“Mrs. Gloria is fantastic! She checked in all the time. She cared for my girl like she was her own. She was very thoughtful, caring, and did an amazing job. Her pictures were wonderful. Thank you so much!”

“Samantha was wonderful! She accommodated my last minute request and also did a great job with our anxious new rescue dog. She left thorough notes and photos for us. We will definitely be using her again!”

“This is our first time using Mona and she's phenomenal. We have four animals in our household, requiring multiple visits throughout the day. We were a little nervous about how they'd react to our absence, since we haven't been traveling much these past years (and one dog is a Covid puppy). Mona provided multiple pictures and a detailed description of each visit. She was so attentive and thorough, which put us at ease to know that our pets were in great hands. We give Mona our enthusiastic recommendation. Our house and all the animals looked fantastic when we returned, and it's a great relief to have such a reliable petsitter for our future trips.”

About: I have taken care of my own dog since I was young, and since her passing I have routinely dogsit for friends and family. My childhood right-paw-man was a Beagle mix, and so I love to handle hounds who sniff first & think later (as well as distract them with Pupperoni…). I took care of her in her old age, so I have some experience in dropping medicine on the floor and pretending it’s a delectable morsel so dogs devour it! I also have handled plenty of bark-happy dogs, and like to bring treats on all my walks to incentivize more calmer adventures. I am currently in a partly asynchronous grad school program, and I’d love to spend my very flexible time taking healthy (and frequent) breaks from studying to care for your pet! I’m excited to adapt to fur-parents’ homes and needs! I’m comfortable crating pets, supervising outdoor time in fenced yards, and being attentive to your pets’ body language while inside their home.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since 2000 and cats since I was 8. From kitten, puppies to senior dogs and cats, I love them all. I will care for your dog like they were my own. I currently work from home everyday. I can walk dogs before work, pet sit all day, or watch them in the evening or overnight. I am available for long stays as well. I have no pets at this time so your pet can be comfortable and roam around freely. I can feed, play with and give lots of attention.
“Kenneth was great! You can tell he loves animals. He took care of our three year old cat, Winston. Winston is a bit shy but came out for pets with Kenneth each visit. It was so good to see!”

“Sheila was fantastic, taking wonderful care of our sweet dogs while we went away to visit family. She arrived promptly and shared photos of each visit so we knew that they were happy and safe! We received a few packages while away and she brought even a really heavy one inside for us!!”

“Riley gave me lots of peace of mind that Bun was being taken care of, looked after, and getting the attention she loves. She left a little summary on the rover card of what she did and how Bun was, and included a few photos for each drop in so I could see that Bun was doing well. I would definitely recommend booking Riley!”

About: My name is Laryssa and I am new on the sitter side of Rover. I am extremely reliable, caring and would treat your pets like my own while you are away! From experience, I know how hard it can be to leave your pets and will provide updates so you can ensure your fur babies are in good hands! A little about me I am a longtime dog owner and have had my Norwegian Elkhound mix for 10 years. She is now almost 12, I have experienced the puppy years, the energetic years, and all the little changes that come with caring for a dog as they get older. I also have experience with dogs from other family and friends that I would care for while they were away. I also currently have two tabby cats and I grew up with cats my whole life so I would be comfortable with both cats and dogs. I currently work from home full time so my schedule is flexible. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine and I will ensure to follow what is asked of me. I am available for dog walks and drop-in visits around the Leesburg area. Whether your dog needs a good walk, some playtime, food and water, a potty break, or simply someone to keep them company, I will make sure they get the care and attention they deserve. I can't wait to meet your pets and become someone you can count on! I currently work from home so I have a flexible schedule and would be willing to work around your needs! I have animals myself so I am used to breaking up my work day. Unfortunately I am unable to board animals with my dog since she gets jealous of me giving attention to someone outside of her. But I am available for drop ins and dog walks! Hoping to board in the future.

“Susan has been absolutely fantastic as a dog walker! She is reliable, punctual, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. My dog immediately felt comfortable with her, which gave me great peace of mind. She always provides updates after walks and goes the extra mile to make sure my dog is happy and well cared for.”

About: Hi! I’m Ingrid, a mom of 4 boys ages 4-13 and a dog owner to a boy Beagle named Otis. I’ve had dogs all my life and love being with them and caring for them! (I even trained Otis from a puppy!) We have a large house in the country on 2.5 acres of land. We LOVE having other dogs stay and visit! Otis and the children are very good with other dogs! Other than taking care of the house and kids, taking care of dogs is my only other job, so your pup will get plenty of needed attention and have lots of fun with us!!! We are on a 2.5 acre property, but no fence, so outside time will be on leash only- (we have long leashes for more freedom to roam). Inside is more flexible with free roam in the main area- very large sunroom, living room, and kitchen. We have a large area for dogs to sleep overnight comfortably either on a dog bed or crate, whichever is preferred.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a little girl - and I have also grown up around pets my entire life! I believe my love for animals shows in the type of care giver I would be to your furry family. From puppies, to senior dogs, I have what it takes to adapt to each animal and care for their needs. I am currently between jobs, so my schedule is pretty free! I’m available to care for your animal in the mornings, afternoon and evening. Weekends vary, however my schedule is flexible. I will constantly keep your dog company, making sure they always have someone to play with, are well fed & most importantly, safe and loved.
“Jessica was wonderful with all of our pets! I always get anxious leaving my “pack” (3 dogs, 4 cats) for the weekend but Jessica was wonderful and took such good care of them. I would totally hire her again!”

About: I’m a professional dog groomer and currently manage a grooming salon located inside a veterinary clinic. I’ve been working in the veterinary and pet-care world for about 3 years, and I absolutely love being surrounded by animals every day! Working with pets has been incredibly rewarding for me. I love getting to know each pet’s personality, making them feel safe and comfortable, and helping them live happy, healthy lives. I understand that leaving your pet in someone else’s care can be stressful, so I always treat every pet as if they were my own. I am currently working part time at the veterinary clinic so I will be able to spend the afternoons with the pups/kitties. Sometimes (and if you feel comfortable of course) I could bring them to work with me since there is plenty of space and toys (and they get all of the attention and love) here at the clinic! I have two kitties who are used to interact with other animals, I have a fenced patio so you can be sure they will always be secure and safe. I am also willing to stay overnight at your home if you think your furry baby will be more comfortable in their own space.

“Rosie was awesome with my puppy Tyson. She did drop in visits on two consecutive days while I was at work to feed Tyson and let him potty. On one of the days it was snowing but she kept her commitment and was here for Tyson. I can tell that Rosie really loves animals and that she does this because she enjoys being around animals, specifically dogs. I would highly recommend Rosie to anyone who is seeking pet care services.”

About: I've cared for dogs big and small for about 8 years. Neighbors and friends have relied on me to walk, feed and stay overnight with their pets. I have experience with epileptic dogs, senior dogs, medication, active supervision, etc. I recently transitions to dog walking/sitting full time to focus on building my own business, so I am now available on Monday through Friday, at 9am-5pm for drop ins/walks. I can stop by for 30-60 minutes to refill water, let out dogs, scoop litter or give medicine at any exact time. I can also easily kennel if needed.
“Alyssa is truly the Best! Mia, my English Bulldog, has the attitude of a teenage girl, and isnt a morning pupper, Im positive some days she just doesnt want to move from her fluffy bed! Alyssa is amazing with her!”

About: Animal lover since birth! I have taken care of dogs, cats, frogs, rabbits, turtles, fish, lizards, and hamsters ever since I was 6 years old. I treat ever animal with love and compassion as if they were my own. Special skills include senior animal care. I would be able to spend quality time with your fur-baby! I am able to take your pet out as many times as they needed during the morning/afternoon/night. I live in a house with a huge yard for pets to go to the bathroom, play, etc. Just down the street is a dog park that I love to go to! Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
