“Mona is a fantastic cat sitter. She is kind, responsible, communicative and sends great updates. My cats love her and I love knowing that they are safe and happy while we travel. She takes great care of them and knows their likes and dislikes and always lets me know what they did during her visits.”

“We had Lexie do drop in visits twice a day to care for our geriatric special needs kitty. I would definitely hire her again, Malachi was very happy to have such great care while we were gone!”

“Antonia is great with our cats. She makes sure to see them every time. She has also dealt with issues admirably when they do occur. Thankfully we haven’t had too many, but I feel like our cats are in good hands with her.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. Having pets myself, my oldest dog being 11, I have experience in taking care of senior dogs but I also have a 3 y/o and have raised puppies myself so I am aware of everything that requires a young pup to a senior. I’m working part-time because of college so I would love to enjoy some more time with dogs!!! I am home almost everyday and don’t usually go out so I love being at home with my doggy’s! I have two friendly dogs, 1 a senior pup so he isn’t much involved and another 3 year old who loves meeting new friends and he needs friends to play with!! I also have a small fenced backyard which my dogs use to always go outside
About: Animal lover since birth! I have taken care of dogs, cats, frogs, rabbits, turtles, fish, lizards, and hamsters ever since I was 6 years old. I treat ever animal with love and compassion as if they were my own. Special skills include senior animal care. I would be able to spend quality time with your fur-baby! I am able to take your pet out as many times as they needed during the morning/afternoon/night. I live in a house with a huge yard for pets to go to the bathroom, play, etc. Just down the street is a dog park that I love to go to! For over nights - I allow the dogs to sleep in my room so they don’t get lonely. I have food/water bowls and a dog bed (fits medium breeds), however, if your dog likes their own things then please feel free to bring them 😊

“Meg is fabulous! She spent great quality time with our social kitty. She was easy to work with and communicated with pictures at each stop in. Definitely recommend her for your family.”

“My pups are so happy whenever Samantha visits them!! She gives them special treatment from her heart ❤️ I'm so happy to have found her to care for my fur babies when I need to be away from them!!!”

I grew up with multiple dogs and a cat so I have plenty of experience with pet care. I've been doing Rover for many years and have gotten great feedback from all customers. I work from home Mon-Fri so I am always available for last minute requests. If you trust me to care for your pet, I'll love them as much as my own! I currently work a full time job from home (8AM-4PM) on Mon-Fri. I'm available around the clock to provide your pet the best care possible and make them feel at home. About: I have been an animal caretaker for the past 4 years back in my home town in Maryland. But moving to college I miss the joy of taking care of animals. I have taken care of birds, cats, and even bunnies. But I mostly took care of large dogs I also am well versed in taking care of smaller dogs as well as puppies and seniors. I’m currently a full time university student-athlete. I tend to be busy in the morning but am mostly free in the afternoons and evenings. I do travel a bit for games and for holidays. I take care of pets in your home. I will take your dogs on walks. Do potty breaks, feedings, and providing quality time with your animal.

“Susan has been absolutely fantastic as a dog walker! She is reliable, punctual, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. My dog immediately felt comfortable with her, which gave me great peace of mind. She always provides updates after walks and goes the extra mile to make sure my dog is happy and well cared for.”

“Absolutely the best Pet Sitter ever. I did not worry one second about my fur babies. She communicated everyday even though they didn’t always cooperate 🤦♀️. Definitely glad we found her and will be calling her anytime we travel. So awesome to be able to leave my babies with someone I know will take such exceptional care of them. Thank you again!”

“Jessica was able to sit for us on short notice and took care of our fur babies during the holiday season. She was flexible, able to administer medicine and spent time playing with our cats to help de-stress them while we were away.”
About: I have been caring for dogs since I was 13! I have had multiple dogs (all rescue) in my home that I have fed, bathed, walked, and administered medication. I have been working in dog shelters since 2021, so I am comfortable with all dogs from all backgrounds! I have a pitbull terrier mix, a semi-feral outdoor cat, fish, and two crested geckos! Pet care is something I do every single day, including: feeding, bathing, walking, medication administration, and habitat cleaning! I always meet an animal where they are. I don't want to impose on their personal space or do something to make them scared. I don't expect every animal to be super warm and cuddly, everyone has different needs! I can cater as fancy or as downplayed a routine as you need to make your fur-babies (or non-furry) feel safe!

I live in a big house with my family. We have a fenced backyard. We also have a super friendly Shetland Sheepdog, who will keep your fur baby company. We also live close to a huge park.

About: Hi, I'm from Colombia. I love animals, especially dogs and cats. I've had pets all my life, so I know how important and valuable they are to us. With me you'll find an excellent caregiver; I love playing with them, taking them for walks, feeding them. You can fully trust me to leave your four-legged friend. I have full-time availability every day of the week, including weekends. Since I don't have other work commitments right now, my schedule is incredibly flexible. I can easily accommodate your pet's specific feeding, walking, and playtime routines at any time. When staying at your home, I strictly follow your rules and routines to keep your pet comfortable. I ensure all doors and gates are securely locked, maintain a clean space, and provide regular photo updates so you can have complete peace of mind while you are away.
“Sara is amazing! Super attentive and caring with the cats, going beyond and above on the ask of looking out for them 😉 She is a gem and I highly recommend her, definitely will have her again in another time. Thak you Sara!”

About: When I was little I begged my parents for a pet, finally they agreed and we rescued a Golden Retriever mix puppy,Sebastian, so animals have been a part of my heart from the very beginning. He was my best friend for almost 13 years. We went on walks, dog park play dates, hikes, and many car rides. He was also my movie night buddy. I also have some experience with fish, I had a betta fish and hope to start new aquarium set ups soon. In the future I plan on rescuing more animals, both cats and dogs. These days, I'm a proud cat mom to Cleo and Pearl, my one-year-old duo who keep me on my toes. By day I work in a science lab, but my evenings are filled with live music, painting, crocheting (yes, I’ve made my cats bandanas) and making sure my babies are loved. I have experience walking dogs of all ages, from energetic pups to gentle seniors, and I'm comfortable handling pet medications, so you can trust your fur baby is in safe, attentive hands. I treat every pet like family and am committed to giving them the very best care while you're away. I am available on the weekends and some weekday evenings after 5pm for dog walks or drop in visits. On the weekends I can also do multiple drop ins I would like to meet the pets before the initial walk or drop in. Also like to discuss their schedules and anything else I’d need to know about them and their routines
“Christina is an awesome pet walker / sitter! She’s knowledgeable and makes sure she’s aware of any training that is an issue with your animal. We have a puppy that we needed walked in the middle of the day while we’re working. We needed a walker who was willing to get him some good exercise not just a leisurely walk. She’s also watched our puppy for an event we had a couple of hours offsite. She’s so good with our dog and we highly recommend her.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
