“Fergus our 1 year old had a wonderful time at Kyle's. He played all day and was very comfortable there. We will definitely book again and build up some overnights. Its a great relief to have found a safe place and a caring dog lover to watch him.”

“We left Boone with Ryan for a few hours and boy did our boy came home sooooo exhausted! Ryan took him to the local dog park to run around and then he played with another pup at the house the rest of the night. Ryan’s communication is great, sharing videos and photos all throughout Boone’s stay. We’ll definitely keep Ryan in mind to watch our boy again in the future.”

“Nicole was great with my dog Annie for our doggy day care trial run for a future Annie boarding. This is the first time that I've been away from my dog in quite some time and Nicole was equally great at easing my anxiety. Nicole has a natural presence around Annie and is solid in picking up her behavior and it was an overall nice and comfortable experience. Thank you!”

“Rachel was amazing with our deaf pup, Hazel! She was so communicative and made us feel comfortable. Hazel had a wonderful time at daycare! Would recommend Rachel to everyone!”

About: Dogs thrive on calm structure and that’s exactly what I provide. I create a controlled, low stress environment where dogs are calm, well managed, and set up for success. I’m a sitter with formal training in dog behavior, and I’m currently continuing my education through an accredited, science based training program. My approach goes beyond basic pet sitting, I focus on structure, clear boundaries, and reading behavior to prevent issues before they start. I specialize in dogs that need structure and guidance, whether that’s anxious dogs, easily overstimulated dogs, or dogs adjusting to a new environment. My focus is helping dogs stay calm, regulated, and comfortable, not just physically tired. Every dog is handled intentionally and with clear structure, not as part of a chaotic group setting. Pet care is my full-time work, so your dog’s routine becomes part of my routine. Meals, walks, rest, enrichment, and any training cues you already use are followed as consistently as possible. I keep things structured and predictable so dogs, especially anxious, reactive, or easily overstimulated ones, can settle in and feel secure. My home is structured, supervised, and calm, not a chaotic group setup or a free for all. Dogs are introduced thoughtfully, given clear boundaries, and supported with a predictable routine so they feel safe and secure. I tailor the environment to each dog, including decompression time, quiet space, and supervised social time only when appropriate. My focus is always on behavior, safety, and preventing overstimulation or unsafe situations. My approach is best suited for dogs who can follow structure and benefit from a calm, well-managed environment. I am not a good fit for dogs that rely on constant high energy group play or a completely unstructured routine.
“Highly recommend! My baby was well taken care of! Tinaclem was super friendly. When we arrived she introduced her dog with mine and brought them both to the back yard so she can get familiar with the yard and was very welcoming! Many walks and lots of pics for updates! ❤️My baby was pooped for days! She already misses Elvis! Sweet dog she has!”

“Dew goes above and beyond for my puppy. Checks in regularly when he is in her care and even checks in when he is at home. As a first time user of a dog-sitter, I was anxious about leaving my puppy in someone else’s care. Dew almost immediately alleviated my concerns. I feel like her care has been a major benefit for me and for my puppy’s social development. Will continue to take advantage of Dew’s services for the foreseeable future. Highly recommended!”

“Rachael was able to help us out with very little notice. She was so sweet with my 2 pups and they loved her. They are older and really just want someone to sit with them and give them hugs. My chihuahua is sometimes a little grouchy & nervous. Rachael put them right at ease and handled them well on walks. We hope we can have her back again soon!”

“Isabel was fantastic with our high energy dog, Crash. She was so caring and patient, and our pup loved hanging in the yard with her new dog friends! We would absolutely bring our dog back to Isabel’s anytime.”

About: Welcome to our home! We’re a family of passionate dog lovers, and when your dog stays with us, they’ll be treated like one of our own. From cozy cuddle sessions to fun-filled walks and playtime, your pup will be in a loving and active environment where they can truly feel at home. With years of experience caring for dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to senior dogs needing a little extra care, we understand the unique needs of each one. Whether your dog needs regular medication or just a bit more attention, we’re fully prepared to provide the care and love they deserve. Since we both work from home, your dog will always have company and plenty of opportunities for walks, play, and affection. We only board one dog at a time to make sure your furry friend receives our full attention. In addition to boarding, we also offer doggy day care. We believe in building trust with both you and your dog, so we like to meet new clients in advance. This gives us a chance to get to know you and your dog, and for you to see where your dog will be staying, so you can feel completely at ease while they’re with us. We can’t wait to welcome your dog into our home and provide them with a fun, caring, and comfortable stay! Nothing makes us happier than seeing one of our guests excited to come for another visit. My husband and I work from home. I am an accountant and my husband is in the creative arts. We love having an excuse to step away from our desks, go outside and spend some time with our canine guests. We have a friendly old King Charles Spaniel that Can keep your dog company and we live on a beautiful secluded circle with almost no traffic for long safe walks.
About: I am an animal lover here to help! I grew up with animals, and have 3 dogs and 2 cats of my own. I also owned ducks and chickens for several the years. I have many years experience with a variety of medical issues pertaining to dogs and cats, including allergies and epilepsy. I also have years of experience in dog and puppy training (not professionally), including adopting my own puppy 2 years ago. That same puppy is now approved and undergoing training to be a psychiatric service dog. My other 2 dogs are also well trained. Although we’re happy to take it easy, we also love to hike and would be happy to take your dog along! I work with animals full time and love it! My schedule changes based on the needs of my clients for that week, and I adjust as needed. My pets are my babies! I have a fenced in yard, with a dog door to access it. It does close, and can be kept closed during the day if needed as my dogs are extremely well trained, and also have the option to access to my home office (a separate building in the back yard) if needed. They have full range and free access to the downstairs, except we discourage them being in the kitchen. Our dogs are kept from the upstairs by a secured baby gate. They are allowed up there, just usually attended because the puppy sometimes confuses her human sisters toys for her own! We have a large property with a trail that we take our dogs up to, and also live very close to several hiking trails that we frequent. One of our dogs had to retire from long walks and hikes, so he stays home now, but he still loves a good car ride and a short easy walk!

“We've had a wonderful experience with Valerie; she is sweet and very attentive to us and our puppy. Her home is very welcoming to pets. She sends photos and videos throughout the day, and we see what a great time our Lily is having with her dog Henry. Looking forward to another stay.”

About: I have taken care of dogs and various other pets my whole adult life. I believe trust is the most important thing when it comes to leaving your pets with a sitter and I can assure you I will treat your pets like I would my own, with love and respect. Your dog will be staying in a family style boarding situation, where they get the love and attention from myself, my husband and our 2 children (7 and 10) who adore helping out with all the pups. We have a large fenced in back yard for lots of supervised running, playing and sniffing! I am trained in obedience training and can provide puppy socialization. Please reach out to me with any questions or to schedule a meeting! Boarding is always available. I am available weekdays after 8:30 am - 3:30 pm for walks, drop ins, puppy socialization or obedience training. I am fully available on the weekends for boarding, walking, drop-ins, puppy socialization and obedience training. I have 3 extremely friendly small dogs for your fur baby to play with or relax with. I strive to make the dogs that stay here comfortable and as stress free as possible.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
