“Dee Dee was a last minute fill-in for our regular pet sitter who hurt his knee and we couldn’t have gotten luckier! She is thorough, gentle, and patient with our old grumpy kitties. Highly recommend!”

“Gillian helped a lot checking in on our cats while we were away. We do recommend her as a visiting pet sitter, and will for sure consider her help again next time we’re off for vacation.”

“Rene did an outstanding job taking care of my cat Max! She was always on time, fed him and gave him his medication, and lots of attention. Everything was neat and tidy when we returned as well. We will definitely be booking with Rene again in the future!”

“Candice did an excellent job! I was especially impressed with how hard she tried (and succeeded!) to get my one cat to eat his medicated food. She genuinely seemed to care about my babies and their wellbeing. She also provided very thorough notes on the visit and lots of good pictures! Would definitely book her again.”

“Lynnette was amazing ! She responded to me so quickly when I was in a pinch, and was so helpful to us. Our dog is blind, and she gave him lots of love and sent me great pictures and updates after the visits. Highly recommend Lynnette and will definitely be contacting her again!”
“Stephanie is dynamite! My kitties absolutely love her, she makes sure the house is taken care of while we’re away, and she always handles the unexpected with ease :)”

“Samantha was an excellent choice for us as a dog walker. She was kind, punctual and reliable. We felt very comfortable leaving Maisey under her care. I highly recommend Samantha.”

“She took care of my Kitties last minute, and one of them I adopted a week ago and they weren't quite on hospitable terms yet. She allowed them to interact gently while being ready to separate in case of throwing paws. She also followed special feeding directions for my elderly cat who needs stuff mixed in and her pate in an extra soupy mash.”

“Eva was great! We really appreciated the photos & reports that came with each visit, and our kitty seemed to really enjoy the attention Eva gave her. She’s dependable and a great communicator. We will certainly engage her again in the future!”

“Becca did a great job with my excitable Beagle and my very shy cat. You can tell that she loves animals, and the fur girls loved her instantly -- which made it much easier to leave them for a couple of days. I will ask her to help me again whenever I need to go away.”

“Lisa did a great job helping us taking care of my cat Jasper the 2nd time. She was able to identify an ant problem we had and resolve it to her best ability. Very happy with the help she provided.”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover and pet parent who understands that every pet has their own unique personality, routine, and needs. I currently care for my own Yorkie-poo and cat, so I know how important it is to have someone you can trust while you’re away. I believe in providing patient, attentive care while keeping pets comfortable in their normal routine. Whether that’s walks, playtime, feeding, administering basic medications, lots of cuddles, or simply giving them space when they need it, I adapt to each pet’s personality. I’m naturally detail-oriented and reliable, and I’ll carefully follow your care instructions while keeping you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to make your time away as stress-free as possible for both you and your furry family member. Pet care is something I genuinely enjoy making part of my routine. I work remotely four days a week and go into the office one day, which gives me flexibility to provide attentive care throughout most weekdays, as well as evenings and weekends. I plan ahead to ensure every pet receives the time, attention, exercise, and affection they deserve. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible and provide regular photo and message updates so you can feel confident they’re happy and well cared for while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I have a secure, fenced-in patio/yard area where pets can safely spend time outdoors under supervision. I carefully follow each owner’s care instructions, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any special routines. I treat every home with the same respect and care as my own, making sure pets remain safe and comfortable throughout each visit. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important peace of mind is, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages while you’re away.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Wildcat Forest
Candice was great with our two cats. She is very reliable and truly loves and understands cats. She went above and beyond taking care of an ant issue and feeding our outdoor fish. Her daily reports were very detailed giving us a clear picture of how our kitties were doing and she sent numerous pictures of them which made us feel connected to our cats while away. She communicates very well which helped establish clearly what we needed and what she would do during each visit. I highly recommend her!
Dee Dee saved our vacation as she was able to watch our cat last-minute on a holiday weekend after our care fell through. She was responsive to my messages and provided excellent care to our cat, who was being left home alone for the first time. While he was slightly annoyed at us for leaving, he was well fed and emotionally and physically stimulated while we were away, as demonstrated by how put together and not destroyed our house was when we returned. We will definitely use Dee Dee again when we go out of town!

Vanessa took great care of our 3 cats while we were away! She's very thorough, detail-oriented, and clearly cares about animals. Our cats are normally skittish around new people, but she took the time to befriend them with treats and they really warmed up to her! Will definitely be asking her to pet sit again.

Felicia was amazing! She was super sweet, trustworthy and stopped in to check on my two cats 3 times while I was on an extended vacation. She gave detailed reports of her visits including what she did (changed water, food, litter, etc) and sent lots of cute pictures, my tom cat really took a liking to her. I would definitely hire her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wildcat Forest. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
