“Stephanie is the absolute best cat/house-sitter ever! Since I booked Stephanie on Rover last year, she’s my first (and only) call I make for pet care. I fully trust her with my kitties and my home, and you should, too :)”

“Brianne has been amazing with my dog Diego! She comes weekly for his walks, and he took to her instantly. He recognizes her right away and gets so excited for their 30-minute outings. The walks have really helped his health and getting him back in shape. We’re so happy to have found her — highly recommend!”

“Dee Dee has been taking care of my cats for two weeks, so I can spend time with my family in my hometown. Please take care of them for the rest of the two weeks 🙏🏻 Thank you so much ❤️”

“This is the 2nd time I’ve booked Nicole to take care of my fur babies while we were out of the country and she always goes above and beyond. My cats are so comfortable with her - she even manages to get my shy boy Fluffy out of his shell. If you’re looking for a reliable, sweet sitter who will really take care of your pets while you’re away look no further. Nicole even brought in my mail while I was gone - thanks again Nicole for all that you did. I really appreciate you 🫶🏻”

“Amy was wonderful. We are very new to the area and needed someone to do some quick, lowkey drop ins for our cats while we were out of town. Amy was friendly, professional, and did a fantastic job caring for our cats.”

“Thank you for taking care of my puppy! Candace was on time for each visit and sent wonderful photos of her each time. I really appreciate her attention to detail and flexibility.”

About: Dogs have been in my life since I was 12 years old. I have had 4 dogs throughout that time. I have experience with both senior dogs and high-energy younger dogs. I am more used to smaller dogs, but one of my current 2 dogs is a 54lb pitt-bull, the other one is a 15lb pug mix. I also used to take care of a 70lb standard poodle for a family I was a nanny for. I am currently unemployed, so I have open availability. I am working on my master´s degree and would like to use this extra time to save a little money since I just got married. I offer dog walking and house sitting services. I can also play with them and provide a safe and comfortable envoinment. I will adapt to whatever specific needs your pets may have.
“Dymond was amazing! She accepted our request at the last minute and really helped us out with our dog. She was super communicative and sent lots of pictures and videos. In the past when we’ve left our dog with a sitter she’d act nervous and scared when we returned home. This time with Dymond though, our dog was happy and calm when we came back. We can tell she got a lot of exercise and had fun! We will definitely use her again and highly recommend her to others for your pet sitting needs!”

“Julia is amazing!! She is quick to respond and takes the most adorable pictures!! I also love the notes she leaves with each drop in. I would HIGHLY recommend her!! My dog absolutely loves her.”

“Rene is absolutely fantastic. She was always prompt, diligent and so caring for our cat. This was our first time leaving Milo. Rene immediately put us at ease. She communicated constantly. She came prior to the scheduled visits to meet Milo, who loved Rene instantly. During the visits, Rene sent us pictures of Milo. She did “all the things” (litterbox, food, water etc), probably more carefully than we do at home haha. Rene even brushed Milo, which was above and beyond. We are so happy Rene took care of our pet. We can’t say enough good things about Rene.”

“Lynette was wonderful, as always! Kept me informed of how my cats were doing and captured great moments in photos. It's the longest I've been away from my boys, but I felt more at ease having Lynette check in on them! I returned to happy kitties and a clean apartment. Thanks so much!”

“Hazel has been great help for our busy family and taking care of Max our fur baby. Super punctual and flexible and communicative. Max sure enjoys his walks with her. Thank you Hazel 🙏🏻”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who’s been surrounded by dogs and cats my entire life. Caring for animals has always been a passion of mine, and I’m currently going to school to become a professional dog trainer. Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Burnham Hills
Amy was excellent at watching our senior cat, who required medication twice a day. She was extremely attentive and responsive to his needs, especially his picky preferences for receiving as an older cat. We really appreciated her help and time to be able to make so many frequent visits and would rebook Amy again in the future.

Alma was amazing with my two kitties! One of my cats is super shy and I was worried she would hide the whole time, but she warmed up to Alma right away and I felt so relieved when Alma sent me videos of my babies purring and happy. Also my automatic cat feeder got jammed one day and stopped working, but Alma fixed it for me:) So worth it! Alma is the best. I will definitely request her again to watch my kitties for my next trip!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Burnham Hills. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
