This was our first time leaving Benny with someone else (we were away six days) so we were already a bit on edge; Sriju put us at ease immediately. Everyday while we were gone Sriju sent texts and pictures (usually once in AM and once in PM). She took Benny on numerous walks throughout the day as well as to the dog park. She adjusted to his needs, not the other way around, and provided an atmosphere that made Benny completely comfortable, as evidenced by his affection toward her when it was time to pick him up upon our return. My childhood right-paw-man was a Beagle mix, and so I love to handle hounds who sniff first & think later (as well as distract them with Pupperoni…). I’ve taken care of dogs by making sure they’re well fed, they play, we go walking, and being able to give oral meds if they need. Then Boo, a terribly spoiled poodle bichon mix I’ve raised since puppyhood (see pictures). Previous work experience at ASPCA for dogs and animals of all sizes. I work from home on my own schedule, so I am available at most times and hours, for both long term and short term. For walking as a solo service, I prefer daylight hours. Message anytime, but please call between 10am-6pm. I'm available for both boarding and house sitting. For house sitting, I would typically water plants as well, take in newspapers and packages, etc. I typically leave things as they are or better than I found them. My own house isn't very busy, so it's easy for me to notice if a pet needs extra attention or playtime, or if they're trying to get into something they shouldn't. Stairs aren't an issue. The glass screen door lets them watch the neighborhood as I sit. Fenced yard, clean house, nearby dog parks, and a safe quiet area. In the fenced yard, we have a stone patio and a garden of roses, hydrangeas, and a butterfly bush. A smaller metal fence guards the more sensitive plants. There's a "rest area" for pets that need frequent breaks. The clovers are growing back at the moment.
