“Samantha! We couldn’t be happier with the care our dogs Harry Stanley and De Niro received! Our dog care taker went absolutely above and beyond to make sure our pups were happy and well taken care of while we were away for our wedding. Samantha was incredibly punctual, reliable, and genuinely attentive to our boys’ needs. Knowing they were in such capable and loving hands gave us complete peace of mind on our special day and throughout our time away. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience — she truly made all the difference. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, dedicated dog care taker!”

“Absolutely the best Pet Sitter ever. I did not worry one second about my fur babies. She communicated everyday even though they didn’t always cooperate 🤦♀️. Definitely glad we found her and will be calling her anytime we travel. So awesome to be able to leave my babies with someone I know will take such exceptional care of them. Thank you again!”

“Candice is amazing! We needed help last minute and she arranged a meet and greet and then was able to take care of our pup three times in a day when we had to be away. She was was patient and calm waiting for my pup to get comfortable with her at the meet and greet and gave great information on our Rover card! Will definitely book with Candice again.”

“Judy is amazing! She is so kind, professional and thorough. She attended to every detail while caring for my 2 dogs, bearded dragon and 2 chicken coops!! All my babies felt her love. You won’t be disappointed when you hire Judy!”

“Susan has been absolutely fantastic as a dog walker! She is reliable, punctual, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. My dog immediately felt comfortable with her, which gave me great peace of mind. She always provides updates after walks and goes the extra mile to make sure my dog is happy and well cared for.”

About: I have had several pets through my life and all have had different personalities. Adapting to them to make them comfortable is important. I also have helped family take care of their new puppies. I’m very comfortable and understanding when dealing with puppies. Currently I can do any time! I don’t mind having an early morning or late night drop in. I am very flexible and want to make this easy for YOU! Just communicate what you need and it’ll be great. I want the animal to be as comfy as possible. Sometimes their human leaving can be stressful! I want to meet them where it’s needed. Not have their routines thrown off.
“Alyssa is truly the Best! Mia, my English Bulldog, has the attitude of a teenage girl, and isnt a morning pupper, Im positive some days she just doesnt want to move from her fluffy bed! Alyssa is amazing with her!”
“Minara is so great!! She looked after my cats while I visited family for Christmas. Wonderful communicator and very easygoing. Everything went very smoothly and I can tell my cats liked her. :) Everything was left very clean and she did every single little thing i asked!! Highly recommend!”

About: When I was little I begged my parents for a pet, finally they agreed and we rescued a Golden Retriever mix puppy,Sebastian, so animals have been a part of my heart from the very beginning. He was my best friend for almost 13 years. We went on walks, dog park play dates, hikes, and many car rides. He was also my movie night buddy. I also have some experience with fish, I had a betta fish and hope to start new aquarium set ups soon. In the future I plan on rescuing more animals, both cats and dogs. These days, I'm a proud cat mom to Cleo and Pearl, my one-year-old duo who keep me on my toes. By day I work in a science lab, but my evenings are filled with live music, painting, crocheting (yes, I’ve made my cats bandanas) and making sure my babies are loved. I have experience walking dogs of all ages, from energetic pups to gentle seniors, and I'm comfortable handling pet medications, so you can trust your fur baby is in safe, attentive hands. I treat every pet like family and am committed to giving them the very best care while you're away. I am available on the weekends and some weekday evenings after 5pm for dog walks or drop in visits. On the weekends I can also do multiple drop ins I would like to meet the pets before the initial walk or drop in. Also like to discuss their schedules and anything else I’d need to know about them and their routines
“Kenneth was kind enough to send updates and several pictures when he visited while we were away, which really reassured us that our pups were taken care of. Would definitely request his services in the future!”

“Super duper dogwatch trooper! Provided regular updates and timely pics. Great attention to detail, remembering little quirks I told her about our dog. I’d say even nicer things, but I’d rather keep her a secret ;)”

About: I am pretty new to this but I have watched taken care of big and small dogs in the past with their own specific needs. I am available all day Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs. As for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I am available after 5:30pm. I may be able to accommodate more days if my work schedule opens up. I will just let you know :) I am very vigilant and detail oriented. I will make sure that everything is left the EXACT same way it was as I entered. If not better. As for my own home, I do not have the capacity to keep a dog unfortunately.

About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats for family members since I was around 12. I would say my experience is pretty high. I also walk and check in on dogs as a side hustle now outside of the Rover app! I am a 19 year old collegiate soccer player who goes to school in a different state, so I have little to no time for a part time job because I have to cut my summer short. Which is why I see this side hustle to be very helpful for me. Most of my days I’m just sitting around the house except for the early morning and late at night. As well as training mid day twice a week. I do not care for pets in my home since it is not mine but in others homes I make sure to follow and read any instructions given by the owner thoroughly as well as keep my eye on the pet(s) at all times.
“She took care of my Kitties last minute, and one of them I adopted a week ago and they weren't quite on hospitable terms yet. She allowed them to interact gently while being ready to separate in case of throwing paws. She also followed special feeding directions for my elderly cat who needs stuff mixed in and her pate in an extra soupy mash.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 6,247 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Barnesville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Barnesville. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
