About: I have had dogs my entire life and have a great care for animals. I’m used to both big and small dogs and am good with older dogs (seeing as I myself have an elderly dog) I am currently searching for a part time job, but even once I do find one I will be available for walking and pet sitting. I am always diligent about animals safety. Ensuring doors are locked closed, and the animal is within eye sight. If need be crates can be great too for periods of time.

About: My brother has a British shorthair cat and I used to have a Maltese but he passed away 2 years ago. I’m able to help any animal! I work part time so I’m able to care for any pet in need but need a couple of days in advance I’ve taken care of multiple cats and dogs at a time too My house is at the moment pet free but any animal would be able to adapt to my house the environment is pet friendly. Pet friendly products in this house too
“She is the BEST!! Can't imagine what could have done without her in this weather. Every morning Chico waits for her. She is always on time and flexible. We love her!!”

“Rosie does very well with my friendly but reserved older husky but also with my wild and crazy 2-yr-old foster dog. Two very different types! Looks like she can deal with most anything.”

“She is so great. My dog loves her! She is so caring and nice. She makes sure my dog always has his water bowl filled after a walk and gives lots of pets and treats to my puppy. Will highly recommend.”

“Sheila has been walking my dog Violet since July. She is trustworthy, reliable, flexible and caring. She has lots of expirience with dogs and can handle walking a dog that doesn't have the best manners on a leash! My dog Violet seems to really enjoy her walks with Sheila! She has been able to fit in a walk for Violet every single time I have asked, even if I have contacted last minute due to a scheduling conflict on my end. Sheila is very detail oriented and observant and will notice and alert you if something seems off/different about your dog. I can't say enough good things about Sheila!”

“Michelle understands how to work with dogs, even large lively ones. She’s professional, reliable, and communicative. She is also so affectionate with our dog, which meant a lot to us (and him). Highly recommend Michelle!”

About: I've done pet sitting for family and friends for most of my life. I’ve taken care of dogs by making sure they’re well fed, they play, we go walking, and being able to give oral meds if they need. I will be available on marked days, usually weekdays as well as Sundays and occasional Saturdays if needed since l have a flexible schedule during the summer. I take care of my pets diligently and lovingly so I wouldn’t do it any other way for yours! I’m currently on summer break from college, so I’ll be able to give undivided attention to your little angel! I’ll be should be available most days for walking and dog sitting except for Saturdays. (But be sure to check my marked days!) I’m fine with your pet to play in my home freely (within reason haha). There’s also a park and a plain grass space near my home if they want to play and run around there. I do have two shy cats but they’re very nice and have experience being around dogs.
“Mary was wonderful with out puppy. She was very patient and did a really good job at communicating with us. She send us great pictures of our Carlos, we are thankful for her help. Definitely hiring her again!”

“Dee Dee is awesome! We can always count on her for weekly weekday walks. She always gives great updates and sends pictures during each visit. Happy we came across her profile on Rover!”

“I have been extremely satisfied with the dog walking services provided by Cornell over the past months. He has consistently demonstrated exceptional reliability, arriving punctually for every scheduled walk and maintaining clear communication throughout our arrangement. His genuine care for my dogs has been evident in the detailed updates and photos he shared after each outing, ensuring they received attentive, safe, and engaging exercise. I highly recommend his professional and trustworthy services to any pet owner seeking a dependable dog walker.”

“We’re so glad we found Alyssa. She was easy-going and stayed in great communication throughout, which meant a lot to us. Aoife and Klay can be a little particular and don’t always warm up to new people quickly, but Alyssa handled them effortlessly and they clearly adored her. It’s a relief to know they were in such good hands. We’d book her again in a heartbeat and recommend her without hesitation.”

About: Have had dogs all my life, small/large and medically complex needing meds, love to train, have done cat sitting for medical cats and normal ones I am currently a student in college but only have 2 classes a per week, also am active and am willing to change schedules around :) I am currently not taking pets for boarding as I have my own dog now, but would love to take care of your pets at your home and provide them with enrichment whenever you need/want.
About: I have taken care of my own dog since I was young, and since her passing I have routinely dogsit for friends and family. My childhood right-paw-man was a Beagle mix, and so I love to handle hounds who sniff first & think later (as well as distract them with Pupperoni…). I took care of her in her old age, so I have some experience in dropping medicine on the floor and pretending it’s a delectable morsel so dogs devour it! I also have handled plenty of bark-happy dogs, and like to bring treats on all my walks to incentivize more calmer adventures. I am currently in a partly asynchronous grad school program, and I’d love to spend my very flexible time taking healthy (and frequent) breaks from studying to care for your pet! I’m excited to adapt to fur-parents’ homes and needs! I’m comfortable crating pets, supervising outdoor time in fenced yards, and being attentive to your pets’ body language while inside their home.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who’s been surrounded by dogs and cats my entire life. Caring for animals has always been a passion of mine, and I’m currently going to school to become a professional dog trainer. Because of my flexible school schedule, I have plenty of time to give your pets the attention, exercise, and love they deserve. For the past 11 months, I’ve worked at a dog daycare and boarding facility, where I’ve gained hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities. My job has taught me how to safely handle group play, recognize canine body language, administer basic care, and ensure every dog feels comfortable and secure. I’m currently going to school to become a professional dog trainer. Because of my flexible school schedule, I have plenty of time to give your pets the attention, exercise, and love they deserve. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop-in visit, or overnight care, I’ll treat them like they’re part of my own family. I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your furry family members, and I’m committed to providing reliable, compassionate care while keeping you updated every step of the way. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! 🐾
About: Dog boarding: I have 16 years experience for caring for dogs at home including multiple dogs at a time. Additionally I have six years experience with dog sitting/boarding. My main availability would be Monday-Saturday where I WFH meaning constant attention and activities for the dogs to be a part of. Dog walking: My main availability would be Monday-Friday. I live right by Rock Creek Park so there are plenty of trails nearby to avoid busy streets on walks. Also available to commute through the DMV area for any service. I myself decided to join this app because I have always love helping dog owners provide the best life experience for their fur babies. I understand that sometimes it takes a village to have a dog/cat constantly looked after. With this I thought that dog boarding and sitting could be a great experience for the dogs and cats alike as I’m a high energy person who loves the outdoors. (Tips are encouraged and greatly appreciated) I work from home so I’m able to constantly give dogs/cats attention. This means constant potty breaks, multiple walks a day with varying duration, and lots and lots of affection. In my home I have two friendly dogs (crate-trained) and a doggy door with access to a fenced yard. Nearby there are also walking trails and parks away from busy roads for the dogs to roam.
“Etilma is a wonderful person and a fantastic dog walker! She takes great care of Sammy when they go on their daily walks together. She takes pictures regularly and always keeps me updated on anything she notices about him. I highly recommend her!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Clarksburg
Antoinette did such an amazing job with my dogs. From the meet & greet to the boys first walk she was attentive, professional & ensured the boys were safe by asking questions about where to walk and what she needed to know to keep them safe. She went above and beyond with the boys and as a pet owner that’s all I can ask for while I’m at work. Book her she’s great !!

I can’t say enough good things about my experience! From the very beginning, she took the time to get to know my dog’s unique needs and made sure to follow all of my requests. Knowing that she genuinely cared about my dog gave me so much peace of mind. She was always prompt, reliable, friendly, and incredibly kind. It was obvious that she truly loves what she does, and my dog absolutely adored her. Seeing how excited my dog was to spend time with her meant everything to me. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable dog walker. I would happily book with her again and know my dog would be thrilled to see her.

Aki was readily available for myself and my boys in a short notice on same day, which was greatly appreciated. I needed an extra walk for the day. Both had not done what they needed to do in the morning by my existing walker. She was friendly & accommodating to myself and my boys. I was given details about their & answered my request about eliminating. She was attentive to their needs such as needing water & with care/handling. I liked her upbeat, friendly personality. I would recommend her as a person to give dog services and other pets. Hopefully the boys also get a review for good behavior. :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
