About: Although most of my formal rescue work has been with cats, dogs have always been part of my life too. I adopted my Shiba Inu in 2019, and caring for him as he’s aged has given me real-world experience with senior dog needs. He’s now 11+ with a heart condition that requires medication twice a day, and I handle all of his care — nail trims, baths, daily walks, and occasional vet‑prescribed injections for arthritis. He’s taught me so much about patience, routine, and gentle medical handling. Beyond my own dog, I’ve helped care for many dogs belonging to friends and family, each with their own personality and quirks. I’ve worked with a loud, high-energy Red Heeler; several bold little “Napoleon” Chihuahuas; a nervous, skeptical Dachshund; a giant, gentle German Shepherd; multiple Boston Terriers; a super-smart, high-energy Poodle/Yorkie mix; and a regal Doberman Pinscher. These dogs have given me hands-on experience with everything from anxious and spicy temperaments to confident, goofy, or highly intelligent behavior. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs — playing fetch, going for long walks, or even tackling a strenuous hike. Having a good dog as a companion makes those moments even better. I may be a cat specialist by profession, but I’m a dedicated dog owner by heart, and I bring that same love, attentiveness, and adaptability to every dog I look after. Every day I take care of my own personal and foster animals (cats and 1 dog) and then start making my rounds to feed the local feral colonies. Pet care is my life, not just my routine. There isn't a day that goes by where I am not caring for animals. I will happily comply with my client's instructions about the routine for their pet. I am comfortable giving treats, playing, petting, going on walks/hikes/car rides, feeding, brushing, and crating. About: I’ve grown up with animals of all kinds from as early as I can remember. Being the oldest of my siblings I was the first to have to take on the pet care chores, and this included both our dogs and our cats, and the other types of animals we had in our household. I have pet care experience with dogs and cats, as well as other pets too. When I moved out on my own with my previous partner (2012-2017) we had adopted three rescued cats, and I was the main administer of the diabetic cat’s insulin and late IV fluid treatments. My ex kept our cats in the split, but in 2018 I adopted my first dog completely on my own. She’s a rescue pit bull mix and now, with my current husband, she is joined by another rescued pit bull mix and a rescued cat. Last year we also adopted a red ear slider turtle off the street in Philadelphia and he now enjoys his aquatic terrarium with his guppy and pleco friends. In 2023 I briefly worked for a dog walking company in Ridgefield and was bit by one of the client’s dogs, unprovoked, and because of that I left the service after being blamed for the outburst and attack (despite telling the owners and the employer that the dog was getting increasingly aggressive with me and I wasn’t comfortable walking him anymore). It was the only time I had ever had an animal turn on me like that and it made me rethink working for a service where I wasn’t listened to or given proper protection. My husband and I have been Rover clients since we moved to Connecticut in 2023 and I am very happy to say we have never had a negative experience, which is why I have decided to lend my services to other pets and families in the area that are in need of an experienced pet caretaker. I am a professional actor so I have days that are marked off for auditions and work or rehearsals, however it is not a consistent time or place. I work throughout the Northeast, NYC, and the Mid Atlantic currently with my acting opportunities, but I am also open to short term travel as well. Because of that, my availability is very open some weeks and not as much on others, depending on what projects I am currently involved in and what the scheduling is like. I would love to spend more time your pets in my downtime and give them the attention they require, since mine are pretty saturated in it regularly. I have two dogs, which are extremely friendly and love other dogs, people, and cats! Our cat is very aloof so they wouldn’t be seen much in cases where pet sitting at my home is needed. Our yard is not fenced in but I am very accustomed to taking them out for walks, or having them leashed under my supervision in our yard. Because I live in Newtown, there are plenty of places to get some quality walks in, and we are also not far from open public dog parks either if that suits your furry friend! I also have my own car which I am more than comfortable transporting your pet in or coming to you for check ins or walks. Our dogs are up to date on vaccines so that is not a worry either, and I am diligent in making sure everyone has a great time when their friends (and our human friends) are over too!

About: I enjoy walking a lot, hiking, being very active in general I take caring for animals. I am Olivia, I am 27 and just moved to Connecticut from NY with my husband. I have done animal care for years. I have a cat of my own who is 15, he is an odd ball, very skittish and has help me gain an understanding of how to care for cats. During my cat sitting visits, I will first say the cat's name/names and see if they seem interested in interacting with me. I will ignore them if they seem shy or until they decide they would like to interact with me. I will feed them, clean the litter and whatever else is asked of me for housesitting or care. I have extensive childcare experience with plenty of references upon request, to show my ability to care for people as well as animals. I am looking for this as part time employment as I nanny 3 days a week, so I will be free to provide the best possible care. I recently came back from being a nanny in The Netherlands for 2 years. In regards to my own pets, I keep a consistent feeding and walking schedule, for their sake and so I get used to stay consistent in keeping my dog healthy with plenty of walks and hiking. I like to greet my animals early with cuddles and pets, mid to late day I and my cat will sometimes play with a feather toy or laser. My dog like to dance with me and play tug of war or just run together in the field by the end of my road. In regards to your animals, I make sure to follow the instructions carefully and pay great attention to details. If in your home, I will always make sure to take off my shoes, not make any messes, respect your personal things, and treat your sweet babies as if they were my own! (and play/care for your animals in a way you and them prefer it best)

About: Growing up with cats and various household pets, and loving dogs all my life has lead me to care and appreciate pets into my adult life.
