About: I have had dogs my entire life and have a great care for animals. I’m used to both big and small dogs and am good with older dogs (seeing as I myself have an elderly dog) I am currently searching for a part time job, but even once I do find one I will be available for walking and pet sitting. I am always diligent about animals safety. Ensuring doors are locked closed, and the animal is within eye sight. If need be crates can be great too for periods of time.
“Samantha H was fantastic! She came to meet the cats ahead of time and to get the lay of the land. She followed instructions precisely and sent updates to let me know things were taken care of and everything was locked up. Highly recommend her.”

“Rene is absolutely fantastic. She was always prompt, diligent and so caring for our cat. This was our first time leaving Milo. Rene immediately put us at ease. She communicated constantly. She came prior to the scheduled visits to meet Milo, who loved Rene instantly. During the visits, Rene sent us pictures of Milo. She did “all the things” (litterbox, food, water etc), probably more carefully than we do at home haha. Rene even brushed Milo, which was above and beyond. We are so happy Rene took care of our pet. We can’t say enough good things about Rene.”

“Candice was nothing short than amazing! She took care of our three cats for an entire week while we were on vacation! She put up with my frazzled nerves as a cat mum, and went above and beyond. She is also very knowledgeable when it comes to animals. We felt more than secure leaving our babies with her, she is our permanent nanny now. Book Candice you will not be disappointed and she understands what piece and peace of mind means too.”

“Dee is always communicative and takes the best pictures! We can always trust that our cats and reptiles are well taken care of when we are gone. This is probably like the fourth time asking Dee to drop in and visit/feed our pets and everything is always just right! Dee comes at a good hour and follows instructions exactly! We will continue to request Dee in the future.”

“Absolutely the best Pet Sitter ever. I did not worry one second about my fur babies. She communicated everyday even though they didn’t always cooperate 🤦♀️. Definitely glad we found her and will be calling her anytime we travel. So awesome to be able to leave my babies with someone I know will take such exceptional care of them. Thank you again!”

“When we returned for vacation, I noticed that my dog was well-trained. It seems that I not only hired a pet sitter but also a pat trainer. My neighbor informed me of her exceptional skills with my dog. Now they like to have her as pat sitter as well. She was very responsive and on time every time”

“Lynnette is amazing, very professional and detail-oriented. She arrived promptly every day and sent us comprehensive reports, with lots of photos. Best of all, our cat loved her. Lynnette always took time to play with her, and was extremely responsive to her needs. We couldn't be happier.”

About: What sets me apart is that I’m a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) with over 8 years of professional animal-care experience. I’ve spent 4½ years at Banfield Pet Hospital and 4 years at All Dogs Club, where I gained hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, and personalities. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, seniors, high energy dogs, shy or anxious dogs, and dogs who need medications or extra attention. I understand the importance of maintaining their routines, providing positive reinforcement, and giving each dog the individual care they need. As a dog mom to 3 dogs myself, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pup with someone else. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, loved, comfortable, and right at home while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine, and I’m able to plan my availability around my work schedule. I currently work Sunday from 3–11 PM and Monday–Tuesday from 2–11 PM, which leaves me available during the mornings and early afternoons on those days. I also have greater flexibility Wednesday through Saturday. With my veterinary background, I’m dependable, organized, and comfortable building pet care into my routine. I’ll make sure your pet receives the attention, exercise, companionship, and consistency they need while you’re away. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I treat every pet like they’re my own. I follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medications, and plenty of love and attention. As a CVT, I’m experienced in recognizing changes in behavior and overall well-being, and I’m comfortable caring for pets with different ages, personalities, and needs. In a client’s home, I respect their space and make sure their pet feels safe and comfortable in their familiar environment. I also have 3 dogs and 2 cats of my own, so I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pets and your home.
“Maggie did a great job overall she followed instructions provided by us! Thank you so much. She is very kind and caring. she brought a lot of positive energy to my dog and my cat and insured that they used the bathroom they ate their food, drank water and have play time. My cat has some medical issues. She made sure that he got his medicine on time and was very professional and a great communicator! Thank you for the pictures and the reports every day! Appreciate you for taking care of our babies!”

“Highly recommend! When Rosie was unable to get to my house to walk Kobe at the regular time, she went above and beyond to find a reliable and trusted person who could. Excellent communication and service.”

About: I’m a professional dog groomer and currently manage a grooming salon located inside a veterinary clinic. I’ve been working in the veterinary and pet-care world for about 3 years, and I absolutely love being surrounded by animals every day! Working with pets has been incredibly rewarding for me. I love getting to know each pet’s personality, making them feel safe and comfortable, and helping them live happy, healthy lives. I understand that leaving your pet in someone else’s care can be stressful, so I always treat every pet as if they were my own. I am currently working part time at the veterinary clinic so I will be able to spend the afternoons with the pups/kitties. Sometimes (and if you feel comfortable of course) I could bring them to work with me since there is plenty of space and toys (and they get all of the attention and love) here at the clinic! I have two kitties who are used to interact with other animals, I have a fenced patio so you can be sure they will always be secure and safe. I am also willing to stay overnight at your home if you think your furry baby will be more comfortable in their own space.
“Jasmin always takes great care of my cat so I never have any worries when I travel. She also takes the time to send me many pictures and honestly makes my cat look like a super model.”

“Bill is amazing! I have a senior dog with separation anxiety and I am very particular about his care. After having Bill come for several drop-ins I would not hesitate to continue to use him for Taco's care. He has a tremendous amount of experience with dogs and was able to establish trust with Taco very quickly. I could tell that Bill truly cared about Taco and Taco knew it too! :) Do not hesitate to book with Bill, he is exceptional.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clarksburg. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
