“Raquel was an outstanding dog walker and lover of our dog while we were away on a longer trip. She gave great updates, communicated well, and even cleaned up parts of our house after our winter dog shedded excessively in the summer! We hope to use her in the future and highly recommend her!”

“Diana is an absolute GEM. My dog (and cats) love when she comes for her weekly walk with my little man. She brings a fabulous energy and is so sweet to all of my pets. She goes above and beyond, taking her time with my dog to play a quick fetch or giving the cats some scratches. Can’t say enough how glad we are to have a solid walker. As new dog moms, she’s relieved a lot of anxiety about how his day is going while we’re at work. I feel very comfortable leaving my pets in her care.”

About: I’m a serial long-term pet sitter, and have been pet sitting through Rover for several years! Our family- myself, my partner, Will, our 9 year old son & 5 year old daughter- are huge animal fans! I’ve owned dogs, cats, fish, and lizards myself. We currently have an outgoing, friendly, & vocal black cat named Calzone and a Tetra tank we affectionately call “The Kids”. I am the go-to pet sitter for several family members, friends, and neighbors. We have had pets stay with us for long term stays. So, long term & frequent stays are A-OK… your pet will be cared for like part of the family. I am comfortable caring for farm/hobby farm animals at your home as well. We moved to Bethel (Will & I grew up in the area) in 2024 from our home in Fairfield where we lived for almost 10 years & where I started with Rover! Our home is a single family farmhouse with a huge open yard, meadow, and ponds, abutting wooded trails and a short walk to Huntington Park. Our yard is not fenced, and although our street is relatively quiet, we always are with our visitor dogs when outside. Dogs with strong prey drive might not be a good fit for stays at our house, but could be a great fit for care in your home, walks, etc.

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats since I could walk, so caring for animals has always felt second nature. I also volunteer as a dog walker, socializer, and trainer at Danbury Animal Welfare Society, where I work with dogs of different temperaments, energy levels, and needs. My style is calm, patient, and attentive, whether your dog needs a real exercise walk, your cat needs a quiet check-in, or your older pet just needs someone gentle and consistent. I know trusting someone with your pet and your home is a big deal, so I take reliability seriously. I’ll show up when I say I will, pay attention to your pet’s routine, and send clear updates so you know they’re safe, happy, and cared for. I currently work full time, but my evenings and weekends are often free. I’m a good fit for weekend walks, evening check-ins, drop-in visits, and occasional pet care when your regular routine needs extra support. Because I value reliability, I only accept bookings I know I can show up for fully and on time. I pay close attention to each pet’s body language, comfort level, routines, and boundaries, and I never force interactions with people, dogs, or unfamiliar situations. For walks, I keep dogs securely leashed, avoid unsafe areas, and adjust the pace to the dog’s age, energy, and temperament. I’m comfortable with shy, anxious, energetic, and older pets, and I believe patience and consistency go a long way. For drop-ins, I’ll respect your home, follow your instructions carefully, check food, water, litter, doors, and gates, and send clear updates so you know how your pet is doing.
About: Since childhood, I’ve owned multiple dog breeds, cats, and rabbits. I have experience in working with many different sized animals, many different breeds, and animals that can be more challenging. I volunteer in an animal assisted therapy program that caters to children with special needs, in addition to my career as a hairstylist. 🐶 🦮 🐾 I will be caring for your animals in your home, walking them outside in your neighborhood, or at a local park if you’re comfortable. I’m currently unable to care for or board any other animals in my own home.
“Sarah has been absolutely wonderful with taking care of my baby boy! From the very beginning, she’s shown a genuine love and care for him that puts my mind at ease. She has such a warm and friendly personality, and it’s clear she treats all the fur babies she cares for like her own. I always look forward to her updates—she sends the sweetest photos from their walks, and it’s so comforting to know he’s getting plenty of love, attention, and belly rubs while I’m working long hours. Her reliability, thoughtfulness, and clear passion for animals really stand out. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy pet caregiver”

About: Hi! My name is Gianna, and I offer reliable, caring pet care services for both dogs and cats. My services may include dog walking, drop-in visits, feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, playtime, potty breaks, basic cleanup, companionship, and photo updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I am also happy to follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, whether that means specific feeding instructions, favorite toys, preferred walking routes, or extra cuddle time. I have about 6 years of experience caring for pets, including dogs and cats with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I understand that every pet is different. Some pets need lots of activity and attention, while others need patience, gentleness, and time to warm up. I always try to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, so I take that responsibility seriously. I currently work from home and also attend school online, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to spend more quality time with pets. Because I am home often and not commuting to an office every day, I am able to provide attentive care, check-ins, and companionship throughout the day depending on your pet’s needs. I am doing pet care as a way to make school more manageable while also doing something I genuinely enjoy. I would love the opportunity to care for your pets like they are my own. Whether your pet needs a walk, a visit, playtime, feeding, or just someone kind and dependable to keep them company, I am happy to help. My goal is to make sure your pet feels loved, safe, and comfortable while giving you peace of mind. I am currently working full-time remotely but am looking to supplement my time with animal care. I have always loved animals and it’s important to me. I take it very seriously, I want everyone to know that I will love your animal as much as mine. I will always make sure that it is a delicate process.
“Stuart had an issue getting my dog to go back in my home after her walk was over. Christmas Eve wanted to stay laying on the grass outside. Stuart immediately contacted me for assistance in getting Chrissy back in the home. She finally was coaxed to oblige with her favorite dog treat. Thank you again Stuart”

About: I have experience with pets of all kinds — high-energy dogs who need long hikes and treat-based enrichment, small animals and cats I’ve grown up with, and senior dogs who need a softer touch. I take pride in tuning in to each pet’s unique needs, whether that’s adventure, comfort, or calm companionship. I work from home Monday and Friday where my morning starts with letting my dog out, feeding our guinea pigs, and letting our turkeys out into their pen. Saturday and Sunday are usually weather dependent. If it’s bad weather out I will break out the snuffle mat for some mental stimulation for my dog. If it’s nice I usually go on at least one long hike. Pets kept overnight will be kept in the spare bedroom, which has a bed they can sleep on, or space for a crate. I have one which can be used if pet is crate trained. During the work day they will be kept separate from my dog using gates and dogs get to run around in our fenced in yard.
About: I’m reliable, communicative, and will always keep you updated with messages and photos so you can feel confident your pet is safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’ve been around and caring for dogs for most of my life, including my own dog Max, who I got when I was 14 and truly consider my soul dog. He passed away in July 2025 from complications related to megaesophagus, but for a year and a half before that, I helped manage his condition after we were initially told he only had 30 days to live. That experience taught me so much about patience, consistency, and providing attentive, specialized care. Because of these experiences, I’m especially comfortable with dogs who may need extra patience, have medical needs, or experience anxiety. I work full-time during the week, but I’m always available for morning and evening visits, including feeding, walks, playtime, and general care. I’m off every other weekend, as well as some Mondays and Fridays, which gives me extra flexibility for longer visits or overnight stays. I’m also happy to accommodate overnight care when needed, so your pet can stick to their normal routine and feel comfortable while you’re away. I’m reliable, communicative, and will make sure your pet gets consistent care and attention. In a client’s home, I aim to keep things as consistent as possible—following feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions you provide. I’m comfortable with feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter boxes or picking up after pets, and making sure they get plenty of attention and care. I also make sure your home is respected and kept tidy while you’re away. For overnight stays, I help maintain your pet’s normal routine so they feel safe and comfortable in their environment.
About: I've had dogs my entire life and am comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and energy levels. I previously worked at a dog kennel, where I gained experience with feeding, exercise, and providing a safe environment for pets. I also regularly dog sit and cat sit for friends and family, caring for their pets as if they were my own. I'm reliable and committed to making sure every pet feels comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you're away I decided not to work full time the summer before starting law school! So I have plenty to take care of animals and I am available on weekends too! I make sure to follow instructions thoroughly and prioritize safety for everyone in involved. For my home specifically, I have one dog who is very friendly and loves other dogs!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
