About: I am an animal lover here to help! I grew up with animals, and have 3 dogs and 2 cats of my own. I also owned ducks and chickens for several the years. I have many years experience with a variety of medical issues pertaining to dogs and cats, including allergies and epilepsy. I also have years of experience in dog and puppy training (not professionally), including adopting my own puppy 2 years ago. That same puppy is now approved and undergoing training to be a psychiatric service dog. My other 2 dogs are also well trained. Although we’re happy to take it easy, we also love to hike and would be happy to take your dog along! I work with animals full time and love it! My schedule changes based on the needs of my clients for that week, and I adjust as needed. My pets are my babies! I have a fenced in yard, with a dog door to access it. It does close, and can be kept closed during the day if needed as my dogs are extremely well trained, and also have the option to access to my home office (a separate building in the back yard) if needed. They have full range and free access to the downstairs, except we discourage them being in the kitchen. Our dogs are kept from the upstairs by a secured baby gate. They are allowed up there, just usually attended because the puppy sometimes confuses her human sisters toys for her own! We have a large property with a trail that we take our dogs up to, and also live very close to several hiking trails that we frequent. One of our dogs had to retire from long walks and hikes, so he stays home now, but he still loves a good car ride and a short easy walk!

When caring for pets in my clients’ homes, I follow all instructions closely, including feeding, medication, and exercise routines. I make sure the home stays safe and secure, sticking to the pet’s usual schedule to keep them comfortable. I give plenty of attention and monitor their health, while keeping their space clean and respecting the client’s home. I also send regular updates to owners and quickly communicate any concerns. About: Although most of my formal rescue work has been with cats, dogs have always been part of my life too. I adopted my Shiba Inu in 2019, and caring for him as he’s aged has given me real-world experience with senior dog needs. He’s now 11+ with a heart condition that requires medication twice a day, and I handle all of his care — nail trims, baths, daily walks, and occasional vet‑prescribed injections for arthritis. He’s taught me so much about patience, routine, and gentle medical handling. Beyond my own dog, I’ve helped care for many dogs belonging to friends and family, each with their own personality and quirks. I’ve worked with a loud, high-energy Red Heeler; several bold little “Napoleon” Chihuahuas; a nervous, skeptical Dachshund; a giant, gentle German Shepherd; multiple Boston Terriers; a super-smart, high-energy Poodle/Yorkie mix; and a regal Doberman Pinscher. These dogs have given me hands-on experience with everything from anxious and spicy temperaments to confident, goofy, or highly intelligent behavior. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs — playing fetch, going for long walks, or even tackling a strenuous hike. Having a good dog as a companion makes those moments even better. I may be a cat specialist by profession, but I’m a dedicated dog owner by heart, and I bring that same love, attentiveness, and adaptability to every dog I look after. Every day I take care of my own personal and foster animals (cats and 1 dog) and then start making my rounds to feed the local feral colonies. Pet care is my life, not just my routine. There isn't a day that goes by where I am not caring for animals. I will happily comply with my client's instructions about the routine for their pet. I am comfortable giving treats, playing, petting, going on walks/hikes/car rides, feeding, brushing, and crating. I understand that animals thrive on consistency and I am able to provide that for them.
