In college, I helped my roommate raise her dog from just under 1 year old to 2.5 years old. A couple years out, I’m still the designated pet sitter whenever she requires it. Tasks done: - TONS of long walks around the neighborhood or campus. As a morning or afternoon walker, the strolls average an hour or more most days (unless it’s bad weather) - Entertainment via fetch or chase around the house or enclosed tennis court. - Occasionally the food dispenser, giving dog her daily rations (and side treats like banana, carrots, or other human foods - with owner consent, of course)

Safety, trust & environment
FOR DOGS: - Feed and provide walks/outside time (depending on owner and dog’s preferences, this can mean in a backyard or around the neighborhood) following a schedule. - Also very happy to play with them provided toys and space. - My neighborhood has plenty of walking trails and sidewalks and is very dog friendly. FOR BOTH CATS AND DOGS: - I love brushing animals (as long as they’re agreeable to it). - Totally fine just sitting with the animal and spending time with sharing the same space

We had Anindita caring for our 5 year old cat for about a week. Our cat was very happy and calm and never seemed stressed at all. She warmed up to Anindita very quickly which was shocking as she’s typically very anxious and scared of strangers. We were able to enjoy our trip without worrying too much about how our cat was doing because we knew she was in good hands! Anindita is extremely responsible, caring, communicative (sharing updates and pictures!), and kind. I would strongly recommend her for any of your pet sitting needs!

Schedule
I live in the Van Ness neighborhood and work in SW DC. On weekends, I sometimes go back to my parents house in Germantown, MD. I usually am free after 5pm weekdays, with a very flexible schedule on weekends (I like to spend time outdoors exploring the neighborhood, Rock Creek Park, or other parts of DC).
