for multiple families and have experience caring for up to four dogs at once. I treat every pet like they are my own and strive to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you're away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions or medications. I make sure pets get plenty of attention and care so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I also respect your home, keeping everything clean and organized, and I provide updates so you know how your pet is doing. My goal is to make your pet feel relaxed and cared for in their own environment.
“Monats was super helpful and really came through for our pup during a schedule pinch! She took excellent care of Rosie and was very on top of making sure Rosie’s care requirements were met. And I really appreciated her experience and diligence in catching and thwarting my dogs attempts to eat sticks and mulch even though I had forgotten to warn in advance!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
